This place is ridiculous. No human is ever there. The voicemail system is an antique. Two years ago we began storage @ $48.00/month. Now they jumped to $85.00, in 2 years for NOTHING; no climate control which we knew and accepted. But we rented their lock for a $50.00 deposit and now they claim we bought the lock, so no refund. Find another place folks!

The gate will lock you in if you are 1 minute past closing time; it's very inconvenient. There should have been someone there to regulate outgoing renters.
Roach infestation. My stuff was stored less than a month and it was infested with roaches.
Tammy and the rest of the crew here are seriously amazing! Everyone has been super helpful and easy to work with. The facility is always clean and secure. They’re continuously out checking the grounds and even checking on the renters. I trust this facility with storing items for my business and I will continue to do so!
*UPDATE - I was out of town during a recent storm and I somehow messed up my account. I came in and Tammy was just as awesome as always. In no time she had everything fixed and reset for me!
Tammy came to my aid. In a business environment she managed to make me feel valued. My computer literacy is next to nothing,she provided a lovely pen and told me to get writing she will take care of the rest. Such a non assuming woman.

I rent a parking spot for a boat. A safe, easy access storage site, plenty of room to maneuver my boat in and out, and owners/staff are so very friendly and helpful, just can’t say enough good things about Angel. I highly recommend this for storage.
My girlfriend and I have had a unit here for over a year and wanted to give a fair warning of our experiences at the public storage off of Hwy 61.
we are currently paying $90 more than our original price we signed up for a year ago. Rates go up about $20-$40 every 2-3months.
I was reading reviews and wish I had made one sooner because I saw a similar issue happen around the same time frame, around November of 2023 our unit price was taken from our bills account twice. An overcharge. On a bank statement it clearly stated the account was billed twice. The girls in the office informed us there was nothing they could do and to contact corporate. This issue was NEVER resolved and we were just left paying double for our unit right before Christmas!
…. Overall it’s been an extremely poor experience with constant rate increases, and account overcharges.

Ms. Angel is AWESOME and very professional. However, they started charging me 164.00 and said insurance was mandatory (not true). Now I have to pay $208.00 a month for a 10x10 plus taxes and fees. I'm moving to another storage company that's cheaper.
I am very late in posting this review. I have been keeping my boat here for a little over a year now. Tammy has been amazing and I trust that my property is well looked after. She almost always comes out to chat with me when I’m there picking it up or dropping it off. And she has reached out to me in the past when she thought something was amiss (It wasn’t thank goodness). It’s extremely comforting knowing my belongings are safe and that I can always count on superb customer service. I highly recommend this facility.
Trying to find movers now to get out of my unit. I would comment more on the friendliness of the staff were I not being charged twice the advertised rate as punishment for storing my stuff more than, what was it, 3 months? I understand all these places are all rackets to bleed people of money in a similar manner but I found one that would at least agree not to raise the price for a year. Or I could pull all my stuff out and get another unit at the “first month for a dollar then $95.” Or you could have some integrity in your business model. This is why you chase us down wanting those reviews immediately isn’t it? So we will share how wonderful you are before you double the rent and bleed us.

Tammy was very helpful and prompt in sorting out an issue I had. Great service with a smile! Wish loyal, longtime customers were given more reasonable rates. That is a corporate issue, though, and does not reflect on the friendly, local staff.
Tammy was an extremely nice to us we had just moved almost 300 miles and had to move all of our stuff from a 6x12 trailer into a storage in 97° heat and Tammy kept checking on making sure we were okay. She also gave us ice cold water to keep us hydrated and even gave us a RYOBI cordless fan to keep us cooled down. Tammy is so nice she gives amazing hospitality and if I ever have to store anything it will definitely be with the public storage.
Tammy is amazing at this facility. We were moving long distance from Georgia to Charleston and had to store everything we own in a public storage unit until able to tackle down a place of residence. The day we were to arrive at public storage our house closing got thrown off a day and Tammy called us 400 miles away to see if we were okay. Not to see when we would be there but an honest inquiry about how the trip was going to get here and if she can be available upon arriving. She was there and even called while we were in route to be sure we could get there in time. The hours of operation vs traffic we’re not on our side but Tammy went above and behind to accommodate us.
Once moving into the unit that day it was over 105 degrees and she came by with a portable fan. Good lord you cannot ask for better !
We still go in and out of the unit while moving and every single time there has been a human on the site ; either Tammy or Angel has been there for us while also getting a key stuck in the unit. I am very busy person and never take the time to write a review but after seeing these gals cruise around the golf cart on property during a hurricane to check on units and people there , it goes without saying this five star review is worth writing. Thank you ladies.

We had things stored there for
several years. The only problem we ever had was the elevator being out of service for a few weeks last year. The only reason we left is because prices of everything are escalating and our fixed-income does not.

I have never had a more personable experience with a company. Facility is clean, well maintained, and seems secure. We have a climate controlled unit and the temperature in the building is always within an acceptable range.

After 3 months of not paying my bill because of being in the hospital they auctioned off $3,000 worth of my recording equipment as well as the title to my truck. All for apparently $75 and they still billed me. If you don't pay them in a timely manner they will take everything from you and ask for more

This is a great reasonably priced option that’s very secure (code needed for gate, door, and elevator). Location is a nightmare in terms of traffic but if you don’t need to go there regularly it’s a great spot to store. I’m paying less than half of what I’m paying downtown for the same size space. Office staff is very friendly and helpful. They keep the place neat at clean.
I have been looking for a place to store our camping trailer so that we can free up room in the driveway for the vehicles we drive. When I made inquiries by phone or e-mail at local storage facilities other than Public Storage all I received was the runaround and excuses. Not so with Public Storage. I was greeted with respect and treated like my business was really appreciated when I showed up today. I got the grand tour of their faculties, picked a spot for our camper, completed the contractual paperwork, paid for 6 months of storage and was on my way back home in under an hour, extremely satisfied with the service received. I enjoyed the experience and highly recommend Public Storage to anyone who is looking for storage solutions. You won’t be disappointed. Their storage areas are secure. Their employees are very helpful, friendly and super nice. And, from what I observed, they treat their customers almost like family. That means a lot to me. Thank you Public Storage.

When you are dealing with obstacles in your life and things get tough, it gets hard to catch up with what seems like anything and everything. I will keep this short and sweet. Moved in April 2022. Had to go back and forth with corporate and whomever I was directed to 3x end of May trying to switch units. The woman I spoke to at the facility insisted I'd have to pay admin fee again, she was incorrect. I ended up saying screw it and kept unit. Checked it a month in it was infested with ants. Angel was helpful and sprayed some pesticides in my unit. Had to go out of town that day for months. 👍They raised it from $94 to $120 two months ago❤️. Woot Woot! Going rate for same unit inside (mine is outside) is $54. They did lower my rate after review to $108 , thank you. I understand market price etc but you would think they'd want to keep customers.

I just left here… Please please… Do not come here if you have to deal with Angel. If you see her run… she is awful… I waited almost an hour standing there for someone to speak to. Called and no answer. Tried to tell angel the issue she cut me off loudly while another customer was in the office and wouldn’t let me speak. This lady was extremely nasty, disgustingly disrespectful. I asked for a manager she stated her manager Chelsey doesn’t have time for this she doesn’t even live in South Carolina she lives in Georgia and she is not calling her boss for me. She will call sometime next week, she don’t know… I was calm and kept asking her why is she so angry, loud, and rude I am not looking for confrontation.. just a solution.. She said .. well.. all because I needed to find my unit and the app wasn’t working/ stood in line for almost an hour/ called and no answer… this lady needs help badly…. I asked for a refund… this lady shouldn’t be anywhere near a customer service job.
I've been with public storage for six months now. No problems what so ever, real secured inside and outside. The property manager Ms. Angel just blessed me for rest of the year.

After interacting with one of the rudest customer service reps ever in their office I left. Called a few friends and was referred over to Extra Space storage where Darren greeted me and showed me my options in person and actually ended up beating the PS price. Didn't get her name but the PS woman that rudely informed me she was on a conference call and directed me to a child's drawn pic on the wall to refer to the storage area I needed was very unpleasant and unprofessional. Do better.

Easy process the whole way through, was able to get a unit the same day. Move out process was just as simple. Angel was very helpful with my questions as well.
I rented here for about 6 months. The price skyrocketed from 37.00 a month to 66.00. It looked like my items were chewed on that were in boxes. Do not recommend.
Nina made the process of adapting and switching storage spaces from what I booked online to a slightly larger space a breeze. Everything was explained clearly and the controlled building is well kept and so safe and easy to access. Brava!!
