EDIT: They contacted me a week later (after I posted my review) agreeing to make accommodations. My understanding is that it's a corporate policy, not specific location based. That being said, I still have seen my rent increase twice since I moved in 14 months ago. Very unaccommodating - have raised rent by $70 in a year. I'm trying to move out and wanted to use a POD Service (to save $1,500) where they would drop it off and pick it up within 6 hours of each other. Not even leaving it there over night. They said that's absolutely unacceptable and wouldn't even work with me on a location on their facility's property (which has a parking lot in front and the POD is the size of a single car). If you want something safe, this place is fine.

My husband and I rented a 10X20 space here and it was very easy to access and convenient. When we vacated our unit, we forgot to take off the lock so public storage couldn’t tell we vacated it. Arlene was very helpful with assisting us in getting this worked out and trying to help me get a refund for the extra month I was charged after we had already vacated. Thank you Arlene!

There’s no way I could not leave a review about such a remarkable employee. No idea what she’s currently being paid, but no matter what it is I say give her a raise! This mixed bag company and facility has one bright, shining light-- that being its primary manager, Arlene. Four of the units, all outside the gate, were broken into last Sunday morning while she was on her weekly two days off. One of them was mine-- a 10'x10' unit. Neither the follow-up with the customers nor the securing of the damaged hasps on the door frames was handled well, in my humble opinion, by the person working the custodian job in Arlene's absence, nor the person who was referred to as either the BM (Business Manger, I assume) or District Manager. As a result, I had to go to the Upper Arlington Police Department myself on Monday morning to find out "the rest of the story", as Paul Harvey used to say. And, upon inspection of the jerry-rigged hasp on the door frame to my unit after the burglary, I realized that anyone with a standard screwdriver or a nut driver could easily and quickly remove the screw holding the bottom part of the hasp on the frame and gain entrance to my stuff. Child's play. When Arlene came back from her Regular Days Off and discovered what had happened, though, she conferred with me to find out if I was missing anything. Interesting enough, I wasn't, though three of my plastic storage totes had been opened. Nothing of interest to "pry and grab" robbers trying to to a quick turnaround sale to a pawn shop or whatever, I suppose, even though there WAS a $4,000+ wheelchair and accessories being stored in unit K001. Having no security video cameras, static (think game trail cameras) cameras, or motion sensors anywhere on the property, I appealed to Arlene's better sense about the stunning lack of security of my property in that unit, especially now that the week hasp now was even easier to thwart after the break-in. I told her I would, therefore, have to move if the company didn't make this right. She appealed to her manager, in turn, to move me to a unit inside the gate as well as give me a free 30 days of rent for my trouble and consternation. She came back to me and told me the DM didn't agree with her-- he refused to "make good" the bad situation. I then laid out for her Amy plan to inform the police of the developing scenario, as well as the BBB in the area, as well as write appropriately negative reviews on Google, Apple Maps, and Yelp if the DM continued to not want do "the right thing", especially since the facility did indeed have a 10x10 unit available for me within the fence. She once again pled her (my) case to her boss, this time undoubtably at some risk to her own relationship with him and her job. He relented, though, and I am now moving my goods in storage to a unit inside the fence. Also, Arlene did in fact arrange for a "complimentary" month of storage fees. Were it not for Arlene, personally, this bad situation would have gotten even worse-- for all parties, not just me. She "saved the day" through her sense of fairness to everyone. Though the burglary didn't occur on her "watch", she has fixed the problem for her loyal customer that has thrown thousands of dollars their way in the past years. Attagirl, Arlene! Instead of 1 star, you have earned your facility a 5-star rating by showing "the right stuff". --Jay

This facility is close to my home and offers adequate space for me to safely store my vintage car each winter. There's lots of options nearby and Arlene is the reason I come back year after year. She provides the highest level of customer service and seems to sincerely care about the needs of her customers. Arlene is why I come here.

Not sure if this "Arlene " is for real, I have visited this location for the past 2 days and the office says open but door is locked! I need to pay my bill ! But "Arlene" is NO WHERE TO BE FOUND?

I have rented several storage units at Public Storage over the last 20 years so have experience with many of your property managers. Most have provided good service, but over these years Arlene at the Arlington Centre location has been the very best. She has kept me advised of new units available when we needed extra space, made sure things were fixed asap, such as a bulb out, doors that required lubrication , or even getting rid of wasp nests etc. She is there when the property opens and stays until it closes, informed us if we forgot to lock the unit or left the door open. She is one of those special employees that always does things right. I feel more secure when she is on hand. You need more Arlenes at all your facilities!

UNLESS THE MANAGER LEAVES, DONT GO THERE! The gate is only open 6am-9pm EVEN IF your unit says 24 hours. If you exit after 9pm, you get a message about being there TOO late. The manager leaves PRECISELY at 6pm. A couple minutes till, I had to pee, but the door was locked. She said they are locked at 6pm. She WOULDN'T open it. My husband wanted to find something in storage so I dropped him off. He went into the unit and closed the door. A lady knocked, so he answered. She made ACCUSATIONS that were ludicrous. She didn't even identify herself as the manager until after her TIRADE. She said a neighboring renter complained that he played the TV all night. (Um, no, aside from the fact he's NEVER been there that late, the TV is buried in the back.) She said he was smoking and the neighbor's clothes smelled. (He's been there only 3 or 4 times, even if he did smoke one, the odor wouldn't have had time to waft through the sheet metal wall.) She made him REMOVE the space heater and empty gas cans. (Now she wants proof that they are gone.) After all that she called the POLICE. He couldn't leave until I picked him up. THEN she entered MY locked unit (same last name) WITHOUT permission or cause and removed items. Neither of us have has access to our things. She PASSED the buck and claimed the district manager (who lives 3 hrs away) has to be there for me to open it. CHRISTMAS is in 2 days. Everyone's PRESENTS are in storage! She REFUSED to let me in. AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

This is one of the nicest public storage facilities I've used. The units are older but Arlene, one of the propert managers helped me so much by showing me the best unit to fit my furniture. She's an absolute pleasure to do business with. She's thorough and accommodating. She knows her job and makes it an easy transition. If she's out on the property - she always leaves a note so you're not left thinking "is this place closed?" I was actually sad to say goodbye to her the day I moved the last of my stuff out. UPDATE 6/24/22: After 6 months they wanted to raise the rent $60. On 3/10/22 I asked about possibility of keeping same rate. Got a 3 month reprieve. Asked again if there was any way to keep rate affordable. Was told point blank by Arlene that if I move out they can rent the unit for more. Have at it! Found a unit at one of their competitors that is cleaner and better maintained for less than what I was paying. Moving out on 6/29. 3/10/22: Needed assistance for a billing issue and Arlene was superb. She completely understood the issue and had it fixed in less than two minutes.

Arlene has been extremely helpful in getting our upcoming move from out of state settled with a storage unit close to our new home! She has been attentive, communicative, and extremely friendly and is the reason the storage unit is as great as it is! It's in a secure and private location and provides gated secure access.
