I have been to other storage units in various places. I rate the facility with a nine. It is clean and the units have enough space. The staff are courteous and helpful. I only wish they had another bathroom for a large facility. Thank you.
The storage changed the hours of operation from(6am to 10pm) to (9am to 6pm) how is that posible? I work until 7 pm l will not be able to take my stuff out even. What happen with the contract that we sign? They do wherever they want a friend of mine has a unit also there and they opened his unit by mistake without any responsibility. Who is the district manager? Because the storage manager is awful. Legally is a lot things going on there. To all the tenant please be careful and move your stuff ASAP. Prices increase 25% after the third month without any notification. Unbelievable.
In all my life, I’ve never received better customer service than with Ali. Ali was incredibly kind, understanding, and treated us like a family. I have never felt more comfortable and welcomed while using any other service. Where many others would’ve reached their limit, Ali went above and beyond to ensure we had the right unit & pricing, constantly moving back and forth from the front desk to the unit to assist us with whatever problem we were facing while also helping other customers. From now on, I’ll only be using this public storage, and recommending all my friends do the same. Truly the patience of a saint- thank you so much for all your help, Ali! :)

I moved into this Public Storage on W 47th St earlier this year because I was being held hostage by another storage company that had upped my rates beyond what is remotely reasonable. I'm so glad I made the switch because this facility has been great, the rates are more amenable, and the customer service has been terrific.

(I Would Never Recommend Public Storage to Anybody)
I Buy Auctions, and was given 48 hours to clear a unit out. This one was very small maybe containing 4 or 5 items in it. They Complained to the Auction Company and Had my Account Suspended, well that's not fair! on paper give me 48 hours but after buying the unit given me 24 hours, when i went in the lady was very redundant and keep repeating herself about something irrelevant to my question, was why was i reported saying i did not clean the unit out in time. In order for the Auction company to suspend you then the Public Storage would of had to complain that i violated the rules and did not clean the unit out in time.
FYI: I would never even store my stuff at a place that fabricates stuff about their customers & cant resolve a customer concern and when i made a complaint because my Auction Buying was Suspended even the District Manager did Not get Back to Me at All. If i did not have proof, my Auction Account would of still be suspended.

My unit was much smaller than I had requested/was expecting and they were able to find me a new unit the same day and waived the transfer fee. The facility is very clean and well air conditioned and it’s easy to unload with the loading dock

They're still trying to charge me rent in June 2024, even though I gave notice that I was moving out by May 31st and followed the move out instructions (which includes taking the lock). I was told that I'm being charged because there's a lock on the unit I had moved out of that doesn't match any of Public Storage's keys.
I literally have the lock and key from moving out with me. However, I was told that the only way to clear my account is to come in with it. I'm not willing to make the 2-hour trip just because Public Storage is unwilling to break the lock that is supposedly on the unit I vacated.

Yes, Public Storage W 47th St is well maintained and immaculately clean, BUT what makes the difference and will keep my business there is the manager Asia, and the service I received from her! I recently had some concerns regarding my relatively new account. Asia worked tirelessly to resolve my issues in a way that were fair and accommodating. Excellent follow through and a true customer advocate. Bravo Asia (and Public Storage for having an employee like her)!

In less than two years of renting from this location, the monthly rent for my 30 sq foot storage unit increased by 77%, to $193 per month.
I now pay more-- per sq foot-- for this tiny, damp, moldy, subterranean dungeon than I do for my Hell's Kitchen 1 BR apartment, I kid you not. And I live in the penthouse.
What kind of twisted company lures you in with an affordable rate, and one they have your possessions, raises the rates by SEVENTY SEVEN PERCENT over the course of less than two years?

I went there to rent a small warehouse. I met with Loyd and Mars. They provided me with all the explanations and details regarding how to rent. Loyd took me to the place I rented. He explained to me how to use the door lock and how to enter the building using the place’s phone application. Friendly customer service. The prices are very reasonable, the place is clean, and it has cameras and is excellently protected. I would definitely recommend it

I hâte this place because they charge me a storage I am not using and I closed out account in January but they fraudulently took out my account I did not authorized. Now I have contact my bank to report what they did.

The staff working at this location is really helpful and clears all the doubts and gives all the information during moving in. They stole all of my stuff!! Though they said this is because of some internal reason and they throw all of my stuff into the trash bin. There are some gold, jewllery , nick lace... almost 30000 dollars!!!! I don't believe they just throw it but not touch it or stole it unless they give me the record of the monitor. Public Storage!!!!

Arrived at 9:30a the opening hours. Desi arrived at 9:34 and snapped at me for being on time. Telling me just bc the hours say 9:30 doesn’t mean they expect ppl to arrive then. So I told her she should tell corporate to adjust the hours. She huffs and puffs at me telling me bc I’m on time she can’t take off her coat, use bathroom or eat her breakfast.
Insanely unprofessional.
Desi- here’s an idea: arrive early so you can handle your personal needs BEFORE your job starts.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Desi, the property manager at Public Storage Facility located in West 47th and I have to say that her service exceeded my expectations. Desi was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and patient with me as I navigated the process of finding the right storage unit for my needs. She took the time to explain all of my options and answered all of my questions in a way that was easy to understand.
Not only was Desi helpful during the initial process, but she also went above and beyond to make sure that I had a positive experience throughout my time at Public Storage. Whenever I had a question or concern, Desi was always available to help and did so in a timely manner. She even provided me with helpful tips on how to best organize my belongings. Her attention to detail and friendly demeanor truly made a difference in my experience.
Overall, I highly recommend Public Storage and specifically Desi for her exceptional customer service. If you're in need of a storage unit, be sure to visit this location and ask for her. You won't be disappointed! Thanks again, Desi. You’re the best!

In general the staff, are amazing and the storage good.
Some suggestions
Store: The installation are new and clean, the heat in the third floor is extremely high, to hot inside. The store should have more hours of operations usually people work 8am to 5-6pm. The store open 9:30am and close at 6pm there is not time to come after work, mostly storages close at 8pm and have more staff available.
Staff: They are friendly and kind. Only one suggestion “don’t yell the clients, be a little more polite” for costumer service is important to be supportive and empathize with the clients. But those girls has pant! More than some men that I know.. congrats girls!!! Good job.
Asia was a tremendous help. When you come to this location ask for Asia. Excellent customer service skills.
If you're looking for storage I will recommend you coming to this location. Asia was amazing she assisted me and gave me the best experience. Desi and Tianna also were so kind and welcoming. Great customer service from all 3 ladies.
Very positive experience here. Employees are great with a very helpful attitude. The prices are great for a Manhattan location.
That said, hours are terrible. If you work a 9-5 job, you will only be able to access your unit on weekends. They close at 6 PM. Also closed most holidays. Three stars for the hours, otherwise 5.
Tianna was really helpful!! She helped our company get the right storage unit and it’s great. She was really nice and gave us great information. She never left out a detail. I appreciate her help a lot!!
Asia, Alexis, and Tianna were amazing! Asia, Branch Manager, was very professional and willing to invest additional time at closing to search for a more accommodating unit. The last minute upgrade was greatly appreciated! If ever in need of temporary storage for either personal, or business goods, look no further than Public Storage Mid-town. Great team!

Best storage experience to date! Desi was awesome and made the process of signing up quick and seamless. The whole facility is spotlessly clean, tons of carts available and parking directly next to the elevators. On top of that we unexpectedly got our first month free. Highly recommend!

I Needed to make changes to unit due to pricing. left message over a weekend and first thing monday morning the manager Desi called me back asap. Desi was supper helpful. provided options and a solution to my issues. Desi is a model employee and if anyone has a issue at this location know that there is someone who cares about the customer. well done
I went to this Public Storage location to take a tour of the space there and to see what shipping and packaging supplies they had.
Tianna and Desi really helped me out a great deal! They were both welcoming and are both fantastic human beings.
They asked me the appropriate questions to help me figure out how much space I needed for the future.
Desi gave me a tour and showed me one of the unused units and really helped me visualize how much of my stuff I could reasonably fit into the unit. She also did a great job explaining the price with the accompanying size option that she presented to me. She was friendly, conversational, and professional.
11/10 for the team here at Public Storage!

I recently moved to NYC and I must say that Public Storage has made my transition to the Big Apple flawless. The only thing that tops the great unit prices is the customer service. Desi, Alexis & Asia made the sign up process quick and easy. They also make me feel at home every time I come by. I will go as far as to say they are the three nicest people I have met in all of NYC! If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

Their hours are more limited than other Brooklyn storage places. They only open at 9:30am, which is later than movers usually want to start, and of course not a time when working people can easily access. And one time in the year I rented, they shut off all access for days without warning.

What a spot, so clean, brand new. And it is run so well. You can tell the manager Taino takes pride in his work and the buisness. He treated my brother and I so well and made the process so smooth. Moving and storing, especially the first load-in can be its on pain in the butt. Taino and his team made it smoother than Roberto Colongne behind the back flip to first for the third out as he walks to the dugout.
So glad we rented here, highly recomend this location if you value great friendly service and convience. Couldnt be happier, Id give 10 stars if I could!
