I went to check in on my unit for the first time in nearly seven months. I couldn’t remember my unit number, nor location. Cheri in the office was just an absolute pleasure to work with. She was quick to give my information and show me where to go. She has a pleasant, friendly non-fake demeanor.

Had my daughters dorm room items in this climate controlled unit. EVERYTHING in there was full of MOLD! The guy at the desk was very nice said he would contact the manager and let him know I would hear from someone the next day. crickets, I have heard nothing. We had to spend upwards of $500 to replace what was damaged. The guy said either the roof leaked or the hvac. For as much mold as was on everything I’m safe to say there was also no ac for a lengthy time. We placed items in storage in beginning of May and got them out aug 21. So three months and this is how bad the mold is. BEWARE! This is not covered under my ins because the damage is from their roof leak. Again Boone has even reached out. They do not care.
I was supposed to get my 2nd month free based on a promotion on their WEBSITE the attendant called the manager and set it up for me and made sure the unit that Im getting is applicable to the offer. When it was time for my second month they somehow have no recollection of that whatsoever and it totally disappeared from the system.. highly NOT recommend

Phenomenal location just based off of west chester pike at providence road. I highly recommend this location as a place to base your storage needs off of, they offer a great amount of items as well in case you need anything for moving, storing, etc. Also the lady who works their Cheri was top notch in her knowledge and expertise of the industry and pricing. I've never had an issue with anyone at this specific location. It's clean but I can never find a cart or dolly anywhere. The main issue I have is the price. It's overpriced to begin with. I only gave them a shot because of a deal which they didn't even honor.. The rates have been going up $50+ at least once a year. I'm over $500 for a 10x10 right now.
I was shown a few different size units and the buildings were really nice and clean. I like how private the surrounding area is.

Horrible experience here. A ghost town. Can’t ever get a hold of anyone. Gate has been broken for close to a week. Can’t get in to drop off boxes . A complete waste of a unit
Summary: DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES ENTRUST YOUR POSSESSIONS TO THIS FACILITY.
Moving is always a major hassle to begin with. So how can you make it worse? By finding out on the day of your move that WATER has gotten into your storage unit and destroyed your valuable and irreplaceable items that you entrusted to the facility for the sake of simply keeping them safe for a few months. Thousands of dollars of damage to personal items, and delays for the moving company that endangered our contract. Maybe you're asking "why didn't I get insurance?" Well guess what. I did. And the insurance company DID NOT PAY FOR THE DAMAGED ITEMS. SCAM. This not a trustworthy site. Avoid at all costs.
Went to two locations to look at units. Very clean facility and the property manger is great at answering my questions.

I visited this establishment about a week ago. I was looking for some storage space and I didn’t know what to start off with. The young man that works there by the name of Terrance what is so helpful he walk me through the whole process and I know I was a little annoying at times but his patience was phenomenal. I was so impressed with his knowledge. He was very well spoken. This kid is going big places just by his mannerism.

Today I met a tremendous young man by the name of Terrence, who is managing the public storage unit in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania. The move on my part was very stressful, however, Terrence brought a bit of pleasantries and humor to the situation that we have encountered. My transactions with Terrence were seamless and easy as he has such great knowledge of his business and office company.. I am a 33 year retired lawyer and I can tell you this- with Terrence, his intelligence and pleasant personal I would hire him in my law office in a heartbeat if I was still practicing. Quite honestly, I’ve never met a young man with such great values-he will be teaching children after his graduation for West Chester University- and other attributes that he acquired most likely from great parenting, and a good education environment! The entire process was made easier, faster, and much more smooth by the employee Rachel who was on staff at the Public Storage located at 5085 West Chester Pike, Newton Square, PA, 19073. As this was my first time using a storage service the help was very much appreciated. This was impressive also considering she was handling more than just me as there were other customers coming in and calling and yet she managed to get us all sorted quickly and efficiently despite being the only employee at the location. Honestly I had contemplated switching to a U-Haul storage facility much closer to my location last minute due to its convenience, but I'm glad I stayed with Public Storage entirely due to this one employee. I'd apologize for the dramatics in these comments, but truly someone should give Rachel a raise or promotion.

Everything about Public Storage is unethical, from fee increases, fines and customer service. They have an I don’t care attitude.
I first obtained this 15x30 unit 2 yrs ago for $175 per month. Price is now 263.00
For 8 months now I have not been able to access the unit because the door is broken. I can not use 60 sqft of the unit because they need access to repair the door .. After 8 months no discounts , door is not fixed and shoulder where door fell on me still acts up.
I will be filing legal action against Newtown Sqaure locations. Maybe that will get the attention needed to make them honor there end of the contract

After you spend a lot of money moving the items into storage, they performed a Bait & Switch. In just 3 months in April 2021, they increased the rent from $173.84 to $198.22, a 14% increase. Then just 12 months later in April 2022, they increased the rent another 37% to $272.42. So, in less than 16 months they increased the rent 57%. They can abuse the customer because of the difficulty and expense of moving to another Storage Location. This is unethical, abusive and they need to be held accountable so they cannot abuse other customers. The district manager, Devon, is currently working on helping to resolve this matter.

Their definition of climate controlled is different from mine. Matching ambient 40 degree outside air is odd climate control in the winter. Also, they do not offer prorated fees for early move out. Lost out on 2 weeks worth of money they will most likely doubledip on.
