Unreliable and unprofessional. No signage to explain why the doors are locked and I’ve been sitting outside for 30 min. Customer service (phone call) isn’t doing anything to resolve it.

I’ve been renting a 10x10 unit at this location for about 2 or 3 years now and have been completely satisfied with the cleanliness, use of carts and available hours to access my unit. Never had any issues at all. With regard to the property manager, Tammy is her name and if possible, I would suggest working with her. From day one, she has been extremely responsive, caring, helpful and has worked hard to accommodate any questions or concerns I may have had. The few times I’ve left a message her call back was perfectly timely. Any time I’ve gone into the office on site she always greeted me with a smile. The storage unit is the storage unit, but the property manager is the one who makes the experience good or bad. Tammy is an asset the Public Storage is fortunate to have as I have been.

I've had multiple rent increases with Public Storage within approximately an 18 - 20 month span but Tammy has been professional and I thank her for her help.

Just wanted to express my appreciation to Tammy at the Scotch Plains NJ location for assisting with my move from a large unit to a smaller unit. She took the effort to make my transition easier by locating a smaller unit nearby. This was a major factor since it cut down on the time needed to vacate the larger unit.
I also appreciated the useful information both she and Jared provided about the time frame to get my items out of the larger unit prior to the month's end. This was particularly important so that I wouldn't get billed for 2 units or create any confusions and be locked out once 1 contract ended and the other began. Thanks again.
Finally started moving things out of my storage box! Have nothing but good words and gratitude for PS and Tammy for all their great service all thru 2022, but specially thru the end of 2021 when most of their area and facility were flooded by the worst flood in decades. They were able to overcome the crisis and even improve this storage facility. Sincere thanks to Public Storage and to Tammy... 💖🙏💖

Price will change, and according to them. There allowed to do it when ever they want with a 30 day notice. The app will attract you with a good price then add on insurance and taxes. 6 months down the line $50 increase. They will take advantage. You either deal with it or find another storage place.
2024 update: I was late 3 days and price went up $23. Nothing on the bill states a late fee. Just that my bill is now the new amount. But to make sure you pay on the 1st

I finally had the pleasure of meeting Ms Tammy after having had numerous calls from her regarding my paperwork.
At each discussion,
I made promises to arrive at the facility on certain dates /times to no avail.
She remained professional, patient and kind at every attempt.
When I finally saw her, i smiled because she held that same energy I felt over the phone. I said your Tammy right. She smiled and was so attentative, understanding and had a willingness to assist me with my concerns.

THIS is where you should store your stuff. The site is clean, accessible and Tammy the manager is BEYOND HELPFUL. She looks out for her customers wherever she can and makes the experience as BEST it can be for storing your stuff. Thank you Tammy.
The entire process was very easy and well explained. I called into the call center and they explained the whole process and found the closest location to me. They put me in touch with the manager Tammy at the location. I came in and met with Tammy and she showed me the unit and walked me thru the whole process. She was very pleasant and made the process so simple. I can't say enough how smooth an experience this was.
BEWARE! This facility increases their rates within the first year. I have had two rate increases in a single year (how is this legal?). I started paying $80 in August, then $100 in January, and now $120 starting in November. These rate increases are outright predatory. I've requested a stay on these increases which was swiftly rejected by corporate headquarters.
The facility is well kept and the manager, Tammy I think, is great. But the corporate practices of predatory rate increases is criminal.

Remember that this is an appointment only place and not a walk-in for the visitors.

First time using public storage, access was easy, I still need to try the app, but code worked like a charm, they provide you carts so it’s easy for you to move in and out your stuff. Check in process was easy as well, and finding the unit wasn’t that hard once I saw the map.
Overall good experience so far, I didn’t see to much illumination inside my unit but I guess is because is not too big but having a flashlight could help you greatly.
Excellent customer service in a time when ppl are not kind to each other. Tammy, is the best example of service. She’s patient, kind, thoughtful and professional. Going beyond her job to make sure ppl are satisfied. I really hope that anyone that meets Tammy takes a lesson in kindness from her.
The storage building is clean, safe & accessible.
I was in contact with manager Tammy after making my reservation online. She sent me an email and also called me to confirm. She worked with me to accommodate my schedule for us to meet to go over my options and to sign the contract. She was absolutely great to deal with. We were able to check out various units available for lease and she was right there alongside us. She walked us through the signing of the contract which went as smooth as silk.
