Do NOT rent from here. They increased the rent 100% in less than a year that I was there. They did not return any of the dozen calls to get an explanation. Horrible customer service, terrible management, and utterly horrible property management. Go literally anywhere else to rent a storage unit.

Nokia was not very helpful when visiting this location
I was in my storage space for less than 6 months and the price was raised 2x. There were spiders all over my belongs.
I was told they charge based upon how many ppl are currently renting. Never again

Terrible. I missed one payment in 14 months and they had me locked out w/in 13 days (work lay-off) and threatened to auction my things. They treated me like a criminal and even replaced my lock that they MAKE you pay for! So now that I made my payment I’m STILL denied gate access! Why?! My account is up to date! And now they’re closed on the weekends. Horrible place.

Complete and utter failure to communicate, no staff presence during operation hours, leaking rental unit, no call backs. For such a simple business strategy you’d think it would be simple to run, apparently not. Would recommend water damaging your own items over renting here!

I have nothing good to say about Public Storage. I was there the other day and couldn’t shut my storage door. I called the front desk and the number of whoever was supposed to be on duty and never received a call. This was on 28 June, I never got a response, this is very concerning and I wish to still speak with somebody regarding this issue because I’m a female 60 years old and it takes a lot of strength to open and close them doors but thank God I found a maintenance guy that knew something about it because the door was off the hedge and stuck never did I receive a call and I wish to speak to somebody about this matter Because it’s still an issue and I deserve to speak to someone I have nothing good to say about this until this issue is resolved with my unit I’m still waiting on someone to call back!

Scam! Raise my rent from 88 dollars to 199 over 3 years. If I would have known I would have never gone with them. No one is ever in the office nor gives a phone call back!
They have bugs, it's not temperature controlled, the door leading into my unit has been broken for over 3 weeks, the gate breaks. They are now charging me 184 dollars because I didn't talk to the manager who is never there before I moved out. Even though none of my property was in the unit.This place is a scam and I wish I never went with them!!! No one will help you-- they just put you on hold or voice-mail.

They do not care about you- they just want your money. I have never felt so disrespected from a company in my life.

Do not rent from Public Storage. They do not prorate, every other storage place do. I was in the storage unit for four days of the month and had to pay $395.00. They raise the rate on your unit sporadically. It started at $215, in less than two years it rose to $395.00. The managers do not care. Go to Uhaul

My boyfriend and I came here to rent out a storage unit about a month ago, and it totally slipped my mind to review my experience until now. I had an amazing experience here. We had no idea what size unit to get and we had many questions. Kelley really helped us out and she answered every question we had. Really great customer service and I feel like our storage is in good hands.
Nice clean location, I’ve been looking at several different storage centers and Kris was the first to call to offer assistance. I decided to go and look at the facility and was rather impressed but more so with the service that I received from Kris. (Kris) is a total asset to the company so I decided to rent a unit. Only issue is the high cost of purchasing unit locks which are specific to the locking system they’re using, I needed two. The only way I could use my personal lock was if I measured and have the correct cylinder to fit into there locking system. Which would be very hard and a inconvenience.

I have had a Storage Unit with Public Storage in Livonia for several months. I have never had any issues with access to the storage facility and the employee (KRIS) that works there has helped me several times. Whether I needed assistance with unlocking / opening the other side of the storage roll up door or answering questions about payments when I first started renting the unit.
KRIS helped me out on my last day at the storage unit in a big way. I would recommend this storage facility to anyone. It's employees like KRIS that make places run smoothly and keep people coming back.
If you read this KRIS, I personally want to say thanks again; you were a huge help.

The public storage in livonia is great. The employee Kris is very friendly & helpful. It's amazing to have someone very patient & professional. I want to say thank you for the experience I have there.
I like the facility alot and feel it is secure and safe. Upon my arrival to use my unit the first day I met a nice young lady who explained eveything to me.
However, my main only gripe is that I have been unable to catch a person at the office in person or on the phone to ask some additional questions, which is a bummer. Where are people during the day to speak to please?

Just wanted to send a shout out to Kris who went above and beyond with helping me. Recently, I opened a second storage unit and although both are needed the two units together are hitting my wallet pretty good. So, Kris suggested I request a decrease on my 1st unit (I didn't even know I could do that!) and the decrease was approved. This lowered my overall monthly bill by $50 - which is a HUGE help! Thank you so much for all your help! Keep up the good work :-)

Best storage unit ever!
I have had my unit for about a month now and I was searching just for the right place. When I came across public storage in Livonia I knew it was great. The best part was Kris because soon after I signed up, she called me to introduce herself and telling me welcome to the property. Anytime I have had a question she was always open to answering for me and always has a positive attitude. I recommend public storage on Plymouth road to everyone I know.
