Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 4639 Eastgate Blvd, Cincinnati, OH

Classic bait and switch. Signed up for a reduced "online price", after a few months they jacked the price up 50%. UPDATE: Company gave me a few month discount to make up for their rapid price increase. I thought this was great and they deserved recognition. 2nd UPDATE: Months later they jacked my rate up to now almost double what they originally advertised me. WORSE PART: THEY ARE STILL ADVERTISING THE LOW RATE. They offered me an $80 price, jacked it to $120, put it back to $80, Jacked it back to $120, Now jacked it up to $155. While charging me $155 they are offering new people an $80 rate while claiming standard price is $130. If standard price is $130 why am I paying over $150???? STAY CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY, THEY WILL DO NOTHING BUT KEEP RAISING YOUR RATE WHILE LURING OTHER PEOPLE IN WITH CHEAP PRICES!!!!!!

Do not recommend to anyone. Price gouging is out of control. $351.00 a month for a 10x15 unit. No on site person. No help. Bathroom is discussing. I've been slowly cleaning out the storage unit, for the past 3 weeks. There is no tishew paper in the restroom and hasn't been. I had tishew and ended up leaving 2 packs. Toilet bowl is discussing, Trash on the floor. For 3 weeks. The hallway hasn't been swept, very dusty.the elevator is broken. We got stuck on it twice or it didn't work at all. Again no person to help. check out the photos I have posted below. I do not recommend to anyone.👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎

I rented a unit less than a year ago. They have increased my rent three times so I moved out. They then said I own another month and I wasn't even there. PUBLIC STORAGE says now they are going to take legal action. I highly suggest not doing business with this outfit.

The storage unit itself is fine. It’s the price gauging that really sinks Public Storage. My 10x15 indoor unit went from around $180/ month to $365/ month in about two years. Meanwhile, the facility removed an in-person staff member and replaced her with a touch screen. When contacting customer service, they were unhelpful and clearly operating from a script designed to deflect from any honest conversation regarding lowering your rate. In other words, they cut costs and services and doubled my rent. In just 2 years. I would recommend checking out other storage facilities in the area; there are plenty within a few mile radius, and you can often find more competitive rates and more helpful customer service.

High prices and low quality service! Elevator does work half the time. Dirty bathrooms. Poor management!

If I could give no stars, I would. This place is seriously lacking in customer service. I realize it is a self-service business with no staff on site. However, they shouldn't say arrangements can be made to meet a staff member on-site. I tried for a week to set this up. The first time they didn't show up and after repeated requests over the phone to have someone call me, no one ever did. Five days ago I was promised that the district manager would call within 24 hours. In addition, the promotional rate I was given disappeared. The email confirmation showed the rate, but when I clicked to go forward with the reservation it showed the normal rate. Calls about that were a waste of time, too.

The facility is very nice. I like that it is temperature controlled. They also seem to have a bit more security than if you went to a storage place that kept your stuff outside. Every once in awhile, navigating the security doors and elevator can be a little frustrating. But we got through it. When I first got this storage unit, the rate was a little over $100 a month for a decent size unit. Now we are well over $200 a month. I think they realize your stuff is stuck and it's tough to do anything about it. So just beware that the attractive price you get in the beginning will be gone soon.

Alright so I have had my unit at this location since mid 2020, over three years now. Through an ownership change. At first it was very reasonably priced and there were always people there that were able to help should I have any questions or need to pay my bill in store. This past November my family hit a speedbump financially and we were unable to make our rent. As they do they gave us the applicable warnings and eventually leined the unit and cut our lock, this is fine, I understand that. They need to get paid. The trouble started when I stopped in to get back into my unit after paying up to a zero balance. No one works there anymore, the customer service is provided by a kiosk where an employee can Webcam chat with you. They had to take my number and now they're going to give me a call at some point to schedule an appointment to have their lock removed. So not only has my rent gone up by a significant margin, but i have zero access to my property, and they can't tell me when i will. the service they can provide me has dropped off 100%. What if there were an emergency? What type of greed does a company need to have to replace their staff with a webcam kiosk? When I called to ask about being prorated for the days since I paid my bill that they've had me locked away from my property and I was given another less than definite timeline to be contacted by yet another employee to discuss maybe being reimbursed that money. Listen this used to be a normal business, now it's like some weird version of the twilight zone where human beings are attempting to help me from hundreds of miles away via a 5 inch screen. If you don't appreciate self service phone calls or automated assistance systems I suggest you stay FAR away from public storage right now, apparently they're all going this way. When I told them I'm having a hard time reconciling the rising cost of rent with the complete lack of customer service in the building the lady literally responded with "well it says in your leasing agreement that rent can raise at any point for any reason" yes but typically the cost remains related to the service you provide it's completely opposite here. Price continually rises while value diminishes dramatically in one quick stupid move by corporate. Anyone know a storage company in the area with on site staff? Would gladly pay a higher rate to not have to talk to a screen when I have an issue, seeking to move in immediately. 2 stars because I like how clean the unit is kept (was kept?) Idk how that works anymore, maybe a Roomba? I just read other reviews and omg all of the positive reviews mention employees by name, how can you see that and still pull the trigger on a kiosk based model?!?

Don't come here they'll just raise your rent after a month

Was an amazing experience love the video of what would fit in the space because I honestly didn’t know how big I needed. I love the interactive call and the live help was so helpful and made it an easy process ❤️❤️❤️

Really like the building, great customer service

I rented a 10x20 unit shortly after Covid broke out in 2020 when the original company was Cubesmart. They were wonderful! Then Public Storage bought out my rental space from Cubesmart a little over a year ago. Since Public Storage has owned my unit I have seen my cost of my unit go up by $128. That $128 increase is over the last 9 months. Two, yes two $60+ price increases in nine months. What a ridiculous way of taking care of your clients who have had personal issues and life changing situations. Public Storage takes full advantage of people. I met many people who have recently moved out of their units all for the same reason. I’m told they only raise you once a year. I have met a lady who was hit 3x on 12 months, myself was 2x in 9 months. All at $60+ increases. Will never ever use this company again. When I complained k was told a 10x20 unit is $336 on todays market. When you speak with other storage units their jaws drop when I tell them that. Just got me the same size unit elsewhere for $128.00 for 6 months then it will be $170.00 and no higher after that I’m told. Don’t use these people!

Had a rocky start with a guy on the phone there, felt like I was keeping him from something with my call :( next time I had questions, a woman helped me & totally redeemed their integrity.
