Yet ANOTHER UPDATE: forced to use fire escape to get out. Fire escape DID NOT SIGNAL FIRE SYSTEM. WATER DRIPPING INSIDE UNIT COMPANY REP GAVE ME A BOX TO LAY OVER MY THINGS. ANOTHER UPDATE: currently trapped inside the garage the doors are not opening and there is no worker here. Have been trapped for 15 minutes. Update: another episode of couldn’t use the facilities. This time because two unsavory characters were building a castle of totes in front of the elevators and had both their vehicles blocking the exit. People were actively complaining to the worker and he just kept shrugging and doing nothing. Another huge drive to waste my time. Will be leaving this unit asap. Effing elevator is broken with no communication sent to renters. Drove hour and a half to my storage unit and couldn’t even use it.

Never anyone in office. I need help getting new keys to my unit (which has gone up $50 since January), I’ve been to the unit a dozen times and no one’s in. I’ve called and left many voicemails. No response.

Pretty secure, clean. Nice staff. BUT… there are no carts to move your stuff. When they first opened there were a few but for the last few months none. I bring a wheelbarrow with me every time. Apparently people just lock them in their units and they say there’s nothing to do about it but they need to check them out to people or something. Will be moving out soon which is a bummer because it’s very close to my house.

They are only open until 6pm weekdays and 5pm on the weekend.

Ok I am beginning to agree with all of these low reviews! I am trying to open my storage that I just rented and can't get the door to open. Office hours are supposed to be 6a but no one is in the office. This place is a ridiculous maze, just finding my space was a chore. Put up some signs! This is ridiculous, first of all, what is a "hasp" ? Finally figured out how to get the door up and now how do I install this lock? No instructions on anything!! I finally got it all figured out with the help of a friend who doesn't even work for Public Storage! Thank you Tina! And, now, I want to move some stuff in today but all the carts are locked up in the office where no one is available. I have to carry items one by one to the basement?? AND trying to setup this app?? Forget about it! Jeremiah is still amazing!

New building. Helpful staff. Not the hours of accessibility one might expect... seems to close up a bit on the early side compared to other locations. I've been here about a year and a half now, and I had to drop some stars. There are never any of the push carts anywhere to be found, which makes moving large, heavy items to the rear corner a challenge. Also, rate hikes with nothing to show for it. I at least was notified of the first one, but there must have been an additional one or two that I was unaware of... now paying nearly double what I had signed up for

Everything is clean and well kept. Joel has been super nice each time I’ve been there and was especially patient with my lack of understanding around the access hours. 5 stars!!

Staff was very polite and knowledgeable, Jacob was able to answer all my questions and make recommendations for me. The facility was clean and welcoming. Highly recommend this location!

WARNING ‼️ DO NOT RENT FROM THESE GUYS‼️ I travel a lot, and have lived the last few years mostly out of the states. I have been with Public Storage less than a year. I am currently renting a 10x10 indoor temp controlled unit. It started $77 dollars when I first moved in, plus $15 for standard insurance… $92 per month total. After less than 6 months of renting from them they bumped up the price of my unit to $139.00… an almost $50 dollar increase (THAT IS LITERALLY A 54% MARK UP) with no changes to services and less than a year in this storage. Today, I just received yet another notice, that just after the 1 year mark, next month, THE PRICE IS GOING UP AGAIN $169‼️‼️ ANOTHER $30 dollars. TOTALING A MORE THAN 100% INCREASE IN RENT IN JUST A FEW DAYS OVER A YEAR! Prior to moving into this storage, I had a U-Haul storage for $78 dollars a month, for 2 years before a price adjustment to $105was made and it stayed that way for a year and a half till I moved out. This is a BAIT AND SWITCH. And they prey on people who don’t live local or are not in the position to just move their stuff out because they keep skyrocketing the rates! BEWARE of the Reasonable opening offer online to get you hooked, THEY WILL INCREASE THE RATES ON YOU BY MORE THAN 100%. I mean this kind of thing is so outrageous, it seems like it would actually be illegal. 🤦🏽 Just do yourself a favor and rent with a reliable good company, that has values and cares more about a sustained relationship than ripping its customers off.

You could be possible to reach anybody to get help and when you do try to reach somebody to get help. They basically hang up on you. Do not do not. Do not use this place. Do not

They only have 1 cart available. And if someone leaves it somewhere... Their excuse is people keep stealing them. They often don't have staff in the building and lock the door when the one staff person is not at the front desk. Customer service is unhelpful. Their big gate is broken... All these add up to a no go. If you can afford to pay a little more go for a diff3rent storage.

The worst public storage facility out there. Hours of access are ridiculous. Their policies change depending on who is working. Rude staff that is hardly ever there. Do not recommend at all!!

When I cut the lock out hours too close and got locked in, the customer support refused to let me out. She wanted photos of my license plate, drivers license, etc, but still refused to let me out saying I would need to update my credentials with the manager the following morning. I told her I could do that, but she still needed to let us out of I would call the cops. She told me to go ahead and call the cops. YOU ARE NOT SAFE HERE.

I had a wonderful visit today at Public Storage. Abbigael was enthusiastic and helpful. I LOVE her personality she definitely made an impact in my day today. What a joyful human on such a gloomy rainy day. :)

Gate was broken on the first day. Staff won't return phone calls. The phone number keeps going to voicemail. People were stuck inside and outside without access to their units. Couldn't get in while trying to transfer my stuff from another facility. What a mess!!! Poorly run. Bad decision to rent here.

Abigail handled a multi faceted challenge this morning (12/1) with humor and aplomb. She also introduced me to the facility, (My first time here!).

The staff are friendly but otherwise this location just has so many problems. I would strongly discourage renting here. My primary issue is that the elevators were broken for 3 weeks right before my move. I was given no notice of the issue, provided no way to access my unit outside of staff hours, and told that I'd be charged rent if my stuff was trapped inside. The office manager was sympathetic but didn't seem empowered to speed things along. This capped off a 14 month stay with multiple problems. Firstly I received two rent increases totaling 60% my starting rate. Second a sprinkler leaked in my unit causing property damage. Lastly access to the units is difficult even when the elevators work: the limited hours means everyone is trying to access their unit at the same time and the garage only reasonably supports 4 cars - any additional cars block people in and there aren't enough dollies anyhow. Getting in and out felt like Tetris at all hours on all days. Expect to be asked to move your car if making multiple trips. Things like climate control and unit quality were fine, but with how much went wrong I'd only come back as a last resort. Very disappointing

Worst storage facility ever. It’s already annoying that they close the gates at 5-6pm but the fact that the elevator has been out for weeks is the absolute cherry on top. They raised the rent and if I want to leave, I have to carry it down from the 3rd floor? This place is a major scam.

So one evening after hours my husband was lost on Columbia blvd and turned into the public storage driveway to turn around. In the mean time the gate that he had not noticed which was open had now closed locking my husband and our car inside the facility parking lot. He tried for over an hour to reach someone thru the call box to no avail and finally flagged a passer by down since he had forgotten his phone at home. After contacting the only number I could online I was told by the woman I spoke with that he needed to email them a Pic of his driver's license as well as his license plate to prove he was not a tenant there. Before they would give him a code to open the gate. Needless to say after 5.5 hours my husband finally dug a hole under the gate and took a cab home leaving our car locked in. So to any homeless people wanting an unguarded place to sleep at night this is the place since in almost 6 hours there had not been anyone on site nor anyone periodically checking on the facility or watching any cameras. So obviously security there is nonexistent and anyone looking for a place to spend all night breaking into lockers you can do this there uninterrupted. So theives and homeless enjoy.

this is the worst storage facility I have ever had the misfortune of using. all of my things got mold 4 months into storing them from water leaking through the roof. the parking set up is either totally full or your car gets boxed in while drivers cannot be located. there arent enough carts. you can only access this place til 6 on weekdays and 5 on weekends which is impossible when you work 9-5. my rent has raised $75 in one year while the hours have been cut back. There are random houseless people wandering around using the bathrooms and following people through the doors when they open them with a passcode. I cannot wait to deal with the expensive hassle of moving out of this complete trap.

Non 24-hour access is inconvenient, make sure you have your own cart/dolly because they only have a few, other than that it’s a storage space that’s competitively priced.

Without a doubt the worst place I’ve ever used. Unlike most places where your code gets you in after hours, this place locks you out right at 6pm weekdays and 5pm weekends. I had the misfortune of literally getting locked inside of this ridiculous excuse for a storage unit mid way through my move and unable to lock my unit downstairs because the elevators were non operational. My uhaul and trailer were locked inside for the night and phone calls to management were not returned. After 6pm you are on your own!! I came back the next day and got my stuff out, this place is absolutely absurd.

Nice storage unit but very expensive.

They have 2 carts for the entire facility and when I asked about it they said they would evict the person that took them when they found out who. But that doesn’t do anything for customer. They’re still charging the same price while inconveniencing us by not replacing the carts. That and they have the worst hours. Don’t rent here. I’m moving my stuff this weekend to a better location.

We checked out a few self-storage facilities and decided that the price and the friendly service at this Public Storage facility was the best. It’s always clean and the staff are always very helpful.

The one dollar for the first month is a scam. Other than that everything is really nice. Good service and clean spaces.

Elevator to second floor doesn't work and hasn't worked for over a year, yet they advertise there is Elevators. There was no carts on the second floor either. If I could I would give this public storage a 0.

It's nice to have a clean secure storage space on Columbia. Easy access to the interstate. Temperature controlled. Freight elevators with coded entrance and on site security make this my favorite place to store my off season tools gear.

When I moved in the original unit was smaller than advertised. Be sure to measure when you lease. After complaining they moved me to an actual 10x10. Few Months later they increase rent by 39%. The facility and staff are kind but do not provide great leasing services.

I just got finished getting my unit, Jeremy was the employee on site who was helping me. Not only did he help me find a unit that was over I guess I should say under half of what I was going to initially pay so he saved me like $100, he also gave me a lot of great info! He was funny, very personable and overall made my experience very simple, easy and pleasant! He mentioned he was still new to this location but I say give this man a raise! He’s awesome and as a representative of Public Storage, management should be proud they have such an awesome guy working here! Thank you Jeremy, I appreciate you!

Super safe and secure building! Renting was as easy as reserving online and picking up my key in person, though they have completely online check in if you'd prefer. Jacob was super sweet and treated me like family, which is super hard to find!
