They offer you a good initial rate, but after 6 months they automatically raise your rent by $50 no matter what size unit you have.

I have to say this is the 1st time I've ever looked for a storage unit. I've been to a few before I picked public storage. This location in south Plainfield is beautiful and everyone from the phone service to hold a unit to actually in store was super friendly and helpful. When I got there the process was very easy and Dan helped me with my unit; He showed me around and took his time w the app and keypads to ensure I knew how to use it. Dan was super helpful and at the end even told me if I have any issues to stop in the office they will help me or I can call the 800 # if it's after hours in store.

I highly recommend this place. After completing my rental online, i stopped by and i greeted by staff member, Kleone. She was super helpful, she even took the time out to carry me to my unit and help me find a dolly to load my stuff. Afterwards she assured me that my property will be properly protected here
Today I had the pleasure talking with Bernice. My son is a student at the Rutgers University and he secure unit. What we don’t know was we could have been here early if my son would have pay attention to the details he had his space number and gate code. Bernice was more than happy to help us out. She also suggested we download the public storage app. Which we did. Bernice also showed us how to get around to our unit. The location was so nice and clean. Such a clean and aesthetic building. This was my first time renting a storage unit, and I wasn’t familiar with the process. I went there in person to set everything up and Ricardo assisted me in the most personable, patient, and respectful manner. There was no upselling, instead he helped me get the most affordable rate, and even went the extra mile in order to get me that rate. That was all very much appreciated. At the end, he walked me to my unit, showed me how to use the key, and then walked me back, making sure I didn’t have any questions and left me feeling confident in my decisions. Definitely a 5/5 for Ricardo, 5/5 for building cleanliness, and 5/5 for the ease of access. Pleasant experience all around. Thank you!

This is what the public storage gate did to my vehicle. Apparently there's no sensor on that gate. Drive through that gate at your own risk. Also, staff is rude and nasty!
