DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE THEY'RE LOADED WITH VERMON AND AREN'T DOING ANYTHING ABOUT IT! WHEN YOUR BELONGINGS ARE DESTROYED YOU WILL NEVER GET REIMBURSED! THE ORANGE DOOR POLICY IS FRAUDULENT.

BEWARE RODENT ISSUE!!! There is a definite rodent infestation in this facility. I’m not the only person complaining as I can see another review with the same problem. I pay close to $300 a month and my unit is covered in rodent feces. I called the district manager and complained and they told me to call my insurance carrier. That was his advice. Basically everything I’ve been storing is ruined and contaminated and they won’t do anything other than to say file a complaint with my insurance company. Horrible customer service.

BEWARE DO NOT RENT FROM THIS LOCATION!!! If i could give 0 stars i would. They have rodent infestations & refuse to do anything about it. They blame the customer & say you should have let them know sooner, even if you bring it to their attention as soon as you noticed. All they do is tell you to file an insurance claim & contact the district manager Daniel, who will go on to ignore your calls. I have never been more disgusted by a facility & their staff. Mind you this is a unit i have only had for 3 months. With the amount of money they charge people every month i would expect much better conditions.

local storage at 109 in Lindenhurst is infested with mice. Clothes were eaten thru and urine on clothes. As we were moving clothes a mouse ran across my daughters feet. She is now having extreme anxiety. She is putting in a claim but nothing is being done to correct this problem
the young man at the front desk is rude and has no care about people. I was asking questions about my unit and a letter that I received and he just blew me off and was completely rude and rushed me off the phone like he didn't want to do his job. this is an on going issue with this young man not wanting to do his job on more than one occasion.
Raised my rent after only 5 months by an additional 40%! I'm really struggling right now, so in person, I requested employee to please submit a request on my behalf for owner to review the exorbitant increase on my account. Employee told me that a computer automatically declined my request, but gave me a phone number to "We Care Center" with Public Storage and told me to call the number for further help and someone would call me back. Person on phone from "We Care Center" told me the same thing, a computer automatically declined my request, despite me asking to have the owner please review the 40% increase on my account after only 5 months & to please have supervisor or owner call me back, I was told a person would not be able to call me back because a computer already denied my request. This review is apparently my only way to try to get in contact with the owner to please review and reconsider the 40% increase on my account because I'm really struggling right now and already tried to speak with someone both in person and on phone, only to be told a computer denied my request. Thank you!

Update.
In March, shortly after I moved into my new unit after being across the hall since this place opened, I began finding mouse droppings. Apparently someone let mice Go inside of the building and now everyone's units are infested. Multiple times I have come into my unit to see mice fleeing. I have talked to the managers about it and they say that there's nothing that they can do because of how bad the infestation is and that the exterminators are working on it. But it's not really working because they are setting traps in the hallways, but the mice are living in our units. Then I come home today to a letter saying that they are upping my monthly rent from $138 to $210. Since public storage has taken over this place has become trash and very corporate feeling. There are more people leaving than moving in, if you don't want your stuff to be covered in roaches and chewed up by mice then go somewhere else.

I renting the storage about 6 months ago and it looks clean but the have rats,mouse and they doing nothing about it. Stay away from this storage.!!!
Don't go here they raise the prices on you right away. And your stuff WILL get ruined. They have a major rat problem for months and won't do anything about it. Make sure you don't care about the stuff you are storing too much.
Rat, mouse, and water damage in my unit has been treated with zero care or credence.
This is the cherry on top of my second price increase in one year, totalling over $50 per month in the last year, and I'm told is rising again under new management in the fall.
If you purchased a unit today you would be paying way less than I now do, but not for long. In fact the same size unit on a different floor costs $100 less per month than what they currently charge me.
They were unwilling to discuss the matter of unreasonable increases (managers not empowered to negotiate, owners never reached out when requested)
Beware! Affordable pricing will not last, and any damages that occur will be treated with the least possible interest.
Been using this location since they open few years back, safe and clean… Five ***** to Krystal and her staff she’s is absolutely amazing and attentive. Best SSS ever had on saff.
Deducted one star for the constant (every 6 months or so) price increase, wish they valued long term clients or had options like contracts.

Instead, I was greeted with a big Hello and a smile. The next thing she asked was how can I help you. I told her I was concerned about the cost and she offered a plan that I could live with. My experience has been great. In the beginning it was frustrating you could not find a cart in the place since people would hoard them or keep them in their units. A policy change that you have to "sign out" a cart has been a great change. They are now always available and accounted for. Place is clean, the staff is always helpful. I would recommend this place to everyone.
At first glance this place is great. As time goes by they raise rents without warning, it’s not climate controlled as stated, and the staff are rude z when I tried to ask why the third floor was 90 degrees the employee continued to interrupt me and tried to gaslight me into believing it was cool. We will be finding a different storage unit.

They just raised their rates $20 after a few months of moving my stuff in there.
Ari was extremely helpful from start to finish. I had to get a storage unit in a hurry after having a flood at our house. I went online to reserve a unit and within minutes she had called to set up a walk through. Would highly recommend using Simply Self Storage.

Life Saver at Simply Storage. I had a reservation with another storage company and without any heads up that company was sold prior to me paying for my unit.
