I rented a unit for the month of August as I was moving into a new place and Public Storage offered me a 10x10 for a reasonable price. This was my first time renting out a storage unit and they made the process such a breeze. They also helped me after I lost my lock keys and were kind enough to offer a lock cut. They are super helpful and kind!
Orlando was a great help yesterday!! I had an issue on my account and he was able to resolve it quickly, making my life easier. He also works very hard as I see him cleaning the property daily. He is a great help to his customers and public storage!
We just rented a small unit (5x5) about 3 months ago. It's a nice facility. But we just received notice of a 43% rent increase taking effect in 30 days. That's absurd. The best that they could offer me is holding the existing rate for 3 more months. But the new rate ($84 per month) is ridiculous for a 5x5 closet. We're moving out. From the looks of the reviews below, this is standard practice. So I wouldn't believe the pricing that you're quoted when signing will last longer than a few months, and then you'll get a huge price increase. I guess they expect that you'll just accept the increase rather than going through the hassle of retrieving your belongings.
The space itself is good, and location is close enough, but can't ever reach anyone locally and calls/voicemails are not ever returned. Need to chat with a human at the local level and that seems to be impossible. To be clear...there has NEVER been any employee onsite when we've been, and calling ahead means nothing if no one answers the phone...ever...or ever returns calls.
Wanted to thank Orlando at the Public Storage at 500 Myrica St. in Chapel Hill. After a glitch on my end, he walked me through the process and helped me out. I really appreciate when people take the time to help out like he did! He made a life long customer out of me.

The staff is very nice. She took us to see the size of the storages and explain all the policy in detail. The whole process was very smooth. Also, they provide free cart and waive first month insurance. The price is good as well.

Great facility and staff. Absolutely horrendous pricing practices. We rented two units, and within the first six months of signing, both have had price increases—25% on one and 29% on the other. Over the years, I have rented storage units from a number of different providers (to include other Public Storage locations), and this is the only location where rental price has been increased in less than a year from signing. It's a very deceptive practice in that you rent at a given price that is very quickly raised after you have moved your items into storage.
I came in to look at storage units...and ash was very helpful. She explained what the cost would be and helped me pick a storage unit that would be ideal for me. Very highly recommend coming in and speaking to ash. She will take care of all your newds

Miss Kimberly is a wonderful asset to this company. I have rented on and off over the years at different locations and she has been at two Jones Ferry rd and now this location. She is always helpful, knowledgeable, professional, and knows the property and units. Miss Kim explained the rental agreement,prorated amount and insurance. She is the reason I would recommend this location to someone.
Recently rented multiple units at this location and had an overall terrific experience. The manager Kim, was exceptionally customer focused. Additionally, she maintains the facility better than any other facility I have rented from.

When I first went in I was a little nervous as I had never rented a storage unit before but Kim was amazing. She relieved all of my worries and also took me to see the different size units before I made a final decision. This location is very clean as well, and it has easy drive up access with many carts that are available to help with moving.

Update: People were LIVING IN storage units!!! And smoking, apparently meth, inside. The main entrance doors were stuck open ALL night long on 2 occasions, I can only assume because they were manipulated by people living there?& now after only 6 mos, our unit is going up from $112 to $141. Employee Ashley who was there in August was great but is either no longer there or rarely there & the person there now showed zero concern when I let them know a side door was propped open & I suggested they watch surveillance tapes to find out what was going on.
Kim at public storage was fantastic. Helpful. She was knowledgeable, kind and helpful. The facilities here are great. There are plenty of cards for use when you're moving in and out. The elevators are operational and quick. Plus the items were safe here for the time that we needed them to be here.
