Weekend availability by staff is poor. If there is a need that you have you will have to leave a voice message and expect a return call, that from my experience takes several hours from initial notification. The storage should change its advertisement for weekend availability since there is no one on site for needs.

Wish I could get this kind of customer service everywhere I do business. I had an ongoing issue with my unit for approximately a year, that kept getting mishandled. Once I brought it to her attention, she had it resolved within just 2 days!!! She is a fantastic asset to the Public Storage company. Thank you so much!

Anytime I needed help at the unit, there was no one ever there. Every time I called, no one never answered. I was asked to leave a voicemail and took someone several days to call back. The hours on the door and on the voicemail was never correct because I found out that someone only shows up there by appointment only. I was lied to in the very beginning and told I needed to buy their lock and that I can return it once I am done renting the unit. When I finally able to cancel, I was told that I can not return the lock and it was mine to keep. But the lock is specially made for those units. There is no way to use it for anything else. Do not buy their locks, it is a scam. If you look at my screenshot, it clearly says deposit and refunded when returned.

So far the facilities have been clean and have provided a safe place to store my belongings. They increased my rent after only a couple month. I purposely rented a unit outside Charlotte to save some money and that was apparently a waste of time. Not appreciated.

The workers here are very knowledgeable, and I have had great experiences coming to this Public Storage. I had a couple of friends recommend me to rent from this location and I am so glad I did. Shout out to Vanessa for helping me understand the whole process and making me feel at peace knowing my belongings are safe and secure. 10/10.
It is the worst thing I've ever seen. As soon as I rented this storage mice and rats, spiders and other insects appeared there. I called the office and was told to give them a key so they could set up rat traps. I also told them that there was a hole in the ceiling, it was never fixed.My stuff were all stained with rat feces.And when I decided to take my things from there and moved, I realized that my furniture, computer and other things were missing.I tried to charge insurance for the losses, but they just turned me down because there was no forced entry. Do not rent this storage!!!These cameras are also fake, as I was told they only have a record for a couple of weeks, I'm sure the workers themselves took the things.The key was never returned to me.As a result, rats, mice, insects and even a loss of $ 5,000 worth of things, thank you for entrusting my property to you!

I have rented a unit here for a few years now. My unit is an outside unit and I have battled bugs and everything else here! My rent has gone up more than my rent at my home! Absolutely my last month here! I wish I could give it a zero star!
I rented a storage unit from this location. My arrangement took days for me to decide. Having being there for many days contemplating on my option, the location Manager Jenny was calm and helpful accomodating me with answers to make my decisions simple. She is young but very helpful in every regards. The process was easy and quick. Jenny is great in every sense of handling her job functions with grace. Excellent experience.
My lock is missing and I can’t access my unit. I’ve been over-charged and over-fined since I’ve moved my belongings here and now I can’t even access my property. Terrible communication all around and horrible customer service.

They’ve raised my rent without my approval now and have locked me out of my unit again!

Update: someone from corporate named Tom called me about this review. I explained him my situation and that I was hurt on the job in may and having been trying to vacate the premises immediately as I am unable to work and afford the bill.
I pay my dues; and when I have a crew to come move my stuff, they have my unit locked and inaccessible.
Tom read off the notes for this situation; everything the managers said was a lie. They weren’t around Saturday morning for me to move the stuff out either. It’s quite wild. He even coaxed me to spend my last 20$ I had saved for Ubers to my doctors appointments.
Beware of public storage.
If you purchased MO19 and don’t mind contacting me for my items, it would be a blessing. 🫡
You will NOT find better customer service than Jenny! She is thoroughly knowledgeable and can help you with every need or situation you may have and does it with a pleasant demeanor. You will not find another site with better service. I highly recommend this site.
No one is ever in the office! We have been trying to call & turn in our keys but no one is EVER in the office.

Nice facility storage is clean the gps gives you a wrong marker when you are trying to locate the place.
This is definitely a really nice overlooked public storage location. The prices here are super great and they offer inside and outside storage. The inside storage is all climate controlled and the building is relatively new so it has a very nice and modern feeling. It is never dirty here. I think that they’ll even let you buy parking spots for your cars or boats.
The only downside is that they do not let you use the dumping bins.
if you want to keep your things after they are put into storage, DO NOT RENT at this location.
We rented a storage unit less than a week ago, thousands of dollars worth of items have been stolen. i still cannot get access to my unit.
The person at the front office is of no help, she cannot tell me who i need to contact or next steps, there is no support whatsoever. All i hear is “i don’t know”. The camera footage only goes back a few days and camera footage cannot be reviewed. Absolute waste of time.
DO NOT RENT FROM THIS LOCATION!

I've had some not-great experiences with storage places, but this Public Storage location is just great. Highly recommended. The location is clean, well-maintained, and conveniently located, and staff were always pleasant and helpful. Also, the Public Storage app is helpful and works surprisingly well.
I just want to say that Ms. Rhonda has shown me that great customer service is not a lost art. I had an issue with my storage unit that Rhonda helped me to resolve. We have so much going on with the holidays and the move to our new home and Rhonda made this a non issue as we were able to resolve the issues with our unit and gain access. Rhonda made my day! Address is incorrect for starters. Smh. Customer service lied and confirmed my reservation for 1 month free which was a loe. If I didn't have a tow company. I WOULD have canceled. I spent nearly $100 to park in the rain. . Reservation lo kef and spent an hour there to get taken care of. Not happy at all.

Rented a unit since 2016 after relocating.
All was well till this year when rent increased by 60%. They also began annoyingly calling me begging for rent even though I was never a person to be late with it. I never got a concrete answer on why the increase or the annoying phone calls. After a few months of this storage space becoming a hassle more than an asset I'm done with them and moving out. Do yourself a favor and evaluate if you actually need a storage unit for your stuff........ Hopefully you just need to evaluate your life and can rid yourself of unwanted clutter, if you do in fact need extra storage, find someplace else, these people aren't the answer.
I was doing my research online and decided to visit several facilities in person. The hard sell “you have to sign a rental contract today” was annoying and just complicated my search. When I visited Public Storage @ 13015 Independence Blvd I was relieved and impressed. Ally answered every question I had, provided details I hadn’t considered, and presented options instead of demands. Will definitely recommend the location and staff to everyone!

Closed at 9pm and locked me inside. Had to sleep in my truck. Why have remote access but not 24 hours? Definitely cancelling my membership.
My sister needed to move the contents of a storage unit in Troutman, NC closer to where she's living now in Union County. She had reserved a unit with another company located in Charlotte but no attendant was on duty...they laid out, which we were told but other customers there was very common. My sister was on the phone with Life Spa_e trying to find out what they could do, so I decided to see what I could find. In a short time, I found Public Storage in Stallings. Kyle was very helpful over the phone, so as Mare was still listening to the excuses Life Spa_e was giving her. her, I drove to Stallings. Kyle met us and took us to an available unit.

Rented a unit before moving overseas and with this month's 40% increase, my rent has now nearly doubled in two years. $73 to$137. Stuck paying this ridiculous price until I can get back to the US to move my belongings out.
Corporate's lame answer was:
If price is an issue, we will gladly see if we can find another less expensive storage unit that meets your needs.

I have a 20x20 unit. It started out at $171 in January 2019, then went to $205 in May, then to $252 in February 2020, then $289 in February 2021, and finally $398 in January 2022. It has more than doubled in 3 years, all the while IT HAS BEEN BROKEN INTO TWICE, there are black widows living in the unit - yes, black widows and now there are boats and things parked along the fence making it very difficult to get a trailer backed to it. We're done, moving the rest out this weekend.
It was a great place. Everything looks organized and clean.
I'll echo the other reviews by Kyle. He is a rock star when it comes to customer service, always above and beyond to.assist. He had me in and out in a matter of minutes and took care of all the paperwork. I am in the climate controlled section, a new addition about 4 months old. Super clean and bright, close to the door, great layout
