I rented a large unit in 2020 and recently closed it after moving into my house. Carrol does a great job managing the property and keeping it clean and they recently painted the units as well. I have never had a bug issue or felt unsafe. All of my items are in perfect condition. I recommend this location.

I had an awesome experience with the store managers at the Harrisburg rd public storage Annaleah and Christie was helpful in finding me the right storage space for my stuff.
This place was spotless, and very welcoming. Miss Nina took very good care of me, and was absolutely more than patient in finding a unit that fit my needs. And I must she has to tell me what she cleaned that office with!. Super clean & FRESH!!
However, after they got rid of Miss Nina, the place has never been the same. Every time you call the office, no one picks up and in addition I have utilize the storage for a little over three months because of the convenience in location however, access to the unit has been Challenging because there is no working lighting and several of the buildings and every time you put in a request request you get Pointed into the wrong direction, yet I am liable for my responsibility and paying the unit which is understandable. However, if the unit is not in working condition, what are we paying for?

Update: My RV which was stored at this location was STOLEN. Coincidentally the cameras were turned off only during the time it was stolen. We believe that people that worked at this location were part of stealing my brand new RV.

My wife and I never used a storage company before so we had no idea what the experience would even be like. Heck, we weren't sure we had the right size unit for what we were looking to store.
Nina, working the front desk, came to our rescue. She answered all our questions, showed us different units, gave advice on what to do, what would work vs what wouldn't, all in a calm and friendly manner, putting us at ease as if we were family.

Update: 6/2023- I can never reach anyone in the office. The gate was destroyed (though replaced) and the rent increased AGAIN. OVER $300. YET NO CHANGE IN ACCESS. ITS NOT EVEN TEMP CONTROLLED OR ACCESSIBLE AFTER 9PM. What changes have happened for yet another increase. This to me is crazy. I used to accept this space... but not anymore. Over 10 years and now we are letting go of Public Storage. Clearly they don't honor ppl who have been using their services loyally.

I chose this place due to all the great reviews. Maybe it is usually good and this is just a bad experience for us, I don't know.
We just went up there to take a load into our new unit. The gate to get in was totally battered and clearly had been rammed to get it open. No access code is even needed, you can just drive right in.
Our unit itself is just as bad. The ceiling is falling in and the door is messed up where it won't even close properly. When I rented it, instructions said that the lock provided was 19.99, but that we could return it for a refund if we have our own. Well the door is missing the bottom slider, so we would be forced to use their little rinky dink lock that could easily be picked.
The whole place does not feel secure and I do not feel my belongings will be safe. I sure wouldn't want to be there alone with the gate allowing everybody and their mama in. I truly do not understand why the gate has not been repaired, it should have been handled immediately.
I've requested a refund and plan to go to an actual secure facility. So just, beware. If this is a good location for you, maybe go in and rent face to face where you can see everything before spending any money. I truly hope they get the gate repaired quickly and that unit fixed before trying to rent it out again.

I met with Ms. Sheron Lowe in the office at the Harrisburg Road Public Storage. She was very nice and very helpful when renting my storage unit.
She answered all of my questions when she took me to view the unit. Great customer service all around. It made my experience a lot less stressful when trying to move.

I reserved a unit at this location, and a couple of days after my move in date, I get to the location to see they have every unit under a specific access time. I currently rent a unit with another company that has a mixture of access timed units and 24 hour access units. I reserved the unit at Public Storage, under the impression that the drive up unit I reserved and paid for was 24 hour access. I get to the location around 11pm to move some things in and see that all of the units are behind a gate with access from 6am-9pm only.
I called them the next day, because when I reserved the unit, I didn’t see anything that stated that my unit only had those specific access hours. I asked how to go about cancelling the unit, since I wasn’t going to use it due to the restricted access hours, they told me I still had to pay for the unit, even if I wasn’t going to use it. Now I can see if it had been a week or more into the rental period, but 2-3 days, shouldn’t be an issue. To me, the company must be desperate for money to charge a customer the entire rent, when they’ve never even been to the unit or even seen the unit. I wouldn’t recommend Public Storage to anyone, and this will be my first and last time deal with this company.

I am a current client at the 7000 Harrisburg Road facility. I rarely leave reviews, but was forced to turn to Google as my safety issues don't seem to be a priority for the staff at this facility. I have placed 2 maintenance tickets with separate employees for the lights on the roof of the F units to be fixed. It has been more than 5 months and the lights are still inoperable. When the sun goes down, I literally have to position my car with the headlights on just to have light outside the door of my unit. This storage facility is not in the best of neighborhoods and I should not have to worry while I am just trying to retrieve some items. Last month, the staff was very diligent in calling me for payment, as I was late. I would appreciate the same diligence with maintenance complaints. Safety is a huge concern for me and I would appreciate someone in upper management to address this issue ASAP. Thank you

We bought a NEW LOCK; Used it once, went back to get our storage & used it a second time 2 WEEKS in, & was told we would NOT get a REFUND, & we could not get into the storage for 4 hours 2 weeks later bc the lock AND the door was DEFECTIVE through no fault of ours; which certainly delayed us from leaving, Jenny left & called Lacey & I heard Jenny tell Lacey that the lock was not like that prior to. Well of course it wouldn’t be bc we hadn’t used it!
Lacey with her ‘authority’ said we would have to call a locksmith!
To the tune of $200+ dollars of PURCHASING your lock, insurance, & fees, & through our unseen trouble, we were not compensated for anything & it’s wrong!
You all made us pay for a defective lock, kept our money, & we lost 4 hours of our time trying to get in the lock!
Also, your storage door was very hard to open & I made that clear from the first day that we purchased storage & did the transaction.
I noticed the door issue then.
Jenny did nothing!
She also did nothing the day we were trying to leave!
She left the property after telling Lacey her opinion.
THANK YOU FOR NOT CARING & BAD ATTITUDES, as well as TAKING OUR MONEY!

Personally do not recommend the unprofessional behavior from the property manager Nina. Based on her unprofessional conduct we had to escalate our issue which was rectified by the district manager. We would not rent from this location again.
