Leasing and accessing the property was simple and quick. There is an issue with the elevators as they close very quickly. If you have multiple items to load from the car to the elevator it is difficult having to struggle with opening the elevator door for every item and even having to reenter the code. Not very user friendly.
We moved out earlier this year to snapbox. Due to it being closer and rates going up fast. The doors and elevators always seemed to be broken. Some of the customers are ignorant they park their vehicles in front of doors. When I moved out you had to go through the exit to enter.
The staff was always great anytime I spoke to them.
They fixed the second door.
Only one elevator worked.
Only 3 carts.
This public storage I have to say is one of the best and cleanest I’ve ever been to. The overall service is great. Candice is such a joy she is very helpful, respectful and willing to go above and beyond her work duty to make sure her customers are happy. Public storage is a scam.
All of these doors are currently broken at the time of review. I booked a unit, it didn’t tell me I was at the old location, struggled to get into the new location because that was the address. Finally got to the old location and it’s literally like you’re in a cattle shed like a chicken or a cow. The back elevator is broken and the front elevator looks like a horror movie. It didn’t even have lights? I didn’t even see how to work it because I was afraid to get inside and get stuck. The flooring on the second ground is that weird substance they make high school bleachers out of so if you’re storing anything of value— not at this location.
Okay I’ll get another one at the new location, no big deal. Get the “climate controlled” unit. Get there, find the unit and I took a video of me being unable to get into the unit at all??? Like I slid the stuff up and back and nothing take a look at the video.
I was here at like 6:30am and there is no property manager. Okay whatever.
I decide to cancel a day or two later because I found another solution and now they won’t even give me a refund for space I couldn’t access when I went to the property. I had to call the same day and cancel.

Candice was an absolute angel. I was having a rough day and I was on the phone with customer service trying to reserve my storage unit. Candice stepped in midway, noticed how stressed I was, and helped me with the remainder of the process and made the process much more seamless. She gave me a convenient unit on the 1st floor and walked me over to the unit and made sure I had everything I needed. Candice was very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. I came back again because I thought I had misplaced my keys to my storage unit. Candice walked with me over to the unit again to ensure that I not only had the right keys, but made sure they worked. I can't thank Candice enough!

If you need a storage unit, this is definitely the location to use in Owings Mills. The location is easy to locate, the facility is new, very clean, bright and airy. The service attendent Ms. Candance is AMAZING!!! This was my first time renting a unit and she walked me through the entire process and explained and showed me everything to make it a quick and seamless process! I’ve had a really bad experience with public storage from the start. I signed a contract paying $165 and 3 months later the price was raised to $223 despite the contract. Multiple people including myself have been locked in the building. The elevators are always broken or jumping like they’re about to fall. It’s always dirty and freezing inside and the bathrooms are always locked or not working. Also the gates are a total inconvenience considering one has been broke for months now. Also so many times I’ve had to call customer service because my code will stop working randomly.

Every week the doors are broken. I was stuck inside with a guy for an hour at one visit. They continue to allow people to break the door by not making the simple correction of listing the doors height. The staff are nice yes, but that does not make up for the huge inconvenience that continues to happen every week. I have trailers and larger vehicle's I use, I have to make a turn inside the facility. Let's just say it's not enough space to do that with other visitors there. So I have to inconvenience other people asking them to move there vehicle's. If all of this is cool with you... rent there...

Today I was ready to complain to management, ask for a refund, and cancel my unit entirely until property manager Dionte helped me! On the previous times I have interacted with him he has always been super helpful, but today he went above and beyond by changing the complete lock mechanism on my unit. I’d been having a lot of trouble accessing my unit because of the door getting stuck and because of my lock not fitting, that I didn’t even get to fill the unit because I couldn’t open it by myself. Dionte cared enough to change the entire mechanism today for me in less 15 minutes. It’s because of him that I am staying with this Public Storage after all. He is a great employee!

This review is to recognize and compliment an outstanding employee only. Ms. Tamika Pipkin is to be commended on her exemplary professionalism, and top notch customer service. I had a recent situation and needed an immediate storage unit. I was able to make a reservation , pursuant to an online 4th of July special. Unfortunately I was unable to navigate the website to make my first payment. On the scheduled day of my move in, Ms. Pipkin was working. We both had trouble bypassing the online computer system to make my payment. While it was very frustrating, and my attempts to communicate with corporate were an exercise in futility, Ms. Pipkin did everything in her power to assist me,and to make my experience less stressful. I returned on two other occasions with the same result. Ms. Pipkin was working on those occassions as well, and went above and beyond her purview to assist me. I otherwise would not recommend this facility, or public storage as a company due to their complete lack of communication as well as their overall disorganization. I have already moved out, and moved on, but felt remiss in not mentioning Ms. Pipkin and her outstanding customer service.

This morning (08-05-23) I had a reservation for a storage unit at 9742 Reisterstown Rd. The Manager Tierra was extremely professional, polite, friendly and courteous. Tierra walked me through the rental process with ease. After finishing the paperwork Tierra took time out to walk me to my unit and explaining to me all of what I needed to know to access my unit. This was one of the best experiences I have had with renting a storage unit and I highly recommend renting at 9742 Reisterstown Rd if you want to be treated with respect and feel valued as a customer. Worst experience ever at this facility. I arrived at 9:30am to rent a storage space, in which the facility wasn’t open, but clearly says, 9:30am open time. Someone finally arrives. No hello, Good morning, nothing. As I approached the desk, I ask the young man to see a 5x8 or 5x10, he shows me a 10x5, and then tells me the 5x10 and the 10x5 is the same size.
I guess my work in Real Estate with measurements been wrong all along. I ended up not renting storage space due to the unprofessionalism and the attitude of this young man. Public storage, Please be diligent as to who you hire. No one wants to walk or rent from a place where I have to see your employee’s underwear or listening to a rap session, while on the elevator.
Arrived at 8PM to unload vehicle; waited 1 hour for a cart, and none appeared; left at closing (9PM) unable to move anything. How does this place function?!?

Unfortunately I cannot find another available unit that's not in another county so I'm stuck using the Reistertown Rd location. I pay $220/mo for a small 10*10 unit. There are multiple other people using the same location and the huge bay doors are busted. I've already spoke to management and they said they're getting to it. It's been a couple months so far and still cannot use the bay doors. First the one door was out and has been "worked on" for almost 2yrs and now it's boarded up. Now both bay doors are broken. My husband and I are slowly trying to go through our things and get rid of what we don't need and consolidating what we do need and t trying to get out of there. Management is very rude and disrespectful. We have mold on our things and when bringing it to their insurance company saying they would help cover the cost. When provided a list of damages they said it was too much and wanted to give us half of what everything cost combined. I would not recommend this location unless you're desperate. The only good thing about this location is the high volume of traffic bc of the RoFo.

Definitely reliable storage, I love that the gates can be accessed using the app! However this particular location has gone a bit downhill compared to when I first moved my stuff here a year and a half ago. It's not as clean, stains on the elevator rug and usually dirty along the walls (not loads of rubbish but just dirt and debris), and the carts have switched to a check out system which makes it extremely frustrating as I have never been here since this was implemented and seen an available cart. I ended up getting innovative with how I carried things onto the elevator to the ground floor.
The door to enter was broken and we didn't know how to get in until after we'd parked and were told to use the exit which meant someone had to go inside, put their phone up to the sensor, and run back to the car. I understand it's not their fault tech issues happen, but some more signage on what to do would be great. It is a reliable and safe place for my things though.
I have had my storage space for less than 6 months. The rent increased by $30 3 months in and the main gate to assess your things is always broken. Being pregnant is difficult to access my items with the main drive in gate being broken/closed for going on 3 months.
Update, both gates are broken and there are never any pully rollers available. It's just a empty long driveway Inside that is not usable. Will not be renewing my lease here at all.

Was only there for a week or 2, and there always seemed to be a broken elevator. People may not break them as often if they change the settings so they don't close so quickly. You have about 1 second before it closes on you. We are likely moving furniture or carrying something in a storage facility, so common sense says to give us a few seconds! The big door to drive in and unload was broken. Also, if an employee is not there, you cannot get a cart to help you move. Even during business hours, the employee would not be there. No sign on the door as to where they are. One time, the lady was leaving to go to royal farms as 2 of us were pulling in. She saw us, and went any way. Was probably gone for 15 minutes. Can you implement some sort of hold by credit card cart dispenser like they have at the airport? Also advertised as climate controlled, but it was way warmer in there than I would have expected. I was nervous storing my guitars in there. Would not use again.

She always greet you with a smile and how can I help you today and will answer all questions, even stupid ones! If all of the public storage facilities are lucky enough to have people like Tara, it’s no wonder that you guys are the best!

This is a very nice facility thats one of the newest in the area. Unfortunately, they have seemingly had a number of issues regarding carts and the garage door. Its hard to blame the facility when customers have hit the garage door multiple times. I have been here from the beginning and have also seen the original dozen or so carts dwindle down to one or two, which causes some issues. I had to go into the office just to kind of ask what’s been going on. I was impressed by Tiara’s response and demeanor as she simultaneously handled an issue another customer was having with the lack of carts. I was reassured by her response that it is something that is being worked on. I do hope that these issues can be improved, but these minor inconveniences haven’t been that big of a deal to me.

Public storage refuses to accommodate the needs of the senior retired population. The large monthly increase without any additional service unjustified.
I was closing my storage account with them but had lost the keys to my lock and I went to Candace to ask what to do and she was super helpful, she was very informative with all the questions I'd asked and even did her best to ensure I'd have the ability to vacate my unit before the first of the month so I wouldn't be charged for another month. She was patient with working with my and my hectic schedule and she'd even worked through part of her lunch break to help me. 10/10 would recommend and 11/10 I appreciate Candace's service!
This is the worst public storage of ever used and I've never used public storage before My things are ruined from mice They never have the gate open or unlocked and when it rains they lock the gate They lock the gate so they don't have to mop the floor because of the tracks left from cars and the other customers of the public storage The worst place ever They're very lazy whoever the management is always parks in front of the store but disappears for hours on end Throughout my time of trying to use my storage there's been plenty of customers who can't find the manager & had to leave They have signs up saying that they'll keep the gate open The gate is never opened There are people will come up here with big U-Hauls that have to load their things one by one through the door It's ridiculous and it's a waste of money and public storage management never does anything about it

My experience at public storage with the help of Ms. Candis was great. She made the process moving very easy for me and help me with every step.
I had a seamless moving process with the help of the staff at Public Storage! Candace was patient with me and answered all of the questions I had regarding transferring out of one storage unit into another. She even went out of her way to lend me a hand with moving my mattress!
I came in on 1/10/2022 to get assistance & realized that I hadn't gotten a climate control unit. Candice & Bliss were EXTREMELY helpful in transferring me. They were thorough & clear with the instructions & very patient as I had a million questions. Bliss personally walked me to my unit to be sure a lock was there & help me find my way through what I considered "a maze". I am REALLY big on customer service & from the moment I walked in the door, they were just pleasant. Complimented me on my coat & I truly wasn't expecting that. Thanks a million ladies!
