Jeanette is so amazing I have talked to 11 people and in second she has totally executed my problem I had with getting I had no idea what was going on with my account trying getting frustrated considering my whole thing with getting a storage in the first place because I I'm looking for a place to stay I don't have any extra money to pay fees that are accumulating while I'm trying to figure out what's all the fees for she's amazing she smiles she has a great attitude I will be going to that location from here and out and I live about 30 minutes away and I must say Ben the district manager he has answered the phone for me every single time he would say how he would and could do all he can. NEGATIVE NOT TEYE! he made me pay the only $200.00 I had I was living in my car and shelter for a bit only to get the little money I had to hopefully save my storage…that’s hurtful to myself and my children lost everything I mean everything I paid so much money Over time the shelter Dakota woodlands by the way is a bad place to get help. No help abusive takes your income not a good place the shelter that is gas well great attitude he also agreed to help with my situation. Liar We lost everything customer service don’t help either so horrible to rent from GO ELSE WHERE OH YEA AND ALL OR 1/2 of my things were ruined anyway from being cold and animals and rats all over everyone’s storage get the inside storage places you will pay for things that are all damaged if it’s there long enough to all with respect just wants thank you to all so so much thank you so much.. you guys way to go teamwork makes the DreamWork. Lacking all that’s needed…sucks shit it down scammers prices change every 2 weeks..

I came to Minneapolis for the weekend and needed somewhere safe to keep my boat & it was super easy to check in, the reason why I was so impressed to leave a review is I forgot to cancel the monthly membership and when I canceled after they already charged my card, they returned the money. I did not even ask them to do this, it was very refreshing to see a good company like this

The price was amazing and the booking process was so easy. I was able to do everything online and when I got to the storage place I figured it out mostly on my own without asking for help. It did take me a minute to figure out how to use the code and the button and the elevator situation but we got there. They have carts to use to haul stuff which is a lifesaver. I like the location right off of 280 It's easy to get to parking is super easy. I was able to pay for a lock the insurance is added on unless you want to show that you have your own. Units are climate controlled. I have a 10x10 and I don't like to pack my storage units because I want to get in and move around and that size fits all my camping summer winter gear art stuff a little bit of extra furniture, bikes, a lot of extra clothes and it was $10 cheaper than a 5x7 unit of the other places I was looking at. I did go in and ask about pulling into the offloading section and getting out of the gate and the girl was super friendly and explained to me how it works. My only complaint is I have the app and there is supposed to be like some beacon that allows you to open a gate from your phone but it does not work for me. It just always says out of range. I don't really care because I just punch in my code (and you'll punch in your code a lot but it's for security purposes and once you get The hang of doing it over and over it is seamless).
Positives: Great customer service. The person who helped me at the front desk was very helpful.
Negatives: The price was way more expensive than advertised. There are also rarely enough carts available for hauling which has been a bit frustrating.
The best staff. Always friendly and helpful. I wish they were open later but it’s way better than others!

After being frustrated with my storage rate going up over the year that I’ve had it from $70-$152. I simply called to ask how much notice I had to give if I was going to move out of my unit and possibly to another storage facility…
Jeanette (sp??) Went above and beyond when I only called to just ask that one question and hang up. Jeanette not only answered my questions but she was able to help me get a new storage unit for $67; the same size and at the same location. All I had to do was switch from the unit I was currently in to another one.
She could’ve just answered my question and hung up, but she took the time to understand what was going on and what was important to me/my needs. She even let me take a day or two to think about it but put notes in on my account if I decided to go with her suggestions (which I did).
Let me tell you, she was SO helpful and went above and beyond that she actually made me more upset with how poor of customer service I received later in the week from a bank I was dealing with. As I left Wells Fargo I was thinking, “They need Jeanette here because she’s helpful and cares and these women are the complete opposite!!!!”
She even went above and beyond at showing me the new storage unit during a downpour.
I know I am a customer who has only had a couple interactions with her, but I will be a reference for this woman because she knows customer service. Any company would be lucky to have her working for them. Public storage, you better give her a raise. Or let her run a property. Because she’s a good one, and you are lucky to have her.

Worked great, nice and easy
I rented space in this UHAUL Public Storage. I found it to be an excellent space. The staff and management are very collegial, supportive and multicultural in their attitudesand interactionswith clients. I kept lots of books in the storage and they remained in very healthy condition with no damage because of whether temperature or pets.
Public Storage in my assessment performs important function in people's lives as they go through life transitions. Although it is a business, I want to stress the social function of the public storage. I am very grateful for their service. Try them if you have need.

We just rent a space here and Jeanette is warm, and professional! We are not sure about the size suits our needs so we ask for a tour first. Then she helps us finish reserve and set things up! Would definitely recommend this place!
Great customer service and suppoty
Public Storage: they’re a chain business that I feel is purposely sneaky but they were they do their introductory/New renter move-in specials.
I’m giving a voice star just because these moving specials do not inform us of when rates will be hiked up only that Public Storage is allowed to raise prices whenever they want for however much they want and all they have to do is give you a 30 day notice. I like transparency not deception and I feel like because that was put in the fine print of these awesome offers to get people to come rent an empty room that we fill with our own personal belongings (and it frustrates me because they know they can do this stuff because they hold our valuables basically at ransom)
With that said, that is my issue with Public Storage as a business entity and the way they go about it. But I have had a unit at this specific location for just under a year (maybe?), and I will admit that I like this location.
I live downtown Minneapolis and my partner lives Midway District (sort of near planned parenthood), and from either location is just so easy to get to this location. I like it it’s right off of Highway 280 and that the specific road that it’s on is really only used for people who store their belongings at Public Storage so it’s not a busy road.
The drive-in carport area is wonderful if it’s either pouring out or if it’s freezing and/or snowing out (It definitely provides a nice temperature buffer and gets even warmer/temperature controlled as you go into the facilities itself so I would say the carport somewhere in between)
You can manually input your code to gain access or you can stay in your car and drive up next to their receiving post and do it in the app without having to open the door rule on the window ! So admittedly that would be one of my favorite features!
I don’t really have anything to say about the staff who worked there I’ve signed up online and I’ve never really had to work with any of them so I don’t have any bad experiences with them but I just don’t have any experience with them at all.
(**warning!** assuming not just the center but Public Storage is in general are strict about their closing time. at 9 PM when this business close is your access code stops working! You need an access code to enter the carport and then to use the elevator to go up — you do not need a code to come back down the elevator or to exit the doors on foot… But you do need to use your code to open the carport to leave… So if your car is still in that carport at 9 PM then you are locked IN!
You can still walk out because there is a door for just a person‘s body… And I will say there is a number that you can call in these types of emergencies, but it took me and this other couple (who also did not realize this would happen when we all tried to leave at 9:01 PM) 45 minutes to an hour of being on hold trying to connect with somebody to then be able to relay our information and then they unlocked it remotely
I’m not saying that Public Storage shouldn’t do this but they should be a little bit more… Again here’s my thing with transparency… More upfront about you will get locked in due to access codes being turned off during after business hours. )
But I feel like my stuff is secure there the bathrooms are clean it’s always a plus if you need to use the restroom after moving stuff all day!
Reason why I’m not giving the five is not really because of this one location specifically what because of public storages policies and prices and wishing it would be a little bit more upfront about some of their business tactics— but would still recommend this location to whomever wants/needs to store their belongings off site)

Came in to ask questions about space sizes and Jeanette was phenomenal! I tried to catch her off guard with a multitude of random questions about different aspects of storage agreements and she didn't miss a beat! Throughout my time there with her she made me feel like a valuable customer, even though I didn't end up renting yet. She is an asset to your team and shows that she does care about the customer and the overall experience. She didn't seem distracted or inconvenienced by me taking up her time. That's a big deal for me as I've had some negative experiences at other locations where I felt like I was interrupting their day, but not here! Thank you for a great interaction.

We were doing a home renovation and just needed a little extra space to store some of our things. This facility was a great choice. It was always clean. Their app Makes access super easy. Never had any issues coming or going. Would highly recommend this location.

The staff were all super helpful and friendly, and the space was clean, organized, and felt very secure.
Others have indicated that Public Storage engages in bait & switch tactics and I have found this to be true. When I moved in they claimed they did not have the unit I reserved (even though I spoke with them on the phone the day before). They put me in a larger unit and told me I would pay the same price. That was a lie. They have aggressively increased my rent over the past two years by $113/mo (200% increase). They do not care about their customers but rather take advantage of them.

Easy to get into, and everything expected from a storage unit. However, within 6 months I have already experienced a break-in with my unit, and they have attempted to raise my rent. Their business model is to get people in and then raise rent continuously.

My unit was broken into, as well as several units in my row. My stuff was trsshed. A form will not bring back my family heirlooms and what they meant to me. I thought this place was super secure and that is not the case.

It was so much easier to find my unit at the one off of Como and 280 I went to another one and it was difficult to find the unit I was going to get and the hours to access my unit work much better than the other location I really like the one off of Como and Jeanette was helpful and answered all my questions I would for sure recommend the one off of Como to anyone that is looking for a storage unit.

I've had an overwhelmingly positive experience here. I chose to manage everything via the app, and every interaction with the staff has been both helpful and kind.
The pricing is reasonable. I'd recommend potential renters to use their website to compare their other storage facilities within the vicinity.
One gripe I have is the challenge of getting a cart/dolly, which can make loading and unloading difficult. I've encountered this issue at virtually every storage unit or apartment complex I've previously rented so I'm not docking stars for this but I'd definitely appreciate if they added more carts/dollies.

Maria was an angel with helping me. I came in a minute after close and she was nice enough to help me. I had wanted to see some of the storage unit sizes. She guided we through units and I decided on one I liked. It was about 6:20pm at that point (20 mins after close) and she was more than happy to get me the unit today. Her main priority was me and I definitely saw that. She explained what to expect with getting the unit, rules, insurance and so on. At no point during our interaction did she ever make me feel rushed. She was magnificent. She made me have the most personable experience. I’m definitely going to stop in the leasing office next visit to tell her this in person. I only hope to find more people in customer service like her.

Be ware of your autopay, they will tell you everything is alright over the phone (twice) to later on charge you a late fee because they didn’t informed me well that my bank reversed the transaction which is instant!
Basically ended up paying for the management mistakes of the lack of information over the phone yet they didn’t want to reverse my late fee they cause me to have.
This Public Storage is extremely overpriced & puts their customers last on the list compared to their profits & less than desirable rules that they enforce with an iron fist.
Long-ish backstory: I opened my storage unit back in Summer of 2022, I think it was August…. I was never made aware of the hours I was allowed to be there nor given a tour, or any other typical ‘welcome’ a storage facility should provide. So, when I was moving my things in I stayed a few minutes later than the hours of business and didn’t find out until the third email notification was sent. They then took it upon themselves to limit me to ‘business hours’ (I am only allowed to be there until 6, while everyone else is allowed until 10PM). They put this limit on my account, in September 2022 & I am just now being notified about this in June of 2023, despite inquiring multiple times about why I was getting randomly locked out many hours before the facility closed… and either nobody at the facility/call center knew about this limit or they just felt that it was not pertinent information.
So I’ve been paying the full price all this time and getting about 1/3 less time than anyone else at the facility, unknowingly (until today… when I called the property manager and spoke with her and she revealed this information to me….. only 9 months late.)
***I should have been given notice of this decision to drastically limit my time for my storage unit- immediately when it happened… because I would have taken all my belongings and brought them to a different facility and would have been treated ten times better than I’ve been treated at the Hunting Valley Road Public Storage.***
Keeping your customers in the dark on matters that directly affect them, their belongings, their pocket books and most importantly, THEIR TIME, should be illegal. This is a terrible way to do business and an awful way to treat paying customers.
I was searching for an affordable and big enough storage unit for my valuables in between moving locations.
I just want to thank Tony, for his superb customer service and patience with setting me up with the right storage solution. Kyle and Madi for going the extra mile careful attention to details.

This location is easy to get to and is right off 280. We got a 5’x10” space on the 4th level. The loading bay and carts made it easy to manage the transfer of storage from our car to the unit and it was very clean. The employees (Kyle & Jeanette - I apologize if I misspelt any names) were extremely helpful, informative, and nice. I also had my insurance include the unit for coverage and they sent my proof of insurance to PS, which prompted Mista to call me and walk me though how to cancel the automatic insurance in the phone app to avoid being charged for the second month(first month was free to provide enough time to get other coverage, if needed). I’ve had a great experience and would recommend this location!

I’ve had the storage unit for 1 year, and every few months they raise my rate 20%. I was initially paying $60/month and now I am being charged $100/month. They use a bait and switch model to get you in the door, and then raise the rates because they know it is difficult for folks to move units. Folks at the location have no ability to change rates as they are all driven by corporate.

I've never stored stuff before. In fact, I always thought it was a symptom of the American consumeristic sickness that we have so much stuff we need to have huge buildings to store our extra stuff. But during a recent move I found myself here, setting aside things too clunky or bulky or fragile to be boxed or wrapped.
I'm totally won over. My short (2-month) rental was perfect, the access app was seamless, and you can tell the people who run this place take pride in making sure everything is kept up to the highest standards. Even their restrooms were clean, the soap dispenser never ran empty, and the hand dryer worked great -- don't we all kind of assume that this won't be the case?
Just because of how great this place was, I'm thinking about renting a place year-round for Christmas ornaments, tomato cages, lawnmowers, or whatever other things I have that I don't need for the season. I guess that means I caught the sickness after all.

So far its going great! Good move in deals. Feels very secure. Unload area was busy but indoor, clean, and plenty of space/carts. The sixth floor was a bit hot but still much cooler than outside. Plenty of space in parking area outside of gates, office with supplies, and bathrooms for customers provided.

I LOVED THIS PLACE. Let me tell you I have been in fancy and shady storage places and this by far was the best experience. Brand new building with great access and security design. Wonderful garage entry. Easy to use apps. GREAT STAFF!!!! So sad to see my favorite Elias go he was my go to for anything. Importantly things were clean clean clean. I would say 90% of the time a cart was always available for me to haul things and other guests were always nice to return when done.

I had to get a storage unit for my furniture between leases. One of the employees, Justus, showed me several units and answered all my questions in detail. We were able to find a nice unit with easy access for our truck. Another employee, Jeanette helped me reserve and book the unit, making sure we got the lowest price. The location is perfect for someone living in the twin cities area. Easy to get to, plenty of parking, and drive up entrance. Hard to find a cart to transfer boxes. The carts are not hard to find, there are locked up to the wall. Took ten minutes to get a key with one person working in the office. I asked why are the carts locked up? The response was it’s a new corporate policy. Okay now each visit has added twenty minutes of inconvenience. Oh, in addition to the price increases makes me want to reconsider this rental.

Pleasant staff, got a storage unit just the right size. Very secure, nice place.
For an entire year, I ended up not using part of my storage unit despite paying $50+ per month, and after a year, it was going to be increased to $60+ per month. During a quick phone call, a staff member promptly suggested that I could move to the smaller unit so I can save half of my monthly cost. That's exactly what I needed.
It was still during the cold winter, and I had to move from one storage building to another, but the move was seamless. Both staff members that helped me were very knowledgeable and kind. I'd highly recommend this Public Storage location.

Had a great experience with this Public Storage location. Rented 2 units for approximately six months. Units were clean when I got there and clean when I came back. Customer service was great - the people at the front desk were friendly. When I came in to cancel my rentals I needed my locks cut off because I had forgotten my keys 1,000 miles away. The front desk got a hold of the manager and he was able to help me at about 6 pm. Would use again!
It was a great experience; Jeanette, the storage manager explained everything clearly and in the most friendly fashion, then she walk me through the steps and completed the rental agreement and showed me the unit in a most helpful manner. I wishes all businesses did business like this.

It's cheap, especially when you compare it to u haul down the road. The staff is very helpful and I've never had a bad time with the traffic in or out of their loading dock. They have electronic locks that are great so you can use your phone as a key
My boyfriend and I just signed a rental agreement for a unit yesterday. Jill was so incredibly helpful and answered all of our questions. She showed us multiple units and made sure we understood everything. The buildings, units, and bathrooms are very clean. I would highly recommend going to them!

The newer building is clean, and secure enough. The older building will require extra locks and for you to be cautious. Overall I am happy with my experience. My stuff is safe and clean. I don't think the price increase this year was necessary. I hope it went to the staff. I wish the scrappers weren't aloud to use the garage bay as an actual garage as much as they do.

They have a variety of units to pick from to fit any of your needs, and i love that they offer a controlled temperature option for storing so that is a huge plus!! at this location it was recently renovated and the new addition has new features that make it easier for you to access your unit from your phone! (a plus since covid is still very active) anyway I highly recommend this location, lastly the staff is very helpful and friendly! 10/10
This location is perfect! It's in an easily accessible place, it's always super clean and the employees are great. The store manager was quick to help me with a stuck lock after hours and didn't seem at all bothered by it. All around great place for storage
