UNDER NOW CIRCUMSTANCES DO NOT RENT SPACE FROM THIS LOCATION. THERE IS NO ONE TO HELP YOU. THIS LOCATION DOES NOT HAVE A LIVE PERSON AND YOU CAN ONLY REACH THE CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBER. THE CODE TO THE DOORS DOES NOT WORK AT ALL. THE GATE ACCESS IS FINE BECAUSE YOU USE BLUETOOTH FROM YOUR PHONE. ALSO THEY WILL NOT REFUND YOU FULL DEPOSIT. THEY CHARGE A $29.00 ADMIN FEE THAT IS NONREFUNDABLE REGARDLESS OF YOUR SITUATION. I NEVER WAS ABLE TO GET INTO THE DOOR TO GET TO MY SPACE NO MATTER HOW MANY MESSAGES OR CALLS I MADE. Brian at the Briggs Chaney location has been very communicative and helpful at solving my storage problems. There's a lot of competition in this area; but, I've found Public Storage to be one of the best, and this Briggs Chaney location is clean and well maintained and when you combine that with service from people like Brian, it's a homerun.

Public Storage in Briggs Chaney is definitely one of the premium storage facilities in the Silver Spring Area. Very clean, spacious and very accommodating to all my needs. Their staff is top notch as well. I was assisted by their employee Brian , who did a fantastic job covering all the sizes available, providing a thorough tour and it's costs per month as well as my options Incase I needed to downsize or even upsize in the future. Brian ensured I was receiving the best rate within my area and covered all the main points of my agreement prior to receiving the keys. The customer service at Briggs Chaney was great, very helpful and accommodating. Brian, the office manager solved my "wrong" online reservation problem, and got me into the unit that I wanted. I had a terrible and rude experience there a few years ago with different staff member, and was weary of dealing with them. However, I gave it a chance and I'm really glad I did. The previous staff is no longer there, and current staff delivers wonderful customer service. Very satisfied.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Do not waste your time or money! I had my things in storage for 6 months and when I returned there was mold on some items and water stains on others. The insurance doesn’t cover damage due to elements so another waste of money. They need to have climate controlled units like they claim to offer.

The day after posting this review I was contacted several times. I appreciate the attempts at customer service. Honestly though nothing will take away the fact that they advertise climate controlled units and that’s not the truth. The more boxes I open that were in this unit the more moldy items I find. Some custom items which also held sentimental value and are irreplaceable. It’s hurtful and disrespectful that I would be asked to take down my review multiple times a day when this issue is so fresh and has not been settled.
I am shopping early for storage space and pricing . Chris helped me at this location and he was super patient and extremely helpful . I was so surprised to hear him say , he haven’t been working here long and is fairly new. He was extremely knowledgeable and took me to see storage spaces several times since I was indecisive and not sure which space would be big enough . Although this location doesn’t have the space available I need , he suggested that I go to another location and even offered the address. He stated that by the time I am actually ready to rent the storage unit, there may be one available . He went over pricing number our times for me and explained their policy as well as insurance coverage. Great customer service is hard to come by these days , but the customer service received from Chris was exceptional. I will definitely come back here with hopes of them having the storage space I need.
