IF YOU WANT TO BE SCAMMED, RENT A UNIT HERE! This is my first time and last time renting with Public Storage. I had got the special they had at this facility, which was one month for a dollar. I paid the $30 fee + $25 for the lock. So if you think about it, the month really wasn't for a dollar anyway because you had to pay $30, which is basically for 30 days, but they just say it's a fee. The move-in date was August 17th. I get the lock I move my stuff in. About a week later, I got a call telling me that I needed to pay for the unit. I already moved my stuff in, paid for their Public Storage lock, and only had been there not even two weeks yet. I had to let them know what it really was. The lady saw in the system exactly what I told her. Then I get another call a couple of days after that saying that my stuff has to be out by the 16th of next month in order to avoid any payment. After that, I get another call saying that my stuff has to be out by the 14th. Well, yesterday, I only had one thing left in the unit. When I tried to get it out, I saw that a lock that someone from the facility put on the unit along with mine. I called, and they told me that I owe them $100, which is a blatant lie! I have the one month special for a dollar and haven't even been there 30 days yet! The lady also told me that they did not put in the system that they put a lock on the storage unit. She gave me the code to take off the lock and told me to put it in the lock box and said that she saw in the system my things didn't have to be out until September 16th. I took a video, of everything being out of the storage unit, proving it's now vacant and the lock being placed in the lock box with yesterday's date so they don't try to lie and say that they never got it. Whoever owns this facility is a scammer, but there's something called karma. What goes around comes around, and the owner will see... Aside from the scamming, the place stinks and smells like mildew. Also, it smells like they tried to cover it with mothballs, which doesn't work. It has a dungeon type vibe. In the unit there were tons of spiders and also there was fluid leaking on the floor what's damaged one of the boxes with my tv inside. If the rest of my boxes were we're on that side of the units everything would have been destroyed with mold and mildew on it. When I was there one of the other renters said it was the worst storage place they have ever rented from. I had to agree. By the way there were other lock boxes on other people's units and something tells me that it's the same situation they're trying to hold people's things hostage and get extra money by making false charges! I would not recommend it. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! UPDATE: First, they said I owe $100 then they send me an email saying I owe nothing which is corrected and then about an hour later I get an email saying I owe $301.00 when I signed up for the $1 for the 1st month special. I have video proof, will sue, and report to the better BBB and federal trade commission. I am not the one to scam!

I needed a unit quick and cheap. Maia helped me get my unit quick and the price was great. I love that it's gated as well

Recently started renting a unit here. It was a very smooth and efficient process. Samina, the property manager, was quite helpful provided great service.

Perfect location and price. I love him it's right next to my house I can walk there and the gate is a plus.

I needed a storage space and they're 2 within blocks of each other. I called both and the Randolph Rd. office was so professional and knowledgeable, I had to go there. I made appt to view the place and after working with Donzaya, I figured it was the right fit for me. I am customer service driven and Donzaya delivered 100% for me. The next day I realized my space was too small and upgraded to a larger space. I thought it would be a problem, but Donzaya made the switch immediately. I am very happy with my decision in working with this location. Surprisingly when I showed up the 3rd day, she remembered my name. 5 stars for sure.

UPDATE: Service has still been excellent! Had a big move recently & staff was super helpful especially with me running back forth, trying to get things out and in! Really happy I chose this location. The service here was amazing! The staff made the whole process as swift as possible. Unit & walkways we’re clean which honestly, made me feel a lot more comfortable leaving my items. First storage space and I am definitely pleased!

I could not be happier with the excellent service and attention to detail from this Public Storage location AND most importantly from the on site manager DONZAYA!! She greets us with the best smile, she is always walking the grounds making sure the facility is in order. Easy access in and out! I know my items in my unit is safe because she is is always PRESENT and on site! So happy with the $$ offer of the storage unit sale price as well! This place literally closes at 9 PM, and you can't even use the gate code to get in. I came back from a long drive to Virginia at 9 30 pm, to return my uhaul truck, but had my car still inside the storage place, I live an hour away and couldn't get inside the gate. What are gate codes for? In my life, I have never not been able to access my stuff at any other facility, this place even had an after hours 800 number on the display, they answered, but couldn't help me! I had to drive the uhaul truck back to Frederick and come back at 6 am. to get my car out. This is a disgrace, and they should pay me back for my wasted time at 100 an hour because, that is the rates they charge!

I’m very happy with the service

I initially posted a good review, but slowly everything came through the surface. I had my belongings in storage due to COVID and going into telework. I moved to another state to telework and take care of my mom. Public Storage took advantage of this and nearly tripled my rent. So I rented a uhaul to move my things cross country. It was the middle of summer, and so hot I nearly passed out, because of course they don’t have fans or AC in the facility (unless you pay for climate control). I found a roach crawling around. Things were stressful as it was trying to pack everything in time to drive 20 hours home, but they had the audacity to give me a “courtesy” warning for leaving the storage facility a minute late at 9:01pm. Give me a break 🙄

Called in this morning to check office hours, was told I could get in after they closed at 6pm. Sitting at the gate at 915pm, now homeless as I move out of state, gate won't open. Customer service said there was nothing they could do and to have a nice day and hung up on me. Guess I'll sleep in the parking lot until 6am...

RUN. Run away from this company/ location and FAST. I rented an overly priced indoor, temperature controlled, room and it was absolutely disgusting. All my belongings are covered in mold and stink. Complete waste of money. To clarify, I wasted over $2,000 on just rent AND all my items are damaged. Other reviews here have to be fake.
