If I could give Public Storage 0 stars I would. Huge huge rat problem! Really bad and I’ve heard it’s at a level y of their locations. So much of our stuff was ruined- 15 K or more. When I told a worker about it he said “yeah we’ve had a bad rat problem. We have been aware for a long time” Obviously if I knew this I wouldn’t have rented from them. They lied in order to get my business. There was no food in our unit. The insurance only covered $250 dollars worth of damage. Anyways if you don’t want your stuff chewed up by rats or covered with rat feces DO NOT rent at Public Storage!
Great customer service and Lisa was amazing!
After using this facility for about 8m I do not recommend them. First problem is the homeless and the trash. Then the fact only the bottom floor people have a bathroom and you have to find a staff member to access it which they run and hide constantly so they don't have to help. Then I'm trying to move out of my unit and my trucks late when he shows I load up my stuff and push what I can't off the property to be respectful (they continued to announce over the intercom I needed to leave (get that but it was very comfortable they were announcing to the homeless I was there) then I finally get my stuff and leave the area. Nothing was dirty And I didn't leave behind any trash. So they call me to leave a very unnecessary VM on my phone about how the property closes. I have never been a problem and tried to ask very little out of the staff. It was my only chance to get my stuff into my apartment because the truck owner is from out of town. I highly recommend looking into another facility to store your items.

They have rats and it has destroyed a lot of my stuff (9/11/24) it smells bad.. like pee. Have to move to a different unit soon because it's just too nasty..
The experience was amazing at this location.. Debbie was very professional and friendly.. I felt like all my questions were answered... I highly recommend this place to anybody looking to store their stuff... Thank you, Debbie, for going above and beyond... Great place and even greater customer service...

The storage prices aren't that bad but the customer service available at this site sucks there are only bathrooms available on the ground floor that can't be reached unless someone is in the office and they let you in and that's usually a miracle because if you made the mistake of thinking that there are bathrooms on every floor you would be wrong and if u don't pay an extra 50 + to what you would normally pay for any storage size then you have no access to any bathrooms or water fountain and in this heat it's just not right when I got the storage we paid a little under $100 and now I'm paying 110 with no explanation at all why plus I'm pregnant and to have to deal with the fact that there are no bathrooms available or water available unless you paid 50 or more for a unit the same size but on the ground floor is ridiculous

Pearl was an absolute blessing in helping me into my new unit. I flubbed and reserved a unit at another location, only to realize that I’d needed a climate controlled unit, which the other location didn’t offer. Extremely expensive and it has a rat and mice problem
I have had a unit at this location for the past six months. Of all the times that I’ve visited, between first renting the space and today, I’ve never seen the office open or a single worker on duty. I have almost always come during regular business hours. When I went to retrieve my things after storing them for a couple of months, there was a fair amount of rat droppings on my business furniture. No food was stored in this unit. Every time I’ve tried to enter with my passcode, the keypad would not receive some keypad entries and others would repeat/double-enter at such a frequent rate that I had to attempt passcode entry no less than 35 to 40 times on the first day.
The last time I came to the facility, the exit gate was not working. This time, the entrance was not working; despite multiple attempts at entering my access code and the machine correctly identifying me by name. One bright spot is that the keypad only messed up a couple of times. I will be hauling my stuff out of here literally as soon as possible. If I can even get in to retrieve it.

Beware.... Public Storage on 99th & Division hardly ever has staff, their gate box to get in is broken and their spaces are over priced, rat infested and not taken care of. Don't be fooled by the fresh coat of paint. Beware your items will get moldy, dirt and leaves blow in from the bottom of the doors not sealing. Absolutely the worst customer service imaginable.
Well they rented us a unit at a decent price and then after 2 months raised it from 275 to 350 a month we are getting out asap

Customer service is good from the people that work here but i’m disappointed that they don’t have carts to carry your belongings to your unit. Also, it’s cold AF during winter and fall due to the fact that they don’t have any heat.

Erin is absolutely amazing. I had quite the mess with my whole rental. I started it online. Tried to finish it but didn’t because they were going to charge me for the lock when I had my own lock. So I decided I was gonna go into the store to finish the rental. That way I wouldn’t have to pay for the lock, but at the location that I’m renting from their computer system was down. I didn’t went to the Division location where ERIN was working. I explained to her my situation and told her that I’m still trying to make it to the other location before five when they close. She jumped right in pulled up my reservation. We finished processing my rental agreement paid for it and had me on my way within 20 minutes. And during this time she provided me with very knowledgeable information about public storage. She was very professional and personable. I am so grateful for her help today.

My storage unit and several others have been broken into for the third time, it's been boarded up I can't get to my things, they make you by insurance, after reporting the break into the insurance company they promised to get back to me in a couple days, haven't heard from him in months left several messages they won't return phone calls, when you call the head office they tell you it's going to be over an hour away, why you're waiting for an hour it'll suddenly hang up on you, I'm getting a lawyer suing these people this is ridiculous.
Initially, I was routed through the Customer Service phone line 4 times. I just wanted to speak with the On-Site Manager/Customer Service Rep to talk about possibly renting a bigger unit. I was hung up on, shuffled around from rep to rep, until someone finally put me in touch with Sunny at the 9912 SE Division St, Portland OR site. Sunny went above and beyond what I expected. I thought I might need a bigger unit than the one I reserved. When I arrived with my movers, Sunny was poised to rent me a bigger unit, but the moving men were able to put my belongings into a smaller unit, that I had reserved. Sunny was personable, helpful and resourceful and highly professional. She made the whole experience into a good situation.

I don't like how you can't stay past closing time if your finishing up. It's very inconvenient.
Clean your facility, the outside storage units have had leaves and debris left on the ground so long they have turned into black goo and has been sprayed on all the back units doors.
This leaves have been there for coming on six months, and the unit doors have frankly been disgusting for at least two months.
Clean your facility.
Debbie, who helped me, was very friendly, polite as well as very knowledgeable. Those qualities are very hard to find nowadays!!
