I wanted to get another smaller unit last week, paid the deposit and went to move in but the space want big enough.
They wouldn’t transfer the money to my other account when I told them that the unit wasn’t big enough. $100.00 bucks down the drain and I’ve paid Public Storage thousands.

Just know that if your stuff go to auction it’s gone the same day. There is no chance for the owner to get their belongings. No call or warning. Rates and lien fees are high. I hope whoever got my stuff is happy. That was my family’s memories. Public storage is all about money. Go to American Storage at least they care about family and give people time to get their stuff or pay for it so it will not be auctioned away. And they auctioned my property on the day of a freaking HURRICANE! They are low down and dirty.

7/1/24 my rate went up again in the new unit. Light STILL NOT WORKING . And now the carts are locked to the railing and are unavailable for use.
Update 12/29/23- today I spent the evening moving from one storage unit which I’ve had for a while to another one just DOWN THE HALL. They would not keep my rate at $123 and it was going to $166 as mentioned below. I go online, get another unit for $1 first month and $64 each month after. Same size unit again JUST DOWN THE HALL. I have my things in totes and on wheels to be ready for the ignorance in the future. So basically they traded $123 a month for now $64. Will update with the next change.
It’s corporate as the ladies working the front are awesome. Also enjoy some photos of the facility they want to charge more and more for but not fix things. Feel free to reach out PS. This can change to a 5 star and deletion of history with a fixed rate 🫡
Update: Today I get an Email saying they’re going to $166. Unless you’re into moving don’t come here as they’re obviously running people away! Many cheaper Avenues. I rarely go to my unit. Lights never on because of me, etc etc. 3rd floor. Down a long haul. They acting like it’s a drive in unit with 20ft on either side
🚩RATES DOUBLE🚩 Been a member here for several months. Rate went from $35 or so to $60 and as of this month $120 AND FOR NO REASON. Lets see how this management handles this and I'll update accordingly

When you call, the prompt tells you to schedule move outs or make payments, do so on the app. I did that and vacated the property on 07/30/2024. I got a call on 08/09/2024 that I owe $320 because I didn’t let them know I vacated. I told the lady that I scheduled it on the app like the prompt said and her response to me was that “no one knew I was vacating”. I told her that if she didn’t get notified by the app, that was HER problem, not mine. I haven’t accessed the property nor had anything in the unit since 07/30/2024. She told me “it looks like someone called you to confirm on the 30th and left a vm”. My response was “ooooooh, so you DID get my vacate request?!” To which she had no response. Their process is trash and after having a storage unit with this location for around 8 years and a public storage unit for over 15 years in total, this is how they treat their customers. 1/5 ⭐️ would not recommend. Use someone else.

Customer Service was great with Crystal at Public Storage on Stough Road. I do have a slight problem. Always needing to use the application to get on the elevator at the facility. I have movers and other people moving things into a second floor Climate Facility. Can I give them access to my code for getting into the facility?
My rate was increased by almost 50% in less than a year .

Update: Well today is 7/28 and I had movers scheduled for 10AM. I get there a little before 10am and none of the elevators are working and not one employee to be found, even though it says the office is supposed to be open. So now I’m out of my deposit money and so inconvenienced because I’m off today and now have to reschedule my movers for Wednesday, when I have to work. I tried calling customer service but the only way to reach them is if you need to rent another unit. I will never use another Public Storage again. And I will tell all my friends and family not to use them either.
When this location first opened it was great. Now they are awful. They never have any carts. They only have 3 carts maybe 4 for the entire building. The app never works to get in and they always only have ONE elevator working. I’m so happy I’m moving my stuff because this will be the last time I ever use them.

The staff at this facility is kind and knowledgeable. The security is amazing and best of all, I can open the gate with my phone!! I’m short, so most of the time when I need to enter a code like needs to be done at a storage facility, I have to put my car in park and open the door to be able to reach the code box but no more of that for me!! Thank you, Public Storage!!

After being a customer for 5 years I moved out on 5/31/24 and went to the office to cancel my contract. She said she would inspect the unit and I should expect a confirmation email that afternoon. I never received the email but I did get a notice on 6/3 that I was charged the regular monthly charge of $253. I contacted customer service and they acknowledged the cancellation and would refund the charge. They only process refunds by check and it takes 6-8 weeks. That’s a great way to treat a 5 year customer when it was your mistake.

Indoor facility is clean and cool BUT there is only 1 dolly to use and no customer service to help at this location. Also only 1 elevator seems to be working.

Unit 2070 still doesn’t have any light it is not safe to visit at night. I cannot see what’s inside the unit and I cannot see what’s around me. It’s not safe. I’ve complained to the office manager since I’ve moved in back in November. We are almost in May and my unit still doesn’t have any light in front of it. It’s not safe for a woman. The rates are ridiculously high. I’m still trying to figure out how I left from 123 to 163. Inflation is already high. Why are they charging the units such high prices I don’t understand but still won’t fix anything outside the unit . Rates are way too high!

This location has the worst management that I’ve dealt with since dealing with Public Storage. The District manager has a really terrible attitude and even worse customer service. Steer clear of this location completely.
Facilities are clean and well kept. Everyone that I worked with both on move in and move out were super helpful,knowledgeable, and polite especially, Keeley. If I need to use any storage in the future it will be with public storage for the simple fact that they are no fuss no hassle.

DO NOT RENT A UNIT FROM HERE. I’d give it a 0 rating if I could. You will not only get your rate increased almost monthly, you can’t use the dumpster when you move out, how does that even make sense, you can’t even be here past 9PM. I have sadly rented a unit here for going on 4 years (THE BATHROOM HAS NOT ONCE HAD HAND SOAP.) Their voicemail box used you tell you they’re dealing with COVID with the utmost importance and to keep the place clean yet they never once stocked the basic essentials of hand soap. The elevator beeps literally the entire time here,
Don’t get me started on management. Once Chris left this place its legitimately like nobody actually works here. Should’ve paid here better because it’s horrendous.

Update upon writing this review I got a text stating a rate decrease has been approved followed by a call from public storage for a decrease from 153 to 137. Not only is that absurd but down right offensive. If I could give zero stars I would.
Don't go here been here 3 years not a short term unit. Price went from 70 to 104 to 133 to now 153. They aren't willing to work with you for long term units there should be separate pricing will be leaving this sad company this weekend and moving to another storage company that actually cares

No customer service at all. Try to hold your items in lien for 1 late payment. Lights are never on. Alarm stays on. Mashed it really creepy, manager never available unless they want to talk to you or your starting your lease. Also you get warnings if you leave after 9 pm. Not everything can be finished in 4 hrs after a full shift of working... I should've looked at the other reviews before renting here.
Great rental staff with nice, centralized location off Rt. 49 in Concord. Rental terms were clear, and payment was automatically deducted from my account. Bring your own locks, because they can be pricy.
I just dont understand why NO ONE is ever there in person! We had a storage unit there we fell behind on. The monday before Thanksgiving we came up there in person to pay because our online account was not letting us sign on. We also called several times that day no one answered. We never could get a return call on our new number we left on the voicemail several times. Our unit had been sold and we didnt even know. We have tried so many times to speak to someone in person and all we get is silence. Inwould love to speak to someone just to try and get my photos back and baby books. We are now honeless and own absolutely NOTHIBG. MY HEART IS BROKEN!
The ONLY reason I’m leaving a 1 is because I can NEVER get anyone. No matter what time I call. I missed their call back a week ago. I've been calling everyday since multiple times a day and no answer or call back. I intentionally deleted my post earlier today and I’ve tried them every hour and I’ve left multiple messages to no avail. However, due to unfortunate circumstances I’m not in town otherwise I would stop by but they call me back2back when I’ve missed a payment even when I’ve told them when I’ll make a payment. I’ve never done business with a company that no one is NEVER available. I do customer service and this is unacceptable. I guess I’ll try again tomorrow and see if I get any luck. Disappointed.

No customer service since change in management. Raise your rent constantly and can't even turn lights on at night. Don't rent here if you need to go to unit after 5. It's pitch black by the so called climate building. Very unsafe.
As storage spaces go, it's fairly nice. Some repairs are needed, like the fence and elevator.

I do want to say I really like the climate controlled units I have, and the process of getting the units was pretty fast and easy. But as for the customer service, it is definitely lacking. Everytime I go in the office when I need something (if I forgot my pass code, need a new key, etc), I feel like I'm bothering them. They always have kind of an attitude.
The very 1st guy who helped me get a unit was super nice, I would love to give him 5 stars if I could. But all the ones after him have been a little abrupt. I also had some issues with paying this month because I lost my bank card/had to get it replaced. So I went to use my Husband's card to pay, and it very clearly took the money from our bank account with no reversal shown, but said it denied payment on their website. I called publice storage to get help, and the lady sounded bothered again, as if I was trying to get my money back and/or not pay. I definitely want to pay and keep my units!! I just can't afford to be charged twice!! Waiting to see if my bank is reversing the transaction, then I'll try to pay again.
Also, I don't know how this could be fixed, but at least half of the time I come to load/unload stuff from my unit, the doorway is completely blocked by movers, and they're using up every single one of the orange carts. So I end up having to carry whatever I can and make 5/6 trips. I know the office doesn't have control over this, it's just a big inconvenience.
Nikki was fantastic to deal with. Needed to fix some issues with a reservation and she was super patient, friendly, and courteous. Haven't experienced those traits in a while regarding customer service!

Love the great deal they use to get you in. “$1 first month rent and save up to 30% after that!” Well it was a dollar, plus a bunch of other fees plus I had to buy their lock for like $20 bucks and now they raised to rent by $30! So don’t save 30%!! Pay $30 more!! Get your vocabulary straight! Moving OUT this week!
Originally got a storage after moving from Charlotte to Winston. Picked Stough Rd Public Storage because it was in-between. Originally a ten by ten unit with insurance was like 125.00 a month. One month later after I moved my things in they went up on the price of the unit to 175.00. Horrible I know! Now that they have me moved in they go up because they know you don't wannaove again. So I keep paying for the unit. 6 to 8 months later I get a email that they are going up again to 225.00 a month. If I've ever seen a scam this is it. They have Lost me and my family as a customer. I will never use Public storage ever again. All o gather is a money hungry corporation that takes advantage of there customers. Good luck public storage. I hope you end up with what you deserve. Just like bed bath and beyond!

They get 5 stars for the location and courtesy but the 1 star is for the price, which is probably more the fault of corporate. I started renting a 10 X 15 unit in April 2020 at $65 a month. 6 months later it went to $75 a month. That lasted 8 months before shooting up to $144 a month. I was good for 12 months before it went up to $183 and now I received notification in January that the rent was going up to $217 so I moved everything out and back into my garage. Fortunately I have some room in my backyard where soon, I be purchasing a 10 X 16 storage shed paying around $95 a month and have it paid off in 4 years. So beware of their constant rate increases.

If you’re in the Concord area this is definitely where you want to store your stuff if needed. The staff is incredibly friendly, the facility is very nice, and it’s well-maintained and clean. Limaoh is super nice and very friendly.
Lamolia is awesome. She is very friendly. She helped us get the proper storage unit we needed and answered all of our questions. She is funny and has a great personality. Highly recommend coming to see her at public storage.

Chris is amazing! She is the manager and will make sure you get the things you need. Do your very best to stay away from the worst cleaning person ever -(Maria) she is rude, unprofessional, disrespectful! I am guessing she doesn't feel good about herself. Interactions with her were limited, however, horrendous to treat customers the way she does. On a good note, this is a great facility! Lamolia and Matt are also just soooo helpful! This place definitely deserves 5 stars! I would definitely use this facility again.

Lamolia Thomas was absolutely amazing! I had a reservation made for 1/8/2022 at the discount rate, when I showed up to get my unit I didn’t know you had to pay for the lock, I didn’t have enough so I asked the first person Maria to hold my reservation until Thursday and I would be back Maria told me no problem I have a note on your account. Showed up this morning and my reservation from 1/8/2022 along with the discount was canceled Maria told me that it was my fault for not having the money. Lamolia Thomas got on the phone with a supervisor and was able to honor my first reservation at the discount rate. She was so kind and friendly and I appreciate her taking the time to making it right!! Thank you so much Lamolia you were a life saver..you just have no idea how much you taking the time with a manger and fixing it saved me the money I needed for diapers and formula until next weeks pay check! 💕💕 never think for one moment what you do doesn’t matter because it does! 💕

Currently having communication issues with onsite managers and preventing me from getting new keys to unit that has my daughters college stuff. Started working on the new lock and keys a week ago. She moved in yesterday with very little.
Great easy customer service
I’m finally free from this storage. There’s a list of issues.
1. My rent was raised 4x in the past year. I went from paying $30 to $90 for a CLOSET storage.
2. Management is trash, they never answer the phone and lacks customer service training. Also , they “convince” you to write false reviews.
3. As much as this property makes by raising the rent constantly, you would think that they would take care of the property but NO, There’s dead roaches and other bugs on the first floor, the elevators are absolutely filthy and the key pad is sticky.
4. This storage has been an absolute pain. Also if you see any reviews saying “5 stars” it’s because Amanda is asking people to leave positive reviews which is definitely an integrity issue.
5. Also, the cost of everything at this storage is sky high, $15 for insurance, $22 for a lock, $15+ fees if you’re late.
6. They’ll pretend to be nice when you’re looking into a storage , once they’ve secured your money , they turn into gremlins.
7. All the positive reviews you see are FAKE! They had a mildew issue simply because management does not patrol or inspect the property, the A/C had to be out for a good week before management did anything about the smell and issue regarding customers stored items.
8. If you’re late they’ll cut your lock off and charge $22 to put another lock on , also they do not issue refunds. Cylinder locks are not even $22 at lowes.
So glad to be done with this terrible storage, I recommend going anywhere but here!
Prices are amazing, location is pretty far but honestly it's worth it! Everyone there is really sweet and understanding! Other than the distance, no complaints!

Spoke with Chris about renting a unit so I can cancel my other one, and the service was super quick and easy, and she was very sweet as well as the new employees! They also looked like they knew what to do which is good work ethic. Not to mention that the units are good in pricing compared to some. HIGHLY recommend coming to Public Storage if you need a unit.

Amanda was very professional went beyond her time. She called me back 3 different times to see if everything was good. When I could not get my email for the e rental she told me to call another number, which I did, the lady at the number I called did not know who job, but Amanda sure did, you need more professional people like her. She makes sure her customers are taken care of. Thank you so much Amanda, when I get to North Carolina I will make sure I thank you in person.

I've been renting my storage unit here for over a little over a year and I decided that it was time for me to upgrade the size of my unit. Andre was very helpful for choosing the right one for us and even showing us the space, we were thinking about getting. He made the process very simple and straight forward and answered all my questions that I asked. Very pleased with this place and their customer service!

I came in about a week ago promised the review for the excellent service that I received but forgot to do it so here I am. Chris was just simply amazing, very warm and welcoming. I wasn't sure on what size I needed but she helped me zero down to exactly the size that would fit my needs. I didn't feel like she was overselling me at all and she sure didn't treat me like a sale, she treated me like a customer should be treated. I've been to many storages in the last month and couldn't seem to make my mind up until I came here. I will be stopping by in the next few days to sign my lease. Thank you Chris for your kind hospitality I will recommend this to everyone I know who needs storage!
I called and spoke with Chris this morning about a unit possibly renting a 10x10. My husband and I are wanting to clean out the clutter. She gave me options for both climate controlled and drive up. She was very knowledgeable and very friendly. Just speaking with her over the phone I could tell how invested in this job she is and how much she cares about her customers. I'm going to talk it over with my husband and if we end up renting it's definitely going to be here, very positive experience thank you so much Chris!
Decent storage facility. Been using the indoor climate control building for 2.5 years. Only complaint is rent has been raised 3 times already with each increase around 25%. To date my rent has gone up an excessive 95% in total from my original move in date of 2.5 years ago. Plan accordingly.
The lights have been out in the hall our unit is on for at least 6 months. I have complained to the office only to be told they have no control over it. All they can do is put in request. I have to bring my own lights to see in my storage unit that I pay 116 per month for. Stopped by the office again Sunday and was told the property manager would reach out but I have yet to hear from anyone The two sets of lights near my unit are all out. It’s pretty ridiculous it has been this way for so long. We stuck with the unit through the mildew issues and you can’t even get us working lights.
