Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 36001 Warren Rd, Westland, MI

I had an issue at the Taylor Public Storage, and could not find anyone on the grounds to help me with it. After contacting the 800# that representative was able to find someone at the Westland location who was willing to handle my problem. We drove over to that location and Gema was quick to resolve the problem. Gema is a wonderful representative of the company and should be commended for her hard work and most of all her customer service!! It was refreshing to work with someone like her! Thank You Gema for taking very good care of a long time customer of Public Storage!

The little lady in the kiosk box who is remote tells you that you can get your money back on the lock and key when you move out. Site manager says no way. Units are clean and lighted. Have you tried talking to a real person on the phone not onsite, forget it. bots and endless main menu options but no real person to talk to. Sad way to run a person to person business.

This is perhaps one of the worst storage places. I have a family member who has had their locks cut off and replaced without notification, this has happened twice.. Once they had their locks replaced and were told their things were going to be auctioned because of non payment, only for them to acknowledge that they had made an error. The unit was paid up to date . Once again they went to the unit only to find out their keys were not working. They were planning an outing and needed things that are in storage. They had no access to their things. They have to wait 72 hours to find out why. What kind of business is this. Horrible. Stay away from this place.

Such a friendly and welcoming place. Tommie is an amazing manager. The only thing that I am bothered by is the price. They are expensive but as long as the service remains the same with excellence and gratitude then we will stay. Thank you Tommie for your amazing service. Gema is great! I've had more than one unit at various times over the years and Gema has always been great if I ever had any questions about pricing or any changes I might want to make. She is has a great problem-solving attitude, and you can tell she takes her job seriously and tries to help the customer in any way she can. Absolutely terrible service. Made a reservation for a unit online. Paid my fees. On my move in day i showed up(around 2pm so mid-day) and my app couldnt give me access, it said to go into the office. In the office was just a kiosk on the wall, which did not register to touch so i could not use it. I left a voicemail for the property manager and left my info. Tried the next day to get access(about 730am) left another coicemail for the property manager, and ended up having a 30 minute call with the corporate number. They had to give me a new access code which did work to get into the gate but when i got to my unit it had a lock on it. All the corporate office could do was tell me to leave another voicemail for the property manager. At this point i was just over the situation and asked to be refunded. Was again told this had to go through the property manager, who is not returning any of my communications anyways. I was also directed that i could call the corporate number later when the escalation department was open and they could help me. So i called corporate again (about 1030am) and the woman was very rude and vasically told me she wouldnt send my call to anyone and that they would only give a partial refund and could not give any idea as to if or when that might happen. Edited to add: ten days later, I have STILL not received any refund on this.

Horrible experience with this place. Not sure if it's just this one or the entire company. You can never catch anyone there, and if they lock your door good luck getting access, I have been waiting 5 days for them to remove there lock

Once again, Craig was a big help during my move. He is very knowledgeable, courteous and has a good sense of humor. I appreciate the cleanliness of the Public Storage facilities. I also appreciate that the online pictures are actual on-site photographs of the location and facilities.

I came here very last minute, without a reservation. And the lady working (I can't remember her name, but it started with a K) she was so friendly and helpful. She was able to quickly get me a storage unit that fit my needs. And I was able to move my things in right then. Would definitely recommend.

I have a storage facility here and the place is never open when I get off of work is so inconvenient and they just raised the prices this place is the worst. They need to be open till at least 8:00 on weekdays and weekends. If you're going to raise the prices you're going to have to be open later for the convenience of your customers.

The most horrible place..they tried to hit my credit card for rent in December after I moved out..i moved Dec 3rd and there's a 3 day Grace period..dont go there ever rip off and trying to commit fraud

I've been a customer for about a year. The experience has been great. Here are the main reasons: - Excellent customer service Gema, the property manager was always there to answer important questions about my account. Even when she was busy and couldn't take my call, she still called me back before the day was over. - Property was secure and protected by locks and a gate which you could easily access through the app.No need to remember codes. - Based on this combination, I've never had any issues with the company. The people and service was always great. I would highly recommend as long as you can afford the service. Dont be surprised by annual price increases. This is normal for these types of companies.

Wow the new manager Tommie is a complete joke. She doesn't do anything but go out of her way to make you miserable. Her ego issues are going to cost her the job and also cost her company a lot of business. I miss Gema. She really took care of business and made sure we're always happy. This new one just sets on her phone all the time and whenever you need something, she makes sure you never get it. Then she makes sure to annoy you as much as possible just for her to feel important. Run away from this place or face the consequences of having to deal with her. She never cleans yet never let you use the bathroom. It's always locked. Everyone we know in the other storge units left already. We are waiting for our 1-year to end, and we will be gone forever. We will never go back to Public Storage. A business that hires people like her should never get your money. Stay away, you have been warned!

I have a 5x10 unit my rent is 180 a month place is very clean people are very pleasant as long as you pay your rent on time you have no problem's I recommended it.

I am only putting this review because of the property manager Gema. Anytime I had an issue she helped. Everytime I came in she was always polite and helpful. She is what make this public storage store what it is. I would recommend this place because of her.

Gema is a GEM!!! She handled a complicated situation like a magician. We 10,000% recommend this storage facility because of her. She cares about each and every customer while still upholding what is right for her company. The facility is conveniently located and safe and spotlessly clean. There are plenty of moving supplies available for purchase. The bathroom is clean.

Totally amazing service with Gema! Super courteous and helpful! Definitely recommend this place!!! We needed the cart and she went in search of it for me. Within minutes, we made friends with other public service customers and the cart was shared!! Very friendly and helpful staff!

On Friday in the early morn, 2-18 I wasn’t able to secure my unit space due to the lock mechanism being stuck. Unfortunately I couldn’t stay and had to leave for work leaving my space unsecured. Def didn’t know what to do and was worried. It was before the property was scheduled to be on site , but I immediately called and left a VM for the property manager. She immediately returned my call and stated she would secure and fix the problem and not to worry.. The following Sun i returned to my unit and met with her. She took time to show me what the issue was and how she fixed the issue.. She’s so polite and delightful to talk too every time I see her . Best place to store your personal belongings as they do CARE there ….. Thank you !!!! Life saver

I have always had a wonderful experience dealing with Gema. She's very efficient, punctual, & a pleasure to work with.

My experience here was great and easy. I did an e-rental for a 10x20 space and Gema called right away letting me know that my rental was ready. This process was effortless. I found that I needed a 2nd unit. I went on my app to purchase a 2nd unit but it was not going through. When Gema came back to work she got me straight and explained e-rentals to me. Gema kept in touch with me to make sure I was able to access my unit and to answer any other question I had. She made my experience with Public Storage wonderful.
