I’m reaching out because I’m receiving monthly increases in the rental fee:
July: 352.00
August: 446.00
September: 487.00
What is happening? This is far off from the amount I signed for. It’s unacceptable to receive monthly increases.
Besides, the fee for new customers is way lower than that. I see a 10x20 unit for 290.00. I sent an email and didn't get a solution. I will cancel the contract. I’m tired.

The staff and systems are very unprofessional. The carts are always Locked and no one is ever on site. I tried to return the lock issued with the unit before the 30 days. Every time I tried their system was down or the person at the facility couldn't help me. It felt like a scam. I had them make a note in my account after the 2nd attempt. The manager was never available , the staff were not on site or couldn't solve the issue without said manager. I even had a friend try to return the lock and again system down. This went on past the 30days and now they refused to refund me for the lock I never needed. Saying again "System won't let me, nothing we can do". One staff named Anissa laughed at me and said "she aint got time for this". Telling another customer, "I just got off break and this is what I have to deal with". I called corporate while in the store. Anissa asked me hang up on them after her manager finally called back. I was finally able to resolve the issue. However both the staff and I were stressed over this because of poor systems and even worse customer service practices. Sheesh.
Renovated facility, has indoor parking, overall very good condition. Location manager Mercedes was courteous and patient.

I’ve had a unit at this location for years and have dealt with many of the employees there. I must say the AJ has by far been the most helpful person I’ve interacted at this location. Very polite and helpful and does a follow up to make sure that what I need is taken care of. Great establishment
Steer clear of Public storage. At least for the New Rochelle location my "reservation" was not honored. When I attempted to complete my online reservation the unit I had reserved was miraculously gone. Of course I had the option to use a different unit, all the choices which were more expensive , even for a smaller unit. When I spoke to customer service she told me that if someone reserves in person then your unit could be given away, despite the fact that they advertise to hold now, and no need to pay until check-in. This is also after speaking to the property manage on the phone, telling her I would be completing the reservation over the weekend. Very reminiscent of a Seinfeld episode. They in know way attempted to rectify the situation or make it right. Fasle advertising.

Mercedes is a Gem! I went to another storage place which I won't name and I was so overwhelmed I just left. When I walked into Public storage Mercedes made me feel so comfortable and most importantly was very knowledgeable. Pricing is good everything was easy to navigate it's a no brainer.

Iakua is someone u and I can count on when all else fail. I remember when I received my storage and had my own Lock on it. I thought I did the right thing. But the next day after I move my stuff in I received a phone call from Iakua, letting me know that I did not properly lock my storage correctly. I said ooh no can u lock it she said she is unable too but will keep and I out for it until I reach there. I didn't reach up there until the following week because of work hrs. I asked her did a customer tell her my storage door was open. She said no I do my rounds every 1/2 hour or so and it wasn't open she said it's just the lock was not properly secured. and I noticed it but don't worry no one would get on her watch.. I chuckled. The moral of my story is that. I rate her 10 ⭐'s 100 💯 💯 percent of class a customer service. This is why I I love public storage because of Iakua. You need more honest workers like her. Great doing business and you should not take away from the person character itself. Although we all make mistakes She has a good heart n I thank you guys I could trust her with my belongings. . A week later on top of that. Thanks Iakua

Iakua has made my experience with public storage beyond AMAZING ! I came in very uncertain about what size I needed. She sprung right into action and asked what I was storing she even made sure I understood it was just to give me the proper and best size for my needs! She even multitasked and unlocked carts for other customers! She smiled the entire time. I know I was hassling her but she assured me she’s here for me and my needs! With all her efforts of overcoming certain concerns and objections I had, this woman deserves a raise because shes the definition of hard working and dedication

Iakua has been a great help i came in trying to get a unit and she assisted me and then I saw a public storage sticker so I panicked . She went upstairs with me and verified that that is my lock and they just put a sticker on it. She's a great hire. Hooray Iakua!
Iakua is amazing! Public storage should be tremendously ecstatic for hiring her! I came in frantic about not knowing what size to need and Iakua ensured me that i don’t have to be frantic and she has my best interest. She walked me outside and showed me how to access the property which is through a passcode designed just for each customer. She let me know that security is one of their main focuses. She then had me go upstairs with her and showed me two units she felt would take care of my needs and she was 100% right. She held the door open for me which most employees don’t they rush in and expect me to be right behind them. She maintained a positive attitude throughout our whole ordeal on top of a beautiful smile. She gave me the direct phone number to the store so I dont have to call the 800 number. This girl here is amazing! She deserves a raise or promotion for her expertise and knowledge that she shares! You go Iakua!!!!!!!

Today (5/14/23) I went to get a storage unit from Public Storage on 5th Avenue in New Rochelle. I met very welcoming young lady who was working at the desk at the time. This young lady was the epitome of grace and could not be more welcoming and helpful. She spent time explaining the process and made sure that I understood each document that I signed. I would give this employee 10/10 for executing the entire process.
Moved my storage unit to the New Rochelle Location and I definitely made the right choice. Michelle and the rest of the staff are really great to their customers. I haven't had any issues with the space and the location is next to a beautiful park.

I actually had a great experience with the staff there. They were incredibly helpful. I foolishly lost the keys to my lock and needed help breaking my lock off. Manny who works there was such a gem. He helped me through the whole process. I didn't have the strength to break it myself. Thankfully Manny and Melissa were there to help me through the whole thing. They made the process so seamless. Moving back into college is an ordeal by itself. Having to pick up half my room at a storage center just adds insult to injury. Luckily, my mom and I chose to store my stuff at Public Storage in New Rochelle. Along with climate controlled units that are easy to access, they have Craig, which many places do not. Craig, managing the Public Storage location at the time, went out of his way to help me vacate my unit, instead of going on his lunch on time. Craig was personable, holding a nice conversation with me about my college experiences, and improve my times of moving back into college 10 times over!
5 stars for Craig who greeted us as we entered, showed us our options, gave us useful information on the unit, how the navigate around as well as just great friendly banter. He even made sure our unit was in great condition before move in. Michelle helped us with the paper work and was a superstar that broke all the mundane rules and terms down into simple to understand language. Could not have been happier with my visit in to the office today. Keep up the good work guys.

Lazy and incompetent staff, horrible facility access with large trucks constantly blocking off the entrances, no carts, broken elevators, broken garage doors etc...etc... I have been a disgruntled customer since 2020. I have been stuck here because I am storing a large number of items that need to be liquidated and are tough to move. At month's end, I will be hiring movers to get this stuff out as I can no longer tolerate it. I am headed to Safeguard on the same block. I stored some items there and my experience was wonderful.
As of right now, I have been, yet again, charged for a unit that I vacated. I shifted to a smaller unit after slowly moving stuff out. Given that they auto-charged to a checking account, I now have to wait for the check in the mail to be reimbursed. Who knows when that will arrive? They claim that they were too short staffed to see that the unit was empty with the rolling door left open. I cannot get out of this place sooner.
The people leaving positive reviews are probably being incentivized through discounts being offered. Since I am an older customer who began storing during the pandemic, I am not compromised so I can be honest.

My fiancé was trying to call all the last 2 weeks to handle terminating his storage unit & get info for vacating.
He had vacated except for 1 piece of furniture that needed a moving truck to get out.
No one was answering the phones or returning his voicemails.
He came on the 2nd, today, and was told he has to pay the entire month of July.
So he vacates July 2nd, and still has to pay for that entire month.
I understand the technical reasoning behind the employee Isaiah saying that we have a balance to pay.
But the fact that the business wasn’t responding to their clients & not answering the phones to give out the necessary info about terminating the billing agreement, that would make it reasonable for the manager to waive the month of July.
Especially when the client financially is unable to pay that penalty month.
Isaiah said he’s the manager of the business but he did not carry himself as a manager & had zero interest in taking authority for the situation. He didn’t try to call his district manager despite me asking for him to. He didn’t call the billing company on our behalf despite me asking for his help in doing so. He just said he couldn’t help. (He didn’t want to help).
Basically- if you’re going to store your stuff there; just pay attention to the fine print.
No issue with the units themselves and the gentleman was polite- but they’re very bureaucratic & unwilling to care about their clients.

Overpriced increased rates before first year was out. Forced me to buy insurance and padlock from them. Dig a hole and bury it in your backyard before you go here.
