These guys are master manipulators and scammers. They routinely make offers and agreements and then renege. Don't make the mistake of even talking to them. Whatever they say, it's not real or true. I am specifically talking about the location on saw mill River road in yonkers.

I have been customer at Public Storage for a long time. I have met and been assisted by the staff there who have always been courteous and helpful. In particular, I have had the good fortune to regularly be assisted by NAY, who always greets with a smile and a willingness to help!! You are fortunate to have her as your employee. She always provides good information when I have a question, processes my payments promptly and just recently assisted me with a charge that she was able request a reduction for me. I give this review 5 stars!!

Nay told me to use my access code to enter the facility to “verify” my stuff wasn’t there, which prompt corporate to believe i was still there while they charged me another month. Nay gives extreme amount of attitude and lacks any communication skills. I had previously removed everything but was told by Nay to use my access code. Shady and disgusting attitude doesn’t yet describe Nay. AVOID AT ALL COST.
If you would like to be scammed by management, this is the place to come.

The 2 gentlemen on duty yesterday Sunday were helpful in trying to resolve the problem of the access code not working. Unfortunately the code is still not working today Monday. Apparently a software issue. Hopefully one day this week.

I would suggest to anyone, do yourself a favor and AVOID this place - 400 Nepperhan Ave, Yonkers, NY 10701. Do business anywhere else but here - as I will soon be doing. The manager, Nay, is obnoxious, demeaning and lacks candor. I’ve been a customer for many years at multiple locations in multiple States, and I have never met anyone with such bad manners. At first we thought she was having a bad day, but every time we visit the office she has been a challenge to deal with. I can summarize every interaction we’ve had with her with one word - DISRESPECTFUL. Public Storage should heed to my experiences and pay more attention to this staff member…

After keeping things here successfully for years, I've unfortunately had a VERY bad (and VERY costly) customer experience. Here is the story:
My Mother had a unit here for over five years. She paid for it in full on December 1st, the day it renews. On December 2nd, we asked the Public Storage employee "Marck" if we could change the lease it to my name instead of my Mother's. Marck said no, but we could vacate the unit and then it could be opened in my name... he began the process, and I was concerned because though I had my own second unit (Unit #2) there at the time, I didn't want my Mother's unit to be charged for nearly a full month twice (once for my Mother on December 1st, and then again by me on December 2nd). Marck said not to worry, as my second month would be free, which would even things out - that was fine with me.
A few days later, I stopped by again (to vacate my other unit) and asked Marck to please confirm that the unit would be free for the second month -- and he did.
Well, you can imagine my dismay this week when I received an email from Public Storage, detailing my bill for the next month at full cost. I went to the facility, and while Marck was not there I spoke to "Nay" (the manager -- she has a beautiful smile) who explained that Marck was new and had been wrong in what he told me.
This is despicable. Marck's mistake cost me hundreds of dollars. Marck is a very nice person, but he really steered me wrong. Nay explained that there is nothing that can be done, and reiterated that Marck was "new" and that he simply didn't know..... but I'm still out the money. I've been "new" at plenty of jobs in my life, and I know that there is a learning curve, but Marck gave me, a paying customer, some very wrong and very inaccurate information that cost me hundreds of dollars.
Beyond just being extremely unprofessional in customer service, my experience speaks very poorly of the training of new employees at Public Storage. Marck should not working alone there when he was so new and should have been more informed before giving me information that turned out to be so inaccurate and so incorrect.
This Public Storage facility needs to train their new employees better, and take ownership of the incorrect information disseminated by their employees. Marck told me wrong, and I'm stuck paying the price. Shameful.

The best experience/help I’ve ever had being here for 7 years. I wanted to transfer units to get more space and the employee named Malone helped me with all the information I needed. He was very nice and super helpful, showed me different sizes of units, explained the price difference and insurance, as well told me about the public storage app and being able to open doors through the app which I never knew about being here for 7 years!! I had to do work for a customer at this location 137 Saw Mill River Road. While I was here I had the experience of interacting with employee Shantell. I usually don’t leave reviews but she was absolutely awesome to deal with. She had great communication skills and a wonderful attitude. From the minute we walked in she asked us where the room was located because one elevator was broken and she wanted to ensure we had the best route to the other available elevators. Little things like that don’t go unnoticed as most employees wouldn’t do that. She was professional and efficient at the same time. You have a wonderful employee in Shantell.

My dad was nice enough to help me with this storage space he paid for the first 2 years or so not I picked up the payments recently. We never complained about anything no one complained about us. We were NEVER late with any payments EVER!
We obeyed all of the rules at all times.
Now all of the sudden they raise my payments from $214 month to $293? How did they come up with this number? Is it a percentage? What formula did they use??
The place is falling apart it looks horrible! Just today I came to use my space and most of the parking lot was unavailble because of some work they were doing. They were taking up most of the lot. Just to get in the office i have to go way out of my way! No carts available the staff didn't seem to want to be bothered. Maybe i should find another unit elsewhere!! You have way too much competition right next door to you! This place is out of control! Yeah maybe I should go elswhere!!!

This place is alright. EXCEPT the fact that you have to get in with an SUV ONLY since the facility recently put a HUGE bump at the entrance. My sedan got stuck in the middle and looked like a swing and took a very long time to get it out of that.
You can come here if you want to store your things and get your car stuck/scratched/damaged at the entrance.

Don't waste your money here. This place is always closed when it rains because they have severe flooding issues and if you store anything on the main level it will get destroyed. No one is ever at the front desk because public storage makes the one person they have there clean the entire building. Bathrooms are always locked and are not equipped with soap or paper. This place is awful. Go to cube smart instead.
Today is July 12th, 2022 the time is now 12:22pm. I called and spoke to a very rude lady by the name of “Nay” who refused to give me her real name when I asked her for her full name. Her attitude is disgusting. I called because I noticed a pretty significant increase in my rent all of a sudden without notice. When I asked why she just kept responding everyone gets an increase with an attitude. When I asked to speak to the person above her she said there is no one above her there. The called ended with her screaming at me on the phone before she hung up on me. Great customer service all because you mad cause you couldn’t explain to me why I got this increase. But I bet you would find out real quick if it was your bill!! Treat people how you want to be treated, cause this is not it!!

As soon as you drive into the parking area, it looks unattractive. Not well kept with garbage spewing over the dumpster bin. Parking lot is in serious need of replacing and the elevators at time unreliable, will post photos next time.
The staff (the two young women: Sonia and Antoinette) exude professionalism. Both are this locations assets.
