I saw moths flying around in my unit today. I found a dead mouse another time. There are lots of places to store your things. I would find one where the employees care about your possessions. Plus, I would ask them how often they raise your rent. It's costly to move, but that is what I am going to have to do. Ugh! UPDATE: Things are not any better. I'll let you know how my insurance claim goes with the rugs being eaten!

I want to be fair to the people at public that try to do their job and help the renters,but my experience with the companys system is not good.starting from they advertise a rental rate that doesnt include (mandatory insurance) thats a extra $15 a month...i cant speak for others but i have alot of stuff and its not fun to move around...i booked online expecting one rate and when i got there it was another rate.i have two units which is two seperate accounts for some reason.i rented right after they took over simply storage and was told "we do rent increases once a year" ....4 months later i got a increase...i called had it reduced and was told by customer service "it would remain at that rate for a year".....3 months later its increased to $100 for a outside non climate controlled 5x10 which is actually not 5×10 rather the door frame width is 3 feet and the depth is 10ft to the outside lip of the unit...makes its a 3x7 unit...anyone who has ever rented elsewhere they are true 5ft width by 10ft deep units.this is downright insane.futhermore the gate was broken for 5 months of the 9 months ive rented there.they have yet to salt or plow the lot this winter.so my question is whats the justification for rental increases?...karen who i spoke with is a nice woman and her boss is nice person who did what they could...public corporate are thieves and could care less about the renters.they reduced my rent for next month and gave a credit for next month,which does me no good this month as i paid already as when i spoke with customer service they said my request was denied...(karen called later and said it was changed not her fault or her bosses,and does me no good for this month as i already paid for feb)...

We originally rented when this was Simply Self Storage. Soon after, they were bought by Public Storage and nearly every aspect declined in quality. Pros: - The actual unit (ours was inside) was great, clean, no issues with pests. Cons: - One of the two access gates was often broken or inoperable and you never knew which until you arrived or tried to leave. - One of the access doors was broken too and wasn't fixed for months. - Less than a year into our contract, our rent was increased by almost 50% per month while new units were rented for far less. The property manager repeatedly assured us he could provide a discount to keep our unit at the price we'd been paying, then didn't follow through and made no effort to help in any other way. - Customer service was almost non-existent. I'm convinced no one works in the manager's office because the door is always locked, the phone is never answered, and no one returns messages. - Contacting Public Storage customer service is nearly impossible because everything is either an automated menu or a chatbot. - It took four calls and being redirected to provide notice that we'd moved out of our unit and we didn't get confirmation for over a week.

I currently rent from this location and have been trying the last couple weeks to rent a second unit. Left several messages with no return phone call & went by the office with locked doors. Very poor customer service plus I just got a letter stating that my rent is going up!!!

I have been renting from this location for a while. However, I have been trying to rent an additional unit directly across from my unit. I have visited the office twice but no one is never there. I have called the location and left SEVERAL messages because as they state in their voicemail recording "they care about their customers & will call you back" Apparently not so much as they cant even return a phone call!!!!!!!!!

Rick was a great help. Easy to work with, polite, knowledgeable, and prepared. I knew him when he worked at a different business taking care of commercial accounts. When he left it was a lose to the level of counter personnel that they needed. He made sure I had all the info I needed to know. very smooth transaction. Considerably better than storage king. better attitudes, better buildings, better storage units, and better prices

Rick is an outstanding representative for Public Storage! With patient expertise he answered every one of my questions and got me on board in a hurry. I trust him to take care of me (and all my stuff) as we go along.

I rented my storage unit on line and found out it was long walk to the unit inside the climate control. Ms Crystal was very polite and helpful with the dummy(me) who rented the wrong type of unit. She quickly changed my rental space and agreement. She personally showed us the new unit and by the time my wife and son had most the truck emptied. We were back at the unit. Thanks again.

I walked in, talked to Tyler. He was very helpful and got me taken care of and out of there in 15 minutes. He also showed me how to use the gate. lol I'm an old lady. I highly recommend this place.

Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever encountered. There is no way to get a hold of a human being & their chatbot is extremely limited in what they can help with. Have left messages for property manager, there is no property manager. That person does not exist. There is no one in the office, ever, and there is no local number to get in touch with anyone. We have moved all of our items out of the unit & they are still billing. I guarantee the only time I’ll hear from a human is when I don’t pay their next incorrect bill. I would give negative stars, if it were possible.

We recently leased a 10x22 climate controlled unit from Simply Self Storage in Waterford. This facility is super clean, is reasonably priced and a great location. We were greeted by the store manager Tiffany Beall and Olivia, they both were very helpful, customer-oriented and accommodating with multiple solutions to meet our needs. This storage facility has been nothing but fantastic to work with! They were available when I needed help and were always quick to get back with me if I had to leave a message. I couldn't recommend this place enough.

This place is a scam to its workforce....the only way these employees even have a chance for a "bonus" is if the meet a quota for Google reviews....they have to be 5 star reviews on top of that... kinda shady they have to even ask their tenants to do reviews to their location just so they can get enough for a bonus, oh and that's for new tenants....so if there basically already like 95% or more occupied on their units, they are very unlikely to meet to quota bc theybdotn even have room for new tenants to even try to meet the quota for google reviews....seriously there's got to be a better way for potential bonuses.....and they deserve better wages
