Have rented a storage unit here on-and-off a couple times over the past few years. Today I decided to downsize my unit, and to my surprise the process was super simple. Dorothy at the front desk was super helpful and made it a quick and painless experience!

Dorothy, the facility manager, was friendly and accommodating! Best part of the experience! The check in and rental process was straightforward and easy. I didn't realize that insurance was needed in order to rent, so that's an unexpected $15/month. On top of a $38 storage unit, that's almost a 50% increase in monthly cost. I wish it would have been communicated earlier that insurance was mandatory... Not sure if I will keep the unit.

Convenient place to have a storage unit in St. Louis Park. We used a unit here for a year and it felt very safe, secure, and never had any issue the entire time. I love the Public Storage app feature to get into/out of the gates. When vacating the property, Dorothy was wonderful to work with!

Mixed results. The staff are decent people, and after a situation where I found the unit I reserved online wasn't suitable for use and the advertising was misleading, they followed up promptly and agreed to fully refund me. If you intend to go with the Public Storage company you should be aware that A.) the customer service online is useless and you need to contact the number on the door of the office where you are renting. B.) there are multiple add on fees currently it is about $30 up front non-refundable processing fee, $20 deposit for the lock. C.) after the first 30 days you will also be charged an extra $15/month unless you prove you have insurance to cover the belongings in your unit D.) EVEN if it is marked as an inside unit it is not climate controlled and the same types of bugs that might be able to get into the outdoor drive up (garage style) units can easily get into the inside units. If you wouldn't store it in a garage don't store it here. If you do notice bugs in your unit don't be afraid to call the office immediately so they can send out pest control and save all the rest of us from dealing with the bugs getting into cardboard boxes that you plan to later bring into your house.
As I said it is a mixed bag of results the business model is a little weird, but the people that work here are decent humans.

Great location, no ethics. Prices raise every 6 months until you move out. People next to me in the same size pay less. Might be based on ethnicity? They are corporate owned and skirt the issue. People working locally are friendly but have no control. I started at $150/month, within 3 years it's now $350/month! Told me to send a letter to the PO box if I had a complaint on pricing.

Manager was on her way out to lunch when j came to retrieve units I won in auction and she told me she.was going to lunch so I'd have to wait an hour....so unbelievably unprofessional ..UNREAL!!! Very streamlined experience. We rented in person but I'm confident that online, no-contact would have been just as easy. All details were emailed and the lock was inside the unit.

I would not recommend this location. The staff was polite and helpful however there have been several major issues in this complex that I did not feel were addressed appropriately. In the last 6 months my rate increased 20+% to its price when I started renting a space.
Several months ago there was a fire in the building of my unit. Fortunately, a firewall separates my unit from the fire however imagine my shock showing up to see cleaning crews and movers in my building and finding out from them what occurred. I was told they only notified impacted units however sending an email to all complex tenants to inform them of the situation and explain that work crews could be expected to be on the property should be standard practice. I’m addition, many of my belongings smelled off after this incident.
Lastly, my unit was broken into in the last week. The lock was cut and my belongings rifled through. I understand that this is a risk that is taken but I did not receive a phone call or notification that my unit was impacted and I expect that the remainder of renters will not be informed of the situation on the property. This is incredibly poor business practice and renter beware that security is a concern as the office staff told me most units in my hallway experience the same lock cutting and theft but no one seemed to be actively pursuing a resolution. I moved my belongings out today and will not be recommending this location going forward.
Had my lock cut and all of my belongings stolen! Really unfortunate situation.

Warning to others considering this location: my rates went up 60% in one year, forcing me to move my belongings to another storage facility. If the rate increases were reasonable (10% ish a year) I would have stayed because I did like this location, the app the company offers is handy, and I do not like moving my stuff year to year. But the price became way above market rate, which given my unit was located in far back in one of the worst spots in the complex I really could not understand. This was my first experience with a storage facility so maybe they're all like this, but this one for sure will price gouge you so I would stay away.

I work for a moving company and while trying to service a customer I slipped and fell multiple times on the ice rink that is this storage facility, there is obviously no care whatsoever for ice build up, please be careful with this specific location

This is the second storage location we've tried to rent from, and I'm so glad we went with this one instead of the first one! The office was easy to find and signing up was painless.
