The service was great! The establishment was clean and odor free! The receptionist was polite, very helpful and was knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. She even took me to where my storage unit was at and show me the actual unit! Show me how/where to exit the grounds at and asked me if I had any other questions that she could help me with. She thanked me for choosing their storage company and went back to the office. Even the outside grounds area was clean, like no trash, paper or nothing sitting/abandon outside of a storage unit. It was a pleasant experience! Grateful!

I came in to look at a storage unit. Brandon was extremely helpful. The office was clean and welcoming. I recommend this facility to anyone in need of storage space.

Back to 1 star. My issue was that they were charging me nearly $200 for a small 5x15 space. They raised my rent $50 every few months. When I told them I could no longer afford it, I got a call saying they would decrease my rent back down to what it was what I could afford. The 1st of the month comes and it’s still $200. I called again telling them that my rent was supposed to be decreased and was told that I would need to pay the $200 in order for my rent to go back down. I told them I wasn't doing that since they promised me a rent decrease. They said they would call me back about the situation but it’s been over a week and haven’t heard a word. They are a bunch of liars to get you to stay to pay their ridiculous rental price!! If i knew they were going to pull this garbage, i would have sticked to my plan to move out before the 1st. DO NOT RENT HERE!!

After DAYS and wasting time of going around and around online trying to reserve a storage unit; I was Blessed to have the opportunity to meet FACE to FACE with Sherri and Sammantha at the facility on Union Rd in Gastonia, NC. I knew immediately, I was in the best hands no more frustrations trying to book online. I trust Public Storage is aware of the invaluable asset they have in Sherri and Sammantha!! These kind, caring, knowlegeable, and professional ladies are an breath of fresh air in the times we are living in!!! They were very busy when I walked in the door but dropped everything to service my needs.I toured to unit, finished all paperwork, booked my unit and on my way in less that 25 minutes.. She was very very nice and respectful! She was patient with me and my situation, handling it quickly with no problems! Answered all the questions I had with no problem. From the phone conversation to in person she was very sweet, I definitely recommend this location to any and everyone!!!!!!!!

They're the worst storage unit company I've ever used. One that topped it all for me was the fact that while it was winter & cold outside 19° my wife's battery died on her while unloading the vehicle they have a rule that makes it so you can't enter the facility after 9 PM, I made it to help her around 20-30 minutes prior we had to wait on the tow truck to help us it passed 9 & the 24hr number we contacted told us it'd be fine just call back & they'd allow the tow truck to enter & help us out. Once the tow truck came it was a few minutes after 9 PM & they wouldn't let them in to help when called back. The lady was very rude & told us we would be stuck until the next business day which was absurd (they hung up on us multiple times and were very rude while it was too bad and our problem) I have a medical condition that requires medication & during this time they were provided with every bit of this information & still didn't care. We had to contact 911 for assistance "due to the medical condition & being so cold we had concerns about getting hypothermia. We told them this was a matter of life safety and she still hung up on us. The fire/rescue were dispatched to our location after 1hr 45mins & we finally reached someone who wasn't a hateful person & said they're not sure why the previous lady wouldn't have just opened the gate to allow help or simply let us out. More details of other incidents have been documented & will be updated on this review after everything is addressed properly. Wouldn't recommend this location to anyone. ☆1 is only because Google won't allow negative ☆on here.

Customer service is decent but I do feel I was being overcharged for my $387 a month

Very friendly service clean environment, clean surroundings, very helpful. Everybody couldn’t ask for anything more. The manager was very nice encouraging smile on her face as my wife said a very beautiful lady.

I've never been treated so rudely as I have by Laura. 1st of all shes NEVER there. You make appointment and she doesn't show for 2 hours. I asked her to connect me with a supervisor, she hung up on me. I called back stating that I asked for a supervisor not to be hung up on, my exact words, and she hung up on me again. After contacting action 9 news I had to leave a vm cause she refused to answer my call. So finally a supervisor called me being rude as I was being rude as well after being treated so poorly by Laura. I'm going to use my platform of 54k followers to blow this up as well as action 9 news. If your employee. Laura can't have good customer service and treat people better and actually show up for work then she shouldn't be there. I will never use nor recommend this location. I'm only sending out bad reviews. I can send you the video I created if you'd like to see what 54k people are going to see

Laura and Camero are so amazing. This facility is truly lucky to have them. I'm glad they are still here. They give each customer the absolute best service and they make you smile every time you come in. They always do their best and are such hard workers. You can't go wrong storing here with them.

I recommend not using public storage! They are trying to deny my refund on a unit that I canceled and didn’t end up needing. Been calling for several days trying to get my money they told me it would take 48 hours to process, then proceeded to tell me it would be on there in a couple days and I have now been waiting 7 days to receive my money and they are saying I may not even be approved to get my refund which is stupid because I never used the unit in the first place!!! So I do not recommend using this facility

I was helping a friend move into his space. The Property Manager, Laura stopped by just to check on us to make sure the space was working out. It's not everyday that you find customer service past completing the contract, but she was great! After listening to all of the benefits Public Storage has to offer to make us feel confident in storing my items, I am glad my friend chose this location. I want to say thank you for helping to make this transition easier than what we were expecting.

The ladies who helped me check in and check out were friendly and helpful. I had no issue with reserving/ closing out. Process was a breeze. I rented a 5x10 indoor "climate control" unit which made no difference of having an indoor unit vs outdoor because the temperature was constantly freezing. You also need something large/heavy to prop open the doors because they don't stay open on their own from what we saw. My unit had a slight cigarette smell but luckily didn't stink up my stuff. The road to exit is rocky/bumpy too. It would be nice if they repaved it so people's stuff doesn't go everywhere trying to move. Overall it wasn't a terrible experience but could use improvement.

The layout is weird for me, and the exit isn't paved, it's gravel/dirt. I'm concerned about getting uhauls in and out. I will update after using.

This is a difficult place to deal with, easy to sign up. The app doesn't work to pay your bill, they charge you $20 to take payment over the phone or you can go online and pay another surcharge for online transactions. So your last resort is to go to the building, you would hope that someone is there during business hours. Wrong! If your looking to spend money and get the run around and a head ache call Public Storage. We are taking our stuff and leaving asap.

Several years ago both the on site staff and cooperate staff where both more helpful and concerned with both their customers and the site itself. The place has fallen into disrepair. I don't even think they leave the office to check it anymore. Broken gutters, wasp nests over some of the storage units, and missing unit signs on a few units also.

I went in to look at a storage unit today and Nicole was very helpful. Great customer service and answered all my questions.

They lie about the $1 first month! Charged me $50 on the 20th and then $180 on the first for a supposedly $187 space!! Then, to top it off, the regular monthly payment isn't the quoted $187, it is somehow $203. I can't trust a business that uses such unscrupulous tactics....can you? Also, they have a large dumpster, that your not allowed to use, as there is a note threateninga $10k fine if you do so. There is no light in the space, and you are NOT allowed to use power. If your needing a climate controlled environment, this isn't the space for you, as it's freezing inside. They will only allow you to store items worth and total maximum value of $5,000.00!! In a 10x20, my sofa was that much, so idk what you could even put in there to warrant that much room, that is valued less than 5k?? Also, the hours of operation are prohibitive. Plus they didn't want to take cash because the lady at the desk claimed the bank wouldn't take large bills?? The only positive is the place is clean. And relatively quiet. I will be leaving this company as soon as I possibly can.
