I have rented a climate controlled 10'x15' space at the Public storage location in Lake Wylie,SC 29710 for 9 yrs. I will say in all honesty that Amanda the current manager is the only person I have every had contact with in all these years with this company that helped me with anything. She is amazing and really cares about her customers. I hope she is at this location for a very long time. Up until the recent help she gave me my experience with this company has be poor. This location has such pleasant employees. I've not spoken to one employee that wasn't polite, professional, and so courteous. Amanda is definitely the Go-To Person when you need complete honest and accurate information. She has always been so helpful to me and informative. Amanda is what I call, someone who will do all that she can, while retaining Integrity at all times, and remaining courteous always. Ms. Patricia is very kind, sweet, and relatable, which goes such a long way. The prices are a bit on the outrageous side, especially with the continuous rate increase (Due to the Location) which is what I'm told by corporate. However, when it comes to courtesy and customer service, this location definitely tops all the other Public Storage locations that I've used in the past. Thanks for the great customer service you provide Lake Wylie Team, as it's hard to find courtesy today. Horrible service to loyal customers over years!!!! wasn't even renting from this location but all of a sudden they were the ones involved with selling units not on their property! Hate this place!!! Disgusting unappreciative & non empathic to people with disabilities/parents with kids as well. Showed no remorse in anything so I'm not either. Yall are disgusting & can't wait for Karma to all involve no mercy.

(JULY 2023) I'll fix my rating when you fix your office hours this is the second time I've had to sit here for over an hour. Sat outside the main office on a Saturday everytime I call it says you are open till 5 its 230 I've been here since 1 and I haven't seen nor heard from anyone who works here if you're closed you're closed but don't say you're open when you have no one here I let it go the first time thinking hey it happens but on multiple occasions im gonna say something

was trying to help out a friend and help her move items into her storage unit however our encounter with the lady up front.. I believe her name was Chelsea but I may be wrong.. was horrible. She was rude and snappy from the very beginning. It was our first time renting a storage unit so we needed guidance on how to obtain the key and use the gate. The email accidently went to my friends spam box so we came inside hoping to be greeted and guided. We filed a complaint against her with the district manager.

This location is AH-MAZING! Cassie walked me through the entire process making it practically effortless. I could NOT be happier! Thank you!

Public Storage is great you can literally do everything online. If you have any questions you can call but uts just like they describe. Reasonable rate.

They will charge you for a lock and won't give you a refund if you use it!!!! I was only there for 2 months and they won't take this lock back because I didn't return it within a month's time. The problem is, I didn't know about it until after I signed everything! When I called to ask to return it they told me to keep it and said "good luck" using it somewhere else. These locks are made specifically for Public Storage, why would I want to keep it after that? They were incredibly rude and inconsiderate.

I'm only rating this facility as a one because I don't have any other option! They continuously increase their monthly rates.... Mine went from $125, to $146 and now to $186 within a years time. When it went from $125 to $146 I called the location and expressed concerns and was told the increase would be removed. Little did I know, because the manager didn't disclose that information to me, was that it was only temporary. I have an indoor unit which I thought would protect my items from pest/rodents but it does not. I have had to spray and put down traps of my on to keep them out of my unit. Management seemed not to be concerned at all after I made them aware. Reached out to customer service today to ask why the pricing online was cheaper than what I was paying and asked for my rent to be reduced considering the issues I've had and was told they couldn't do anything. He told me I could reserve ANOTHER unit and move my stuff from one to another to get a lower rate. What a JOKE?!!! Not to mention surrounding Storage Units in the area have lower rates as well. I will be moving my items when I get the opportunity to. Such a horrible experience.

Measurements not even close. Rented a 10' x 10' unit. Sizes are "approximate" so I don't expect exactly 10x10, but it should be close. Unit actually measures closer to 8'6" x 8'6". I expected to be getting 100sq.ft. of floor space, and in actuality am getting closer to 73sq.ft. of floor space. Losing nearly 25% of expected floor space seems to be a huge loss in approximation. If it had been 9'8" or 9'6"? I could almost see that... but come on, you're telling me your "approximate" measurements are going to be nearly a foot and a half off? No real issue with customer service, but the misleading dimensions are a huge turn off to me. I'm hoping I don't need the space for very long.
