They refuse to do anything with this trash. Why am I opening up my storage unit and there's mice? All this trash!

I wouldn't even give this place one star but its the only option. DO NOT GO HERE !!! They said i would only have to pay 80 dollars a month and each month they raise the price ! Towards the end i was paying 150 dollars a month for a storage unit that was caving in !!! Literally the roof on the inside was falling down and mold all over my things i called them multiple times to have someone go out there and fix it and no one ever did nor did they call back like they said they would. This place is literally horrible. Dont waste your money or your time. They just want to steal your money and dont care about the way your unit looks or your things. Money hungry thats all they are.

Amanda is amazing I bought an auction unit and she couldn’t cash me out at her store because of a system error so she went out of her way and drove to the actual location to cash me out and even went with me to the unit to make sure everything looked good Amazing customer service! Be forewarned they will raise your monthly rate for no other reason than that they can and do . The price for my unit jumped up 70.00$ at one time,that is a huge rate increase and very shady business practices!!! I assume they figure most people will just pay the extortion ( I mean rate increases) instead of going through the trouble of moving their belongings again , I’ve personally talked to 2 other customers this has happened to so it’s obviously a regular thing they do. Other than that I suppose you’ve seen one storage facility you’ve seen them all, I don’t have any complaints about the service or people who work there.

Cost me 600.00 for 10 days of storage because they don't call back. Had no idea the moving company left the lock on the door - they gave me a lock back. I called and of course, you can't speak to anyone - after leaving numerous messages that my items were out of storage, I asked if there was anything else I needed to do please call me back. I was billed for 3 mo., because NO ONE (after 4 messages) called back to tell me there was another lock on the unit. What balcony! If you aren't going to answer your telephone messages, you should get rid of your phone. There are too many other reputable storage places out there. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS ONE!!!!!!

Trash is disgusting. I was never able to reach a property manager nor get assistance when needed on the facility. The best service is when you are scheduling a move in and paying money.

First, the space is supposed to be temp controlled but it’s always humid so we constantly run through damp rids. Second, my rent nearly doubled after a couple of months without any heads up. Third, we were only given one key and unfortunately lost it so needed a lock cut. Luckily we only had to pay for a new lock (lock cut was “free”) and were given two keys this time around. However, getting in touch with property manager has been a nightmare. They never answer and typically call just minutes before they “close” so if you don’t answer, good luck hearing from them again. Lastly, I scheduled an appointment via live chat for the lock cut request and she went to a location 30 minutes from me! Why wouldn’t you expect them to arrive to your storage location? I would move out in an instant if it weren’t for the hassle and knowing we are going to be moving everything shortly. Update: been two weeks, still no lock cut. Been unable to access my unit going on a month now. I did receive a call about my review and complaints but have been unable to address. Going to simply move out and never do business with PS again.

This Public Storage Location is terrible. I closed my account on April 23rd. I continue to receive texts that I am behind on my payments to this day. I have called a dozen times and can never get in touch with anyone. This is proof that using all automation in any business is a terrible idea. I do not recommend using this storage facility.

There is a homeless camp next to this storage facility and the homeless regularly hang out in the parking lot. When I went by today they were drinking and arguing in the parking lot. I rented a unit here 2 weeks ago and will be moving my stuff out tomorrow. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. The fence has been cut in multiple places and the homeless have been inside the fence digging through the dumpsters.

My husband reserved a unit just to show up and it be taken. We were given another unit and weren’t told it had a lock on it. Finally got the unit to discover someone else’s belonging in it as well as a cut lock. We also noticed two guys casing the place while we were there and trying to jump the fence. Once we were transferred to a different unit, the lock mechanism was broken and there was no lock in the unit for us to use. We went back to speak to the fifth person who said since it was the same day, we would get a refund and she was waiting to get in touch with the property manager. When my husband called back the next day, he was told that there was a new property manager and that they didn’t do refund even though the lady we spoke with explicitly told us that we would receive one. The customer service was terrible and the place was completely unsafe.

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS STORAGE UNIT!!!!!!.... My storage unit was broken into items was stolen.My lock was even changed!!!!😤😤.there is no one on site so you have to tlk to a kiosk...🙄 No one has reached out to me. I have left them message after message no return call!!!! This happened March 21,2024......I literally had to catch some one on site to tell them what was going on just for them to tell me there is no cameras on my row...... BEYOND AGGRAVATED!!!!!!! I would give 0 stars but couldnt

I have rented a unit at this location for more than five years. I went to the office the other day as I had some questions only to find they no longer have a live person at this location! So, I called the number for live help and ended up leaving a voicemail. A little frustrated by this time however, I received a callback within 30 minutes from a very nice young lady named Jen. I explained all of my questions to Jen and she was extremely polite and said I will need to make a phone to call to get you the correct information and I will call you back. Jen called back within a few minutes and MADE MY DAY! I have spent a small fortune at this place, but Jen was able to help me with what I needed!!!! THANK YOU JEN!!!!!

Clean facility and great customer service. I would highly recommend for anyone looking for storage.

I had a great experience at Public Storage today. I'm a professional mover and I visit a lot of storage facilities and today could have been one of the worst days, because of the rain, but Jorge (employee) did everything possible to make our job easier. GREAT JOB PUBLIC STORAGE!!!

What a great place! Judy was so helpful helping my mom get set up with a storage space. She was extremely knowledgable and super friendly. Highly recommend this place of business. 12/9/23 - I'm adding my most recent review. This place has completely changed and gone down hill since I made that first review. Everytime I have been there, the office isn't open. I'm not sure if it ever is. Maybe they closed the office there. I had been trying to get someone to call me from that location, because that's the only way apparently to request a move out. I left messages 3 different times during a month span and never received a return call. I ended up calling the 800 number and speaking with a customer service representative. That representative was the one who had to help me schedule the move out and also another helped me cancel the automatic monthly draft on their end. Good thing for me it was only for a parking space. No communication with this local location at all. I wouldn't recommend using them. Very disappointing. Thats why I changed the rating from 5 stars to 1.

Billy was very helpful and contacted me when I missed my reservation. They help me set up a new time straightened the mess I had made of my account(s) and reservation. Great customer service and friendly.

All our things have mold on them so now I have to discard everything. Billy the property manager showed no concern at all.

Only reason I am leaving two stars is not to the fault of the property manager cause she's done what she is supposed to do for us as customers but corporate needs to come in and really replace the outside lights that shine onto the aisles, my pregnant wife has to go by that unit at night and the isle in which she is having to go down is Pitch Black and scares her to death to go down there the safety is a serious issue and with the gate not working half the time we don't know who or who not to be in there. Public storage needs to do better and at least replace light bulbs on the property!

05-15-22 Rented a storage unit online and needed help on the day we were set to move stuff in. Sharon was in the office and helped me over the phone to arrange things. She as a ray of sunshine in the midst of a really horrible morning full of moving issues and made sure everything was set up and ready for when we arrived with the movers. She was also super friendly when I stopped by the office after everything was loaded into our unit. Had a wonderful experience and excellent customer service. Thank you!!

I was renting a 2nd unit from the Weddington Rd location (which only has a self-service kiosk) and could not receive ANY assistance from the online personnel (customer svc or reservations depts). FINALLY, was able to leave a message to have someone locally call me back and Sharon met me at the Weddington Rd the following day to handle our 2nd unit rental. She drove all the way to meet me in person, show me several different units so I could find one that suited my needs and handled all of the paperwork on the spot. She was extremely helpful and friendly. I would recommend Sharon for ALL of my storage needs and wish she was full-time at my Weddington location!

The person working on 4-3-22 was very unprofessional. We were helping a lady move into a unit she had rented unseen. When we got to unit we saw it was too small for her belongings. She was quoted a 10x10 climate controlled unit. When we got there and it was not a roll up door but a walk through into a 9.8 x9.6 unit. Public storage should charge by square footage. When the lady we helped move went to office, she cancelled the unit. The lady working drove up in her personal vehicle ( we thought it was another renter) and stayed in the vehicle and yelled at us to get off property, she didn't ask us who we were. Not professional at all. Very rude and not understanding to the stress of moving can cause people. We ended up renting from a whole different public storage across town

Parking Beware - This location has super unsecured parking, they are aware of monthly break-ins and do nothing about it. Will not give you security footage. Then when you give notice, move out properly they keep trying to charge you even though I have a confirmation email of move out. I think it's internal, happens too often and the staffs response is fishy.
