Only negative was that every time I would go to pick up or drop off an alarm was going off inside the building. I was told that is going to be fixed. Starting and ending service was simple. Clean, well lit and easy access. Everything I would want from a storage unit.

Renters beware....... Your items are not as secure as you might believe..... I had items stolen from a storage unit and found out little to no action is being taken to help solve this..... You are lead to believe it is high security, top notch facility....security codes, cameras, etc. FAKE CAMERAS!...... REALLY!!!!! A Company / Corporation with FAKE security Cameras?!?!? In these modern times, and that's what you offer to your customer's? Bright Orange Facility...clean environment, climate controlled....and you package all that glamor, but your cameras are FAKE?!?!? Renters beware! Multiple phone calls, phone calls from Law Enforcement....and they all are ignored!..... Don't be fooled.....YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN IF A PROBLEM LIKE THEFT HAPPENS TO YOU!!!!! THEY WASH THEIR HANDS OF YOU REALLY QUICK! This place is about as secure as a dumpster at a section 8 housing facility.

If I could give less than one star, I would. Your rates will double. I started at $138/month, and then it went up to $151, then $183, then $213, and then they wanted to raise it again. The bigger kicker is someone BROKE IN to my unit, stole several thousands of dollars of items, and Public Storage has done nothing about it. When I asked if they had time to review the cameras the next day, the employee said she hadn't had time yet (while she was sweeping the floors). So just know the floors take priority over your belongings. Also, I found out after the fact that most of the cameras are fake. So don't be lured into thinking your stuff is secure- you pay a premium for what you are led to believe are security features, when in reality, they don't care. District Manager Ben won't even answer his phone or return your calls when you try to get in touch with him. I have never seen a business care as little about their customers as these people. Don't trust them, don't rent there, and certainly don't ask for help if a problem arises.

Was a great spot while it was STOR; now that Public Storage has taken over our price doubled in about a year. Despite being a customer for 3+ years Public Storage is offering our same size unit to new customers for 1/3 the price we’re paying. Highly recommend looking elsewhere, otherwise prepare to be baited with a low price only to have it increase on you every year.

Pro: the app is user friendly Con: Rodents got in my stuff! I had mice feces in a handful of my boxes. Had a nest in one of my boots. They chewed a large hole in a favorite sweater of mine that I got in Ecuador. Be prepared to have critters invade your space! Con: Price hikes! Started my unit in March @ $65. In May I received a notice it was going up to $110. I wish I would have asked about rate hikes when before signing the contract. Con: Every time I went there no one was in the office. Just a sign that said Sorry...short staffed. I would def looked elsewhere for a storage unit.

Just had the opportunity to tour Public Storage in Inver Grove Heights with Shannon. She was delightful, informative, and very friendly. She answered our many questions throughly. She made sure that we found the right storage space for our needs. Would highly recommend. She’s and asset to your company.

I had to relocate my RV. Shannon was terrific in working with me to select a new location. She walked me through the process which made everything seamless. I was grateful for her professionalism in renting my new space.

They send my account to collections i never even rented a space the same day i canceled my reservation. Beware beware beware they will send u to collections over any amount ! Give me a goodwill deletion of this matter now please ! I was told i had no bill in the first place who wouldnt pay 29.00 that is insane ! Please take care of this matter someomes credit is no joke !

The facilities are good but the company keeps automatically raising rates. I've had three rate increases in a one year time frame. $424/mo. This rate is wild and unsustainable for a 20x10 storage unit. Buyer beware. They will raise rates multiples times once you get all your stuff in the units. Public storage has become a monopoly and they are buying out all of the competition while raising the rates. I think I learned about this in ECON 101. Price fixing.

After moving items into unit for only a few months they decided to raise my rent by over $40 a month, again without notice. I will now have to figure out moving my stuff again after only having the unit for 3 months and due to “corporate decisions” and my contract being month to month they can change it at any time, BEWARE before renting here!

Absolutely abysmal experience. Non-existent, incompetent staff, limited hours, constant rate increases. I wish you could leave zero stars. I have 3 spaces here and it would be cheaper to buy land and build my own building.

Probably one of the cleanest Public Storages I've been to. Large facility. Very nice building manager.

If I could I would give this place zero stars, it has roaches, rats and bugs everywhere. Right when I saw them I emptied out my storage unit and I only been here one other time good thing my storage unit was pretty emptied and for paying extra for climate control it’s over 100 degrees in there

I moved out of this public storage on August 5, 2023. I placed the bottom part of dining table by the front entrance for few minutes and when I came back it was gone. I’ve been calling their office and call center last 5 days and did not get any help. I spoke to the property manager and left her a voicemail and didn’t hear back from her. They’re only good at collecting money from you but not help you.

I had a terrible time trying to return packing supplies. I had difficulty finding a location with an employee. I went to two separate locations and was treated with a QR code. The posted hours seemed to indicate the place was open. I was to the point I wasn’t sure there were employees. I’m pretty sure they never offered my husband a receipt. You have to have an account or receipt to return. All the competition has a very clear return policy and this place was not transparent. Overall, I would recommend purchasing moving supplies anywhere else. Moving is stressful as it is and this place is not worth it.

Don't be fooled by the overall rating of this facility. You will see that ratings have dropped substantially in the past year since the original facility (Stor) was bought out by Public Storage. Public Storage like to maintain a monopoly in the area and did not like the competition from Stor who ran a really great facility with decent pricing. Since Public Storage has taken over about a year ago, my rates were increased 50% while the level of service has decreased. When Stor ran the facility they maintained a RV dump station for the RV storage renters use. This is now locked up and will not be made available since it does not sit into Public Storage's corporate policy. Access hours have also been reduced.

Everything was well until about January. Customer service was good but when I was trying to reach the manager, nothing left a voicemail and no call back since February. It is now march. Also, there is a good foot and a half wide and about two feet tall of snow in front of my unit and many others since January. Was told that we have to remove the snow from in front of our units. I pay almost 180 a month for this. I was also there late morning early afternoon on a Friday when they were supposed to be open and no one was there. There office hours were until 6 pm that day. That was on February 24th.

EDIT- I wrote my original 5 star review below when this facility was "Stor Self Storage" - Since they have been purchased by Public Storage everything has changed in all the wrong ways. Initially we were frustrated they increased our rates, yet chose to not open the RV dump onsite. Removing amenities and increasing rates is backwards. Then our catalytic convertor was stolen off our RV. Now this is not something I blame the facility for, however the property handled the follow up very poorly. We have had multiple contract errors, log in issues, and account discrepancies. At every turn we are met with long hold times, or no ability to reach anyone at all. In one instance rather than fixing an issue with our online account, we were advised to create an entirely new email address to create a new account with. I would no longer recommend this facility. ____________________________________________ " Refreshing experience in an era where the "customer " mindset seems to be lost. The service experience from the beginning has been a positive one. It's the small details that go along way. First name basis when calling in by phone, follow up that is not only timely but friendly, making every effort to accommodate the needs of their customers. These are just a few examples of the small details that are consistent when dealing with the Stor Self Storage team, yet seem so natural for this group. The facilities are secure, easy to access with app integration, clean, and conveniently laid out. We store a large RV onsite. Access in and out is easy to maneuver, and with a dump station right when you pull in it doesn't get much more convenient. I appreciate anything that can save us effort and time. Especially after a long weekend on the road. I would recommend Stor to anyone in need of their services. You ( and your "things" needing storage) will be in good hands.

Great service! Very helpful and secure

Entire experience from move in to move out was handled without having to deal with a live person. The insurance, while a surprise expense, was competitively priced. The security and fire panel were malfunctioning throughout my months using the unit.

Laquioa at Public Storage at Hiawatha location in Minneapolis is THE BEST. She reserved and booked several units for me and truly knows the value of great customer service! Very professional, knows the answers to any questions I ask, and is always happy and friendly. Goes the extra mile! There’s lots of storage places along Hiawatha but I’ll always choose PS because of Laquioa! Hands down she’s the sole reason I choose PS!!

Great staff. Clean facility. Plenty of security. Everything you can ask for to protect your stuff! If you bring something to their attention. They are very quick to investigate and make sure nothing is going on. Moved to this facility from Savage and definitely don’t regret it. The docks are a huge bonus for moving thing in and out easily!

Received an email from Public Storage..."Welcome to our family! ...we are thrilled to have you with us!" Now sign our contract. I didn't know that I was up for adoption. Your old family is gone, we covered up all traces of them, we even gutted their offices, your curfew is now 9 pm, you will be happy because we are so gosh darn happy that we have you. I am home sick for my old family.
