Received a called from the manager Kayla to make sure my move-in to the storage unit went smoothly, which it did! Easy self-service check-in and clear instructions for gate access and unit entry. It’s a nice area and has many options for those in need of storage, on top of the lowest prices I could find in south Reno!
Incredibly easy to get a unit everything was done online and the app is very convenient and easy to navigate. While loading our unit we realized we were gonna need a second one and were able to get it that day while we were loading. Definitely recommend this place.
Kayla has been a dream working with us and our needs. She has made it so easy and painless with no worries.
Unsafe and unsecure do not use them. My unit got broken into and their storage units are a joke.
If you google public storage theft - there is information on theft rings involving Public storage. Corporate knows about it but they don’t care and they don’t want the public to know. It’s the same modus operandi. They leave the licks intact and pry open the gate on the side.
The thing is they have the access codes to the gate so this is an inside job. Do not trust this place and this company

This was the first time I rented from Public Storage and I was very impressed with both Kayla and Erica and the wonderful customer service that they provided me with in getting started with my new unit.

Last week I called to get pricing. Spoke to a girl name Erica, She was so great to talk to and helpful.
I had rented the large 10x24 unit for furniture and my truck, but the vehicle was too large for any room left over for furniture. The rental agreement was a bit unclear about how to cancel if less than 24 hours from signing, and so I came down to the physical location and interacted with Crystal at the kiosk. She was extremely helpful in helping me cancel the rental and she also forwarded the documents to the property manager who quickly responded with confirmed cancellation of the rental with refund of fees excepting the small administrative fee.
My experience with virtual customer service personnel have been suboptimal over recent years, but Crystal was professional, courteous and efficient in helping navigate the issue.
I will be back in the future should I require additional storage needs.

Janea is the manager at the Virginia location who did an outstanding job helping me finding storage space. After speaking with Public Storage's customer service line I was placed on hold several times that lead me no where. Finally meeting Janea me she exhibited a warm welcome and deemed complete motivation to help me in my time of desperation. Janea went above and beyond to help me find a storage space the was fitting for all my items and affordable! Janae is easy to talk to and truly cares. Now looking at other options. These scam artists have raised my prices 5 times now, and I'm paying nearly $400.
Raised my monthly price 3 times already and I've been here less then a year. Paying over $300 a month now. Also, their gates are always broken, at least one of them.
Its easy in and 0ut. They give you a great lock. And it's secure. There are no facilities available so use the toilet before coming in. A bit pricey but now everything is.
Easy to register with kiosk and move in immediately.
Okay . it was very convenient . however . not one person was available on site on Virginia street to speak to about anything . I had ended up paying an extra months rent over a futon I had to leave because I ran out of room in my Uhaul. You guys need someone on site to help with small issues like that so people don't get charged 200 for leaving one piece of furniture . give them a dump fee of like 50.00 . honestly . it was a couch not a whole house . that being said , Erika from the McCarran property was very very kind and helpful . she went out of her way to try to help me with this issue . she deserves a raise or a bonus or both , because public storage , she's your best employee besides Kenneth , the dude from your app who took my card out of your system .

What can i say. I mean its puic storage. Great customer service on the phone but if you need actual physical help u might want to dial the 1 800 number to find a location that will have csr's on sight. What can i say 5 stars

Drastically raise rates every couple months. Seems like one of the enter/exit gates are always broken, making it a pain to get in and out of the place. I'd advise going elsewhere, if you could find a locally owned one, do it.
Seems there removing all office space 2 keep customers away.

We came on labour day Monday and couldn’t believe how efficient and helpful the agent was. She not only was thorough and answered all of our questions but gave us extra info about Reno as we are from out of town. Thank you so much Kathy! I rented a small unit here for two months and dealt with Kathy in the office. She was always extremely helpful and made me feel like if I needed anything she’d be there to help. I Would recommend this location highly!
Kathy at this storage facility is the best part of the place. She is always willing to try and help out with what she can. However, the company takes its time with fixing anything. The back gate has been broken several times and is currently not working and hasn't for over a month.
Although the facility and employees are nice, the corporation itself gouges customers with unbelievable price increases. I rented a space on 12/21 for $210/mo. By 2/22, they raised it to $301/mo. - a 43% price increase in 14 months!! I called the corporation on this (the facility has nothing to do with pricing) and they said they'd reduce it to $240/mo. But, last month they jacked it up to $300 again and won't reduce it. So, my annualized rate of rent increase is about 25%!! Once they have you, they have you and they know it. This level of a price increase is absolutely terrible but they know it is very hard for us to go through all the trouble to leave so they gouge. If you rent, stand by to have massive price increases thrown at you! But, if you want a space there and it's full, don't worry because they will be having an opening here very soon...

I can highly recommend this public storage location. Kathy, the wonderful office attendant, has made a difficult move so much better by her upbeat attitude and helpful hints and checking in to see if there's anything we need. She keeps careful watch to see that the site is kept clean and is always cheerful and eager to do whatever she can to assure that it is a safe and pleasant site for long term, or short term, storage.
The property is well maintained and the staff are uniformly helpful and courteous. Kathy, in particular, has been extremely helpful. It makes a big difference. She's a delight!

Absolute terrible experience, website said they had a space available, it was not. They made a reservation for me two days later when supposedly it would be and then they never showed or never called back. Multiple calls to the management netted no result, very disappointing and not what I expected from public storage.
This storage place made everything so simple n stress free in a time of mass stress. Kathy was so nice and gave me lots of options all units and pricing She showed me some units and we went to see them and they were cleaner then a lot of other storage places I’ve been at. Just recently I got a house n no longer need storage I got everything out and totally forgot to call and let them know I would like close out my account but Kathy being the boss lady she is called me this morning to ask if everything was ok because my locker was empty. I told her I totally forgot and she closed out the account never a problem with this company love them n their staff thanks guys
