Disaster from the start! First the told me a 10 x 10 would be plenty of space. Ended up needing two units. This location in Kannapolis NC IS AN EXTREMELY POOR SETUP.. at the end of the driveway your U-Haul will not make it around the corner. We had to take 20 minutes to go back and forth with the truck and several men standing on the bumper just to get it to go around the corner.
Then they ended up charging me many times over for storage units and locks. The whole thing was a disaster. I would not recommend this mess to anyone. Extremely overwhelmed after driving 2 days to find our storage unit. Greeted with one headache after another.
The gal in the office tried to help.
Was providing A credit for me. Which never came through on my account. Thoroughly disgusted. Do not use this facility.

Property manager doesn't answer calls or the door apparently, also the property is dirty and they dont clean it properly i bought ALL new things for my new house and put it in the storage until i was able to move and when i went into my storage to add more items i noticed roaches in my unit and NOTHING has been done to resolve my situation yet and its going on 2 weeks. Ive lefts emails voicemails anything i could possibly do and still no one has contacted me! So be mindful if you place your things here!
I was at my lowest point and needed a person willing to help and with a smile on their face. Thank God for Amanda she brought my spirits up and helped me with kindness and professionalism. She is a supper lady, thank you so much for your help. Awesome Service!!!!

finally get someone on the phone using the 1-800 number and they tell me the lack of correspondence is due to the fact that they have no property manager at this location!!!

I had gone to a couple other storage places before this and felt like I was getting the runaround. I understand how pricing can work and that's fine, but other places seem to be shady about it. When I went to public storage and worked with Megan I felt like she was giving me a clear expectation and answered all of my questions clearly and genuinely. It really helped me feel more comfortable about my moving.

Make sure you check out your unit while it's raining. Mine had 2 leaks and the manager in MIA for this property. She doesn't show up for scheduled appointments, nor does she return calls. Impossibse to get help from the company once you are locked in
I will never do business with them again.
I've been using the storage facility for years. It seems as though the prices continue to rise higher and higher. But nothing is improved to warrant the frequent increases. They just implemented a new $50 late fee, where they will put a lock on your storage and you can't get it off until you pay the $50 or have them come and they'll remove the lock, some type of madness. To me, that is crazy because you already have to pay a late fee when you're late. I don't understand the necessity for another $50 fee and a lock, another lock added to your storage. I will be removing my stuff soon.

Amanda is an excellent employee. I was very nervous because I heard odd sounds & I called the office. She answered and said she will be right there & came in 7 minutes tops. She went into the facility, surveilled it, and then waited with me while I unloaded my property for about an additional 15 minutes. As someone who struggled with anxiety and am making a huge move on my own this meant a lot to me. If all of public storage employees are like Amanda, then the hiring process is phenomenal & needs to be an industry standard. I am very thankful for her, god bless!
