I tried yesterday to reserve/rent a unit online but the website was giving me some trouble, so I decided to just head into the office to get it done in person. Patrick was incredibly helpful and got my unit all squared away in less than 10 minutes or so! This morning I got a follow up call from Megan about my wonky reservation, just to make sure that it all got squared away. I really appreciate how thorough this staff is, they're all very kind and it is apparent that they care about their customers. Glad I chose this location!

It's a storage facility. They have one person on-site during hours of operation, but there's not usually any reason to interact with them. Like most storage facilities, typical usage has little to no interaction with staff, so there's a difficulty when it comes to determining the rating of such a location . . .

I've been at this location for several years and I've had quite a few experiences that were not good, issues with the garage door not opening, issues with the elevator not working, not enough rolling carts. the whole building was shut down for like a month at one point, I couldn't have access to my things, no emails, no warning no reimbursements. The space rent keeps going up and the place also inconveniently closes at closes at 6:00 p.m.

So this five stars is absolutely and only for Megan the manager there at the public storage unit that we have off Albina... My wife and I definitely agree on one thing and that one thing is Megan being the only reason why we are absolutely even there anymore whatsoever if it wasn't for her unique management technique....and the better she makes all the hassles the company throws at us every month... Also as long as Megan's there we stay there if she somehow doesn't work at that job site anymore then we'll try to transfer the one she's at and if we can't do that then we're done with public storage that goes to show how one employee can be greater than the company itself in our eyes anyways...Megan definitely deserves the best from her bosses and at least a raise or 2 of recognition so she can feel financially appriciated

I have to use the storage unit often for professional reasons and I’m there for long amounts of time and frequently! Megan in particular is always incredibly helpful with a positive attitude and goes out of her way to check on me during the long-hauls! It’s clean and well managed, and I would certainly recommend.

If I could give Negative Starts I would. I've used a lot of storage facilities over the past 20 years and all over the country. This is the worst one I've ever used. You can never access your unit and if any problems arise there's never anyone to assist, no one in the office unless it's smack in the middle of banker's hours. Aside from the different hours that were posted on the website, which made moving my things in a huge hassle, they called me the day before I left the state for a long trip to tell me my unit was affected by a construction project they had. They had already removed my lock ( the one with my working key) and I would need to call them before coming down to access my unit next time to pick up a key for their replacement lock they put on. They claimed they had already called all the units affected by it to give notice but 100% no one had contacted me at all. I couldn't pick up a key the day before my trip so would do so when I got back. Comes time to access my unit, I called and had to leave a message to say I was coming, leave the only time I can make it during the work day, and get there at 9:05 am. The office is totally dark and empty. A woman comes out and says their office hours don't start until 9:30 and she has keys to an office around back but not the front office and she can't give me the key to my unit so come back later. This storage facility has terrible service, and such limited access as to make it completely useless. Huge mistake picking this place. *** BTW - within about a week of me leaving this honest review, they raised the price of my storage by 40%. This place is literally the worst. DO NOT RENT HERE.

The person working here was really so sweet and went out of her way to help me, which was very appreciated, so nothing but stars for her. However the company itself and its needlessly convoluted processes and policies drive me nuts. A never ending headache of the price of my unit just constantly changing for no reason and by a significant amount. The price for identical units being completely different depending on whether you look online or come into the location, etc. I would not recommend getting into bed with this company if you have any other options. You will be frustrated.

This is overall a great standard storage place. However, If you are looking for a place that is open late, don't go here. The pm time is rigid and strict. Super busy on the weekends and not many push carts available (4 total), good luck! clean and well kept. The office folks are nice and polite, that's a plus!

Idk how y'all have had good experiences when all I've gotten here is my unit broken into and wasn't notified for 3 days while it remained open.. constantly charging more than what was agreed on when we signed up and the manager is way out of line on many issues according to public storages own policies..

Super easy experience I was able to do on the app and never had to talk to anyone. When I did talk to employees by choice they were all super nice! The space is secure and nice and cool!

Was helping a friend who was moving got there at 535pm with a small uhaul, office lady with longer dark hair walked out, clapped her hands and said, "what time do we close?" My husband said "I don't know I am helping a friend, the lady proceeded to say, "well we close at 6PM and the gates and doors will start locking, so you will not have anytime to unload." She turned around and walked away, then she said "oh who's name is on the unit?" My friend got out and spoke with her stating she just rented the unit earlier that day, lady said no exceptions. My friend asked if we could park the truck since it was full in the parking lot and she pops off "we aren't responsible for anything that happens." This woman was rude and very sarcastic, spoke down to my husband like he was 4 yrs old. This lady should not be representing your company, no customer service skills at all.

I have used close to 10 different storage units around Portland, and this is the best storage facility I have used. New, clean, air conditioned and convenient. Megan is delightful, runs a tight ship, is smart and very service oriented. She always greets me, knows my name and is very personable and considerate. One day in January, I left the facility forgetting to lock one of my units. She called me to tell me she put a temporary lock on it to insure security. Last week when I pulled in she was mopping the big floor where the trucks unload.

Fantastic no contact experience. Everything was ready for me with the lock waiting inside my unit. They even offer renters insurance making it very convenient. My favorite part is the friendly customer service and the fact you can use an app to open the gate. I prefer the app, because the gate code is long and I’m not good with numbers. I would highly recommend Public Storage. Oh not to mention, the units are heated, huge bonus! Thank you for providing me with a space during my move.

Great service everyone I interacted with was knowledgeable and friendly. I was able to call them in the morning and load all my stuff later that afternoon. Also their rates were much lower than I thought it would be. Fantastic service.

Rent a unit here if you want to be insulted and robbed of your stored items! The woman who works here goes by the name Meegun and she is just awful. She is combative, mean, and even hostile to paying customers. Meegun admitted that she makes up rules on the fly, and that those rules depend on just the appearance of the customer that she's harassing and insulting at the time! What's even worse though, is the policy she has of not checking the property before locking up for the day! That means if you aren't out of there before Meegun leaves (at least 5 minutes before the posted closing time), she'll lock you in and you'll have to call the after hours number or the fire department so they can let you out! This negligent practice apparently means that people hide out until closing time just so they can break into other people's units! There's a lot more that could be said, but unfortunately, it's now a matter for the courts. Shameful, 0 stars!

Just moved to Portland and got the warmest of welcomes from Alan at Albina Public Storage! He was so friendly and helpful, and even kept the place open late for me and my movers. While I was there I noticed that he was just as friendly and patient with all of the other customers. What a great first impression of our new city! The premises were also very clean, and the building itself a little futuristic? Felt safe in the area, especially being new and out at night. Loved my experience!

I have had a storage unit here for a little bit well around a year maybe more and always had sectionally good Help from the staff great security someone tried breaking into the front doors not too long ago and wasn't able to get past the second set of security doors which was nice cuz they weren't able to access any of the storage units they've made it easy to switch from one unit to the next if that ever is something you need to do and I would recommend this storage location over all the rest

DO NOT RENT HERE!!!! In all my life I’ve never had such consistently awful experiences with any business. I had a huge ridiculous ordeal just trying to move to a different unit this past winter, that included a totally bizarre power trip by the straight-up MEAN manager, who yelled at me for asking for the price I saw advertised online, and later made one of my employees cry. Their pricing is shady at best, they don’t honor the rates they advertise ; I was promised a rate by customer service that’s $50/month lower than what I pay; I was promised 24-hour access which isn’t real. When we had such an ordeal with them in the winter we wanted to move out, but the garage doors to the facility were broken for two months, and we had a piece of equipment too large to fit out the regular door. The icing on the cake is that myself and two other customers just got locked inside the building at 5:02 pm (they close at 5:00). The staff apparently left at 5:00 on the nose even though they saw us in the garage area; we all called customer service and they wouldn’t let us back into the area with the units to lock our units, so we have to leave them unlocked overnight and hope for the best. The person on the phone yelled at us for being on site after hours while we were locked in. There have been all kinds of other merely annoying things, like making appointments they have no record of, a TOTAL disconnect between company customer service and the on-site reality, etc. It’s incredibly frustrating.

Stephanie was super kind and helpful. She answered all my questions, showed me around, and helped me get situated. Couple notes: -The company requires you use a cylinder keylock that fits in their doors. You can put your own lock door for double safety, but you will still need to utilize that cylinder key lock (their company policy). So you will either have to buy one from them ($15) or find one on your own. -The company requires insurance. Theirs is an extra $15 a month until you purchase or prove you have it otherwise.

The property manager at this location is completely insane. Cut access hours in half after doors were damaged without explanation or announcement. Proceeded to raise rent even though I couldn't access my space. Moving my belongings anywhere else ASAP!

Gate was broken for ages limiting access. Hours posted on temp signs don't reflect the hours they're actually open, and the doors lock and won't open regardless of the gate being open and having a code to get in. Management dismissive of any and all complaints about it. No rats though.

Terrible customer service. Overcharged unnecessarily and the old blonde woman with glasses was aggressive when I asked her about messing up my reservation. Their loading doors are broken and there's only a normal door to bring things inside with. Did not rent a unit here and suggest nobody else does either. Go to any other location.

The manager MEGAN was super aggressive with myself and my husband when we asked why our reserved unit had been given to someone else. She was extremely rude to the other worker, a younger women who'd only been working there two weeks, who was the only good part of our visit. We did not rent a unit from this location because of MEGAN'S horrible treatment of us, her coworker, and other renters there as well. She forced us to purchase a lock from them when we had our own that was the same lock the other location used, wasting us $20. Don't use this location because MEGAN is a liar who treats everyone terribly. BOO MEGAN.

By far the worst experience in any business I've ever had. Three of us went in for a scheduled appointment - they didn't have any record of that appointment. We had email proof that we had reserved a particular unit for a specific price with a guaranteed hold - they told us it was by availability only, which completely invalidates the concept of a reservation. And best of all, the employee, who I believe was named Megan, attempted to kick two of us out, because "only the person on the rental agreement can be in the building". We didn't have a rental agreement, first of all, and second of all they were clearly trying to isolate my wife because they thought they would be easy to intimidate. She came outside and yelled something unintelligible when we left and decided to rent at a different Public Storage.

Megan at Albina is the nicest person that I've ever met, VERY professional with every customer, love her!

The best storage space ever!!(2100 N Albina Ave location) Friendly staff, clean environment and huge indoor loading zone(4 cars) and outdoor parking. Passcode or app access for opening the gate & elevator provided extra security. Highly recommended!!

This place needs to re-educate their staff on Public Storage policies or hire new knowledgeable staff. We rented a storage unit with this location, as we were shown the unit by the younger woman at the front desk whom never told us her name nor do they wear name tags at this location which was red flag number one. We asked her if it would be possible for us to deliver our 8x8 Pods container to load our items into the unit. She 100% assures us that we can deliver the Pods but can’t park inside the garage which was totally fine and understandable. She showed us a particular spot in the parking lot that we would be able to park the Pods container instead. She also told us similar situations on how others have also delivered their Pods container at this location that were a bigger size and was able to to park in that spot without any hassles, so we should be fine. This was our selling point to securing the storage unit. We paid everything upfront including two months in advance. We told her the dates we were having the Pods container delivered and picked up (11/16 - 11/17), we told her FOUR times in which she repeated the dates back to us as she was writing the dates down. On 11/15, we get a call from the older front desk associate with an extremely condescending tone telling us that we can’t have our Pods container delivered there anymore because they don’t do that there. No apologies. No alternatives. No reason at all. Just, “we don’t do that here. Ok?” We told her we confirmed multiples times with the younger front desk associate that we can, for sure, deliver our Pods container there and that it will be delivered tomorrow, we weren’t able to switch the dates now with Pods considering it’s the day before. Her response was “Well, we just don’t do that here. Ok?” and hung up. She only was she rude and condescending but she was also not truthful and forthcoming. She lied to us saying she has 12/16 for the date of the Pods delivery instead of 11/16 yet she calls us the day before the actual delivery date we provided to them and not any date later. At this point, we wanted to cancel our storage unit with them for multiple reasons given above. Within two hours after her phone call we found a better storage facility in the Pearl District with much more pleasant and informative staff that this Public storage could be trained by on how to handle customers. After we secured a new storage unit at another location, that’s not a Public Storage facility. We went in-person to cancel and return the lock at this location here. Upon arriving, the older woman that’s a front desk associate open the door for us and asked why we are here? We told her we have a unit here, we spoke with her about two hours ago about the sudden change with the Pods and would like to cancel. Her response was, “Oh yeah. You.” Again, she’s rude and very condescending. The whole conversation during the cancellation of our unit, she was dismissive and rude. No explanation given to us on why the sudden change with no longer able to have the pods there, absolutely NO APOLOGY, no reason at all even when we tried she asked she didn’t seem like she had a verifiable reason. Glad we found a better storage unit within hours after she called us. Much happier with our choice so it worked out in the end.

Closes way to early.

We rented a unit here for a few months. When we had a national delivery company to pick up our home goods, the lady in the office threatened us and the moving crew because they parked their vehicle in the loading dock. She berated us and the moving crew members - who were super professional - and told the driver to move their truck to the back of the property - which is several hundred feet from the building. She was super abusive and went back and forth to threaten us. Obviously, she did not have any case as the driver of the moving truck even told her to call the cops.... Of course, she did not... She then threatened to tell us that she will black list us and the moving company... She even went after my wife and harassed her several times when I left the property for about 15 minutes. Of course, when I let her know that I know the laws as applied to this, she huffed and puffed and left us alone for an hour or so and then went after the moving crew and my wife again after I left the property. So, for those who are thinking about renting a unit at this facility, be aware.... BTW - she started to spill out nonsense about liability, homeless people etc... We just ignore her. What a petty and egoistic person. I will also write formally to their corporate office so that they can look into this. There is no doubt that there is racism involved here as well. This is a revised review for the facility - After my review and a letter to the CEO of the company, a regional director called us within one day and apologized sincerely for the situation. He was very professional and advised us that he will take action accordingly. While we did not expect anything in return - except for improving their personnel behavior & performance, the gentleman offered to refund all of our payments for the entire rental period. This is the type of service performance level that will enable Public Storage to improve.

Nice, clean, new storage facility with really good rates! The woman who helped us at the counter was super friendly and we were able to get everything set up without stress in 15-20 minutes tops. Garage access and elevators made for an easy and safe move-in process. Definitely one of the better storage facilities in the area.

This place is clean and organized. They also close at 6 which I feel is to early for later workers and the elevators don't always work, 🙄.

Oh my gosh this facility is so clean! Friendly staff ! The Garage doors and so quick. Nice indoor facility. Sometimes gets busy but with some patience and understand the traffic and people move with ease in the ample space of the garage bays and elevators. The staff is so helpful with all aspects from coordinating your move in to providing carts, keeping the place clean and running smoothly. Heck I might add another unit and move more stuff over here. Other than the Access/entrance issue (spoiler alert: your device MUST have NFC capabilities!), they are a great place rent from! The online rental and move-in was easy peasy (so easy, a blonde did it lol)! As well, there's an option for auto-pay and competitive prices *even after the obligatory rate increase!

Went in to get a storage spot and asked two questions and immediately was looked like I committed some terrible act. So weird. This type of unprofessionalism ruins business reputation and results in the loss of customers.

The help and customer service we received when setting up our locker was OUTSTANDING! Maegan was Amazing, knowledgeable and fast. She was very welcoming and guided us through the process, the tour and procedure clearly and in the most friendly and gracious manner! Thank you Maegan!!!!!

On 2/28 hours before closing time I was carrying stuff up to my storage unit when a male worker started questioning me on how long I had been in the facility. He was rude in tone and agitated with my presence. I felt uncomfortable and rushed to say the least. Now I understand there is a homeless population who frequently invades the storage facility but I am not from that group. I am a paying customer who should be able to come and go as I please as long as it's within posted business hours. I was alone, not bothering anyone (so I thought) and have been trying to clear out a 4 bedroom house on my own. As one can imagine this is not an easy task. Besides the invasion by homeless people, there is also a large group of bystanders who everyday in the early hours, fly drones inside and outside of the building causing limited access, if you can get inside at all. I spoke to one man who said that he was not a customer. Since when has the staging area become a play area and how did these people gain access inside? Maybe that's where the concern should be focused instead of towards customers who are paying to utilize this facility. Other then that experience the unit was easy to rent and the app is user friendly. Staff other then the man who I encountered that day have been helpful for the most part.

This place is clean, safe, secure and surprisingly accessible on a quiet dead end street with ample parking. The two wonderful ladies working there were knowledgeable and personable and patiently answered any and all questions I had with a smile; plus I got chocolate! All this for a little more than half the cost of my last storage place. Effing five stars so far. If you're looking to offload some boxes to keep your hoarding tendencies a secret or maybe just hide the evidence of an overzealous shopping spree or two, I highly recommend this place.

I'm already in the process of transferring my belongings to this location ... It's cheaper than where I'm at currently and the awesome staff is helpful and informative as well any time I'm here to use my unit the staff are attentive and if I'm looking around for help or having issues they are on top of it and take care of any problems without any attitude or complaints... Unlike my old storage it's night and day opposite. Megan is amazing we are lucky to have her here taking care of business she is alert and is the entire reason for our transfer to this location instead because we have had nothing but negative from our storage units and it makes a huge difference thank you for all you do keep up the awesome work

Public storage on albina st, the customer service rep Megan is a awesome person and her customer service skills is very professional. Thank you for making my business here comfortable and home welcoming for temporary adjustments. I want to say she should be moved up in the company for her patients and understanding people situations, great at answering questions, direct and firm about what's need to take place overall a great person. Careful with this one, limited access hours could make this a disaster for big moves. Count on standing around waiting on the elevator too.

I rented a storage unit on the app, and was able to complete the reservation and move in without ever speaking to a person. Easy and convenient. The location is great, and facility was clean and spacious enough for a moving van and truck to pull in and move things without worrying about the rainy weather. When it came time to move out, I called thinking there was more I needed to do, but the friendly property manager let me know I had done everything I needed to do simply by moving out and reporting my move out date on the app.

I'm surprised this location they actually have a bay where you can pull up into and park your car and be completely out of the weather if you want to be also have carts to you so you don't have to carry everything up by hand very well lit very well maintain building. I was very well impressed whenever I was there with my friend today reasonable rates too if I ever need a storage unit I'm definitely going through them

Great place, friendly staff, awesome storage rooms. The address on the site is wrong, the facility is on the right hand side from the stop, not to the left, that would be an empty lot.
