I've had a great experience with Public Storage. The facility is well-kept and climate-controlled, which gives me peace of mind knowing my belongings are safe. I rent a 5x5 storage unit, and it’s been perfect—spacious, well-lit, and impeccably clean. The app is a fantastic feature that makes managing my unit a breeze. I can easily pay my bill, access the door locks without memorizing a code, check facility hours, and take advantage of a few other neat features. It's a convenient tool that enhances the overall experience. Signing up for the service was incredibly easy and completely contactless. I appreciated being able to use my own lock and even received a credit for returning the one provided. The staff at the facility have been consistently friendly, courteous, and helpful with any questions I've had. Overall, I couldn't be more satisfied with my experience at Public Storage. Highly recommended!

Jim is the best employee to ever exist. He goes above and beyond. The storage place closes at 6pm and we got there at 6:06pm. Jim let us come in and put our stuff away, even though they just closed. He saved us so much time and stress because of this. 10/10

I recently relocated to Minneapolis from another city, and my experience with the Public Storage location at 424 N. 3rd Ave in the North Loop has been nothing but amazing. The manager, Jim is the nicest, most helpful person. He made this a very easy process for a newbie to the area. The facility is super clean and well maintained, and security is very tight. I can definitely recommend this location to anyone who needs storage in that area of town. My only criticism for this particular location, even though every single entrance and the elevator are coded, so it’s very secure, you can’t get access at all unless the office is open and staffed, and they open very late and close very early. 9:30 am to 6 pm. Given the area, right by Target field, it’s understandable, but knowing the requirement for constant staff presence in order for customers to access their bays, it would be more convenient to have extended hours. All of the area high rises only allow move ins Monday-Friday from 8:40-4:30. So in order to thread that needle of people reserving move in days and times, it would work better to be able to start loading in much earlier in the day.

You will find someone at this location 👍 at least every time I've been there , The location that I was assigned to no one was (NEVER).

We used this storage space for a few years and had a great experience. Move-out day was stress-free thanks to Roshanda. She was very helpful and friendly.

The service I received started before I walked into the facility. Jim called the day after I went online to reserve a unit. He called me at a busy time at work. I had him a speaker while I talked to a coworker on the work phone, and my manager had just walked in to my office. I told him to hold on, but I'm there. He said"ok I'll just shut up till you're done". Everybody in the office died laughing. We needed that, it was an intense start to the day. His statement was soooo funny and no one was ready for it. The next day I arrived. He was super kind, knowledgeable and explained everything clearly. I love meeting REAL people. Down to earth and chill. You sir are a pleasure.

Roshanda was very helpful and considerate of my needs. I just left Extra Epace Storage because they seemingly went up every 3 mnths. I went from. $69 to $116 a mnth which was very extensive from a year ago went I first started renting from them. I appreciate Toshandas attentiveness to my needs.

This Public Storage is a really good place to store. I'll start by mentioning the service and staff. Everyone who works on site is incredibly nice and helpful. Specifically Jim, who has helped me countless times and has bent over backwards to make sure my storage experience went smoothly. Seriously, Jim makes the place a 5/5 on his own. The facility is very safe and secure. Everything is locked with a personal code. The building is peppered with maps so you can't get lost. The only downside of this specific location is the drive way is on a one way street, which can make it difficult to access your first time there. But there is a second back gate. Otherwise, this place is a 5/5. 100% recommend. Thanks Jim <3

Staff were patient courteous and interested in the customer being happy with their experience. On the other hand I lost my storage due to quite the misunderstanding on storage price. I asked if only I could have my personal papers, husbands death certificate and my family photos and no one would call me back regarding this request . When you lose everything you own your tax papers and sentimental items should atleast be returned. Persons that our hase your storage I am sure have no needs for your personal items. I was very disappointed that corporate neither the store were willing to hear about or address my concern just no return calls period!!

The manager, Calicee, does an excellent job managing the building and is very helpful with any questions/concerns you may have. Carlos is also a friendly face on the staff. Building is kept clean, riff-raff to a minimum, and it's a secure, quiet place to store your stuff. Ending the contract was a breeze, too, and I had no issues while renting a unit there. I would rent from them again.

My advice: find a different place to get a storage space!!! This one is absolutely terrible!!! Customer Service is absolutely non-existent. Even during open hours the office is always locked and there are never any employees around to help you with anything you need. The carts are locked up. Without a customer service person to help, you can't use them. I called four times during office hours asking for help. I left messages all four times. No one called me back.

Thought we had 24/7 access but guess not.

Gotta be the worst storage space ever

I think im being scammed. I went on the internet for a deal on storage place. and they told me I got one for $24 a month. So I went their and rented one. the next month instantly it went up to 38 dollars. And now it's all the way up to 54 dollars a month. Stays firm in the price that the price is not supposed to change.

I have video footage of Lisa the disrespectful lady who locks the office doors and sits on her phone, going off on customers for public storage’s faults. They do not take care of ice causing slips and falls. They do not have karts for items. They block the garage door closed so you have to use the small entrance door for all your things and most things do not fit through that. Traumatized by this experience! Currently being harassed by a mentally unstable lady that works here named Lisa. Do not go here for storage. Do not go to the sister property either! I was told by the corporate office to call the district manager after speaking with corporate office reps and he has not returned my call.

Upon move out there was no staff so I was unable to get a cart, making move out very difficult/impossible with heavy things. It's unclear how you close an account and get confirmation of it without any staff and I couldn't get any information on it from the website or from calling customer service. The price is cheap but it was reflected in the experience. One property manager split across the two Minneapolis locations.

Very secure but a lot of homeless people hang out out front.

two people were in the office threatening to kill each other and screaming at the top of their lungs. Office staff were trying to calm them down. From what I gather they were arguing over a storage unit. We left in a hurry.
