Something is broken every time we go to our unit. Today, the door codes don't work and a sign on the door says the elevators are broken. There have appeared to be people living in some units on other visits. So, today we couldn't even get in to get some of our stuff. Don't waste your money.
When I first arrived, it looked like the location was closed, even though Google said it was open. I later found out that it’s actually ‘open availability’ just for scheduling appointments. Customer service directed me to drive 4.2 miles to another location to use a kiosk to verify my ID “virtually,” then drive back to access the storage facility. I didn’t want to change my reservation and was already frustrated with all the extra driving—especially since I was in a moving truck. Once I finally arrived, the elevators were broken, which was a huge issue as I was moving everything by myself. To top it off, the gate stopped working when I was leaving. Honestly, I’m shocked because they charge a premium price, and the building looks well-maintained, but these major issues made the whole experience a lot harder than expected.

I had a terrible experience with this storage facility, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. When I first arrived to move in, there was a sign on the door stating they were closed due to a power outage—no prior notice, no updates, nothing. I had to reschedule my flight just to return the next day, which was a major hassle.
When I came back the following day, they were open, but none of the elevators were working, making the move incredibly difficult and frustrating. To add to the inconvenience, I urgently needed to charge my phone for just 10 minutes and politely asked the front desk if I could use an outlet. To my shock, they refused, saying they couldn’t allow it. This level of unhelpfulness is beyond absurd, especially in a place where people are relying on basic services during already stressful moves.
The lack of communication, unreliable facilities, and refusal to offer even the most basic assistance made this experience absolutely awful. This place is clearly not customer-focused and should be avoided at all costs.
INSIDE JOB! ROBBERY ALERT! so many latest reviews of theft and unfortunately happened to us too. We reached there to find our e-bikes, generators, tools stolen. They had access to our locker and took their sweet time to arrange everything back. No cameras on our floor. Staff is useless and running this entire scam.
Super slow expect to wait about 2 hours for a unit
The customer service I’ve received today has been unacceptable. Upwards of 15+ minute wait times every time I’ve needed help from the office. My access code wasn’t updated properly in the system, which led to me waiting around the office 45 minutes before I could even get into my storage unit. The facility seems clean, and well maintained, which is the reason I’m giving two stars. However, this place is running with nowhere near enough help.
The employees were very helpful in my opinion. Shout out to Alfie and Krystin! However the annual price increase was STEEP!! Really hurt to see that. $30 increase was wild and to downgrade to a smaller unit would’ve been more or the same price. Cmon corporate storage biz
The personnel here is amazing, providing exceptional customer service. I paid for a 5x5 online, but when I saw it in person I discovered it was too small for my belongings and with the assistance of the staff had it replaced with the necessary size super quick and hassle-free.
Kristen and Alfie were very helpful with a couple of issues with my unique storage situation today. They went above and beyond the normal "call of duty". I appreciate their attention to detail, organization and cleanliness.

I'm extremely impressed by the clean facilities and the security was just as great and also the top level customer service provided on the phone and in person at the office. I feel like my possessions are safe and secure. Their system is very user friendly and I would like to acknowledge a recent issue with me mis placing my keys and not able to enter my storage . KAT IS THE WOMEN WHO HELP ME WITH this issue and I was a bit hesitant at first but ended up with the ability to enter my storage again and had the ability to secure my unit again thanks to this lady with great conversation and understanding of my situation . I left so relieved and smiling .....
Best Customer Service! Had the pleasure today of meeting Brenda, who was hands-down the best representative Public Storage I’ve met yet! She made storage pains a lot easier and I have never said that about anyone. I definitely would for my team any day.

I'm changing my rating for this reason The place is clean and tidy, but it is not secure. I rented a storage unit from them, and in less than 48 hours, my things were stolen from it, and the insurance company did not compensate me with anything, under the pretext that they could not prove forced entry into the unit, even though I sent them pictures of the broken lock and pictures of the condition of the unit before the theft. After the theft, in addition to the fact that the employee there lied to me twice, I do not know why, and she told me that there was no lock on my unit five hours after she discovered the matter. I advise you to deal with Crystin because she is an honest employee, does not lie, and is expert in her work. If you want to rent a unit with them for a long time, I advise you to use a company. Insurance other than what they have, and you should put two good locks on the door of your unit, and I hope that your private things will be safe and not stolen, as happened to me.
The team here is awesome but Kat is exceptional from the moment we got our unit from her she showed us around and has answered every question even when we stupidly forgot where our unit was lol she really goes above and beyond she deserves a pay raise as far as I'm concerned!
This public Storage location is the best. Kristen Brenda and Kat were the most helpful employees, not only are they great but they made my months of April And May the happiest by telling me I was paid until next month! That was such great news to hear!

I've been a customer since may of 2022. She has an answer to every question I asked. Extremely professional. I recently was a little stressed about down sizing ,but she was helpful, and the process was super simple. Thank you again Krystin your a rock star .
We had our unit broken into and whoever did it was there for HOURS or made multiple visits. It was either pros or an inside job. Our lock was taken off and replaced, everything (that they didn't take) was put back to make it look like the unit hadn't been touched. But, literally every single box was opened and looted. Large pieces of furniture moved. No security footage in the hallways. And it took days before we could get public storage to deal with the changed out lock.
And we found out that the unit next to ours was also broken into.

I actually saw cockroachs in a open unit, and there are customers living in units, I know of 3, and 2 of them are friends of mine, that and the location is why I don't and will never trust this place, not to mention the I think the staff turns the cheek to these issues especially about the tenants that are living there,I mean come on, with that building being new, how can they not know this, with all those cameras there, so weather thier truly clueless or there part of the problem by allowing it, considering the neighborhood they are probably making a buck on the side or maybe thier indulging in the supply of the tenants stash of #@&$, probably both because the employees look like they have used in the past, if you know the sign of user's you will agree!!!!
Not bad for being in a bad neighborhood, had two units converted to one ended up being locked outta both but management fixed the mix up.

Relocated to Reno in April of this year. We needed a bigger storage unit than what we had booked online. We went into the office and Kristen was there to help us. She got us into a larger unit with absolutely no problem at all. We have dealt with Kristen the whole time that we've been renting from public storage and she is amazing. She is always willing to help and make sure the customer leaves happy. Thank you Kristen for making our move in experience a pleasant one!!

The best place to rent from and the managers are the best
We've rented a small unit at this facility for a couple of years. Rent increases frequently. Gone from about $50/month to over $100. When I called them about the continuous increases, they offered me a "rental reduction." So, now they've reduced our rent from $107 to $93. Wow! Gate is frequently left open and no one in the office. We will vacate soon. Do not recommend.

Astonishingly bad. Do not rent here. I was beind followed inside the gate by a pedestrian who was eyeing me while I was driving a U haul. Everything is broken. Unit wasn't ready.
I have one other unit with Public Storage elsewhere, so figured I should book with them again. What a mistake.
Booked many weeks in advance. Got there and our unit wasn't ready. My code and app wouldn't get me in. I went to the office and it took forever to reset the code and get in. Then, I was informed it's not cleaned or ready for me to move in. We promised to come back later in the day. We came back after noon, and still it wasn't ready. I had to extend my U haul rental for a day, costing me an extre $60 for this delay.
Then, we bring the U Haul the next day. I get there by 8AM. I expect the office to be open by 9AM. The app said office hours from 6AM on Saturday. At 9, I knock on the office door. I tried to find a bathroom and access with my code and could not. I'm told there's a bathroom inside one of the buildings. I have to go all around the building to access and then walk all the way down to find bathrooms. Both are out of order. I would have been able to get in easier, but the closest entrance door for the main complex was caution taped and the glass was broken likely because of a break in.
I go back to the office and the lady won't open the door. She says it's not open until 9:30 on Saturdays. I informed her the bathroom she sent me to was out of order, both of them. She said there are no other bathrooms. I went into my U haul and had to pee in a bin.
This was 2 days after my unit rental was supposed to start, and it still wasn't clean.
It's not safe. They are unprofessional. Nothing works. I am thinking of cancelling both the units I have with this company because my experience was so bad.

Great Staff
I've already did a review and this popped up again. I have learned that Nina works for both locations. When I called to follow up on a unit I was informed she was working at her location. Long story short I decided to go by the location by Grove and while sitting in my car this girl runs by goes into the office. Says something to customers goes around her desk d does something on the computer and comes back around grabs something off the desk have it to a customer and find out. The customer rolled a cart out right after and as I was getting out my car Nina runs right back in the office. I walked in as she was taking a payment for one customer and out loud verbally explaing to 3 others what an erental is and the process to get their unit information and the lock.
A few minutes later when I could get to the counter I asked her are you always running around? The woman to her side stated Nina always. She does not stop. Nina laughed and just replied with gotta get the job done. And how can I help you today? Did you not want to store at McCarran? The fact that she remembered me was remarkable. I answered her question and asked her if she seen my review from the other places he said I'm sorry I have not. Does public storage upper management not validate their employees. How sad is that. So I have checked out 2 more locations and other managers have stated we don't get paid enough. No bonuses no anything these other locations are messy and the women are rude. Nina 100% professional with her words and appears to care about her customers, I heard her mention her other managers when referring customers to other location or coming back on a day she is not working. Kristin and another Kristin weird, are also respectful and kind.

The the people were terrific. I'm concerned that an advertisement of $1 a month for the first month did not seem to happen. Next, which is a problem I have, I asked for a 10x10 and got it. I asked for a bottom floor I got it. But at 82 years old or this bottom floor is is quite a distance from the incoming door all the way down the hall and around the corner to my storage unit. I'm not sure that's going to work for me. Can changes be made easily? I await your reply.

I rented a unit online at a different location. When I arrived to the storage, the gate key needed verification. The office was closed and I called the number on the door. This was the customer service line. I went around and around with this person and was told could not do anything until the next day. However, I needed entrance that night. Kristin had called me earlier in the day (from information I submitted online) and I called that number back. She was so helpful! She was able to resolve the issue so that the gate code would allow me in! I wanted to hug her through the phone! If you ever have an issue, I definitely recommend her for her help and do not call the 800 line. She went above and beyond for me and I really appreciated it!

I never review places but I felt I needed to warn people. The reason for 2 stars and not 1 is because the facility is nice and clean. However, I had no assistance locating my unit, for 2 days the elevator was out of order (I was on the 3rd floor) when I called to ask if they had any time frame when the elevator might be back up and running I was met with these words from Krysten: "We're not the elevator people, whenever they get here!". In my opinion that is not how you should speak to a paying customer. I was not rude in asking my question. I had this unit for less than a week and canceled my contract after that experience. Would not recommend this place due to terrible customer service.
Just want to give my opinion regarding this place - they're awesome & you can tell that they do care every unit.3 weeks ago the last time I visited my unit & unfortunately I did not locked correctly. Got phone call & told me that they secure my unit, replace my padlock with their expense. Came to check & Krystin is very helpful & accommodating & educate me todo it right. Thank you Krystin for assisting me.

Haven’t rented a storage unit in years. Nina C. Made my experience wonderful & easy. Walked me to my unit and showed me the property. Was shocked on how clean the property was. My 10x15 had no odor & was super clean. Also, when Nina was touring me to my unit. If she scene anything on the floor she picked it up or anything open she closed it. That made me feel even more confident on my decision.
When we return back to the office. Nina went over all the policies & made me feel very comfortable with making the choice to pick Public Storage. Also not to mention. Nina offer me a water & made sure before I left I understood & answered all my questions.

We are very happy with Public Storage. It is heated and clean and allows for easy access through their app. It’s safe and allows you to only access the level you have storage at so that is a great feature. Also, I would like to commend Kathy for being so friendly and so helpful to us. She explained the contract and the parameters of our agreement very well and provided tips and pointers to make our experience easier.
Krysten and Helena got me taken care of and out of there in 10 minutes and got me a cheaper unit than anywhere else I've looked. Amazing experience.

I am incredibly dissatisfied and disappointed in the service I’ve received here. My house was involved in a fire and I needed somewhere to store my stuff (donations and things that were salvaged from the fire), but you get what you pay for.
1. There is literally never anyone in the front desk, and my access code didn’t work for me to get to the front office which is where all of the rolling carts are, so I have to either wait for someone to return to the front OR carry everything up by myself and make 100 trips, and no one answers the phone.
2. They will evict you after 5 days if you don’t move in right away, and they will not tell or contact you, you have to find out for yourself. We paid for 2 months in advance and we went in less then a week after purchasing the unit and they evicted us!! I only found out because when I went to put things in storage my access code wasn’t working, but yet again there was NO ONE in the front office to help us, we waiting over an hour for someone to show up and help us, the lady on the phone said that we won’t be able to access our unit in 24 hours (didn’t make any sense), but then the guy was able to get us in our unit the same day? Make it make sense bro 😂
3. After paying upfront and finally getting access to my unit, now they are saying I owe $80 for December EVEN THOUGH I ALREADY PAID FOR 2 MONTHS IN ADVANCE!! And you guessed it, still no one in the front office and no one answers the phone!!
This unit itself is okay, but it’s the service that is awful, the people are incredibly nice but some are just not helpful or don’t know what they are doing. For the most part they are nice people…. WHEN THERE IS SOMEONE IN THE OFFICE !!! I get that places are short staffed but come on, at least make sure people have access to the rolling carts!! I have been waiting so far almost an hour for someone to show up to the front desk to just let me get a rolling cart 🙄 the two times I have came there was no one in the front office. It’s kind of ridiculous.

I have one major complaint. The interior of the building doesn't have any indicators of direction. Every corridor looks the same and there are no signs telling you where the elevator is located. The EXIT signs lead to corners or stairwells. I spent 15 minutes trying to find the elevator. Another customer had to show me where to go. By that time I was in a total panic attack and crying. It was quite embarrassing. The lady in the office was WONDERFUL. She brought me water and stayed with me while I calmed down and gave me the number for the corporate office. She was a life saver!
I don't think other facilities are any different. I'm not sure if anyone else has had this experience but, it was horrible.

I had this beautiful young woman by the name of Krystin if I’m not mistaken, Help me with figuring out why my payments weren’t going thru as well as she assisted me with figuring out what size unit I needed. She had an amazing straightforward attitude, a smile, and she made me feel safe and comfortable. 10/10 would recommend
The customer service here is amazing!Id like to give a shout out to Kristen (hope I spelled your name right!) She goes above and beyond and makes sure that her customer's are taken care of, and when she says she'll get back with you , she does. It's nice to know that there's people that still care. Fantastic staff and easy experience
Up until close of business today I rented a 10x10 storage unit for almost 12 months. I don't visit my storage unit but once a month by dumb luck I visited my unit two days ago and I had a notice taped to my storage unit door posted same day stating I had only two days to vacate my belongings by COB today March 31st or I would loose all of my personal belongings. I pay my rent every month however I'm always a few day's late which costs me an extra $30 a month brining my total due to $130 a month. due to my pay schedule I have had no choice but inure the late fee.. good for them they make more money. Whomever made the decisions to set me up to potentially loose my stuff by only giving me two days without proper notification is despicable and you are unfit to do your job. The power trip you showed because you are unhappy with your position in life is not my fault or the fault of others.
You should be ashamed of your lack of personal integrity and character. You cannot play judge, jury & executioner with other people's personal belongings.

Top notch facility, clean storage units, friendly and very helpful staff. Christine is amazing, she goes above and beyond to help her customers as much as she can. Wouldnt recommend any other place to keep your belongings. I know that keeping my belongings at public storage with christine that all my stuff is safe and will be there exactly how i left it.
This location is clean, affordable and the customer service is stellar!!! I highly suggest this location!! Krystin is the person that helped me out and I am grateful for all she does!! Thanks again!!!!
