Do not be fooled by the 5 star reviews! Moved into a unit in June. We came back to our unit for a tv to find our lock cut and our things stolen! The person who goes by Shorty is a joke and a thief! The lock (thief put new lock on) that had to be cut off was a lock from this facility with their stickers. Not to mention, just recently we had found a Facebook post on someone finding our Bible that was stolen from our storage, go to meet up to retrieve our belongings and it was another Public Storage employee that we met at the Public Storage off Tecumseh! These people are thieves! Have contacted the correct people to have this place looked into!

I originally booked a storage unit (5x10) for some of bedroom stuff, but I realized I wouldn’t have enough room upon arrival. So, in a panic, I booked another storage unit (10x10) at a different public storage because I had to return my U-Haul in less than an hour. As I was about to head out, one of the employees, Shortie, ran out asking if I had just scheduled my move out for my storage unit (the 5x10 unit). I explained my situation, and she was an absolute lifesaver. She transferred my initial storage unit to a bigger unit, canceled the new storage unit I had booked, and got a refund on the second storage unit I had booked. I cannot recommend them enough! They were absolute lifesavers!

I had to last minute find a climate controlled storage facility in Norman. I stumbled upon Public Storage and was so grateful to be met by Shortie at the front desk. She was so helpful, walked me through every step and ensured I wasn't getting more than I needed. She even took time to walk me to the unit and explain how to make the move of my stuff even easier. I am very thankful for her and appreciate her attention to detail with the space I am renting too. She wanted to make sure it was extra clean even though it looked clean enough for me. Highly recommend!

I have had a unit here for over a year. The experience has been relatively painless. I first got the unit at a really good price, but the monthly fee kept going up - especially after they went through some type of merger or acquisition. However, I talked to one of the staff, Shortie (she’s great!), and asked for and got a reduced monthly rate. I’d say that’s pretty good customer service….If I have storage needs in Norman, I’ll be using them!!

We always have to remember that the storage facilities are never full of people all over the place. That in mind it is for storage and rules are to keep things manageable. A rough day moving didn't give you a pass on following the simple rules of open n closed times. I stayed late n that's a deal breaker because it's everyone's duty to be out, tired or not it becomes a security issue of people should be all over hanging out etc and is not allowed. If someone is inside when it's closer people would see m think someone is up to no good n jeopardize everyone's stuff. This lady protected the place without regard for person n that's what security is. I think she is commendable and I'm glad I wasn't rude because the entire group of renters don't want favortism they want peace of mind n they paid for it! Thank you Shortly, my apologies.:). Our stuff is safe because of you keeping it so.

My unit smells like old urine! The smell is so strong and disgusting. If I could find somewhere else with a large climate controlled unit, I’d leave this place in a heartbeat!

I work for an out of state moving company. The staff at the public storage on 12th was so kind, and helpful. The keys was misplaced,and the lock needed to be cut off. The staff was there every step of the way to ensure the highest level of quality customer service. I highly recommend them for all of your storage needs.

Want to ruin your belongings only to get reimbursed less than 10% of the value of the items lost? Look no further! I left my belongings here in good condition and returned to them a year later to find them ruined by mice. Feces and urine everywhere. When I told the employee at the front desk, they didn't sound surprised and it sounded like this was an ongoing problem.
At first I was relieved to hear that I had the foresight to get insurance, but almost a week later insurance agent gets back to me and says they'll only pay for rodent damages up to $250 (With, of course, a $100 deductable).
I didn't even flinch at them raising my unit's rates after I first got in, but now I'm definitely wishing I'd gone with another choice. If you're reading this and actually care about what you're storing, stay away.

I had a bad experience I was charged 700 for my storage that I emptied. The lady on site charged me 500 plus 200 rent for December and my stuff was emptied November 30. Only thing left was a broken desk and trash because there was no trash bin anywhere I also told them and the lady said dont worry. Now I am left with a 700 bill.
I had believed I needed a unit so I got one but after a couple days I didn't need it. I never even got to the property at all, never accessed anything. I called and spoke with Madison who informed me there are no refunds. So I paid $51 for a lock, one time administration fee, and insurance for something I won't use. I didn't even get the lock, and that alone was $20. I definitely won't use public storage in the future because of this.

Great staff. Used climate control twice with no problems. Gated storage with code access. Can access gate 6am-10pm.

This place doesnt take partial payments and wont work with customers who are struggling finacially. I know this is a business but if you cannot work with the people in the community when they are attempting to make payments it's no company I would want to support anymore. Your supposed to care about ppl I would think. Would not recomend to anyone and will never rent from this storage again three months and they auctioned off my whole life. Freaking nuts.

The only reason they get two stars is because the prices are reasonable. I'm huge about customer service and they get a D in that department. They are nice enough but when there was a fire in the building that housed my unit, I didn't get a call from them telling me what happened for over 2 weeks after the fire. Not cool.

Was great when first started using them 5 yrs ago, but the prices keep rising each year and management staff has changed often. There are a few units on site that have homeless people living in them, so not sure about security at the place.
It is a great place to rent a storage with reasonable prices and also the lady at the frontdesk was very nice. I will definitely come again to rent a storage.

Heartless company. They refused to waive any late fees with a hospitalized family member when I called to make payment one day after the late fee was applied. The manager refused to even attempt to get it approved, stating her boss wouldn’t waive any fees no matter the situation. I understand a business has to make money too, but calling the morning after the late fee was applied and not even attempting to help is sad. Everyone is going through tough times right now, I chose to support businesses that are at least trying to help those struggling.
So friendly, got my unit secured quickly. They followed up quickly, so glad I was able to book with these guys.
