Title: Absolutely Horrendous Experience - Avoid at All Costs!
If I could give zero stars, I would. My experience with Public Storage was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. First off, the customer service is atrocious. The staff are rude, unhelpful, and seem to take pleasure in making your life difficult. Trying to get a straight answer from anyone was like pulling teeth.
The facility itself? A disaster. The units are filthy, with a constant smell of mold and who knows what else. I wouldn't be surprised if they were breeding grounds for pests. Speaking of pests, I found evidence of rats in my unit and when I brought this to their attention, they couldn't have cared less. "It's just part of storage," they said. Seriously?
Security is a joke. The gate was broken half the time, and I saw strangers wandering around the premises without any staff in sight. My belongings didn't feel safe there for a second. I actually feared for the safety of my items and wished I had gone elsewhere.
Oh, and let's talk about the hidden fees! They lure you in with a low price, then nickel-and-dime you with every ridiculous charge imaginable. Late fees, insurance fees, random "maintenance" fees—by the end of it, I was paying double what I originally signed up for.
To top it all off, when I finally decided to cut my losses and leave, they gave me a hard time about closing my account. It took weeks of back-and-forth just to get out of their clutches, and they still tried to charge me for an extra month.
In short, Public Storage is a disgraceful company that should be avoided at all costs. Save yourself the stress, frustration, and financial loss. Take your business anywhere else—literally anywhere would be better than this cesspool of incompetence and greed.

Additionally, there are always an adequate amount of flatbeds to use for transporting your items. Pedro is a very kind, respectful, and responsive site manager. I am giving this review on my last day at this location. I am moving to another storage unit. Because I am unable to access this unit 24 hrs to run my business. If there were a way to receive 24-hour access, I would gladly move back in. I have been a loyal customer since 2016. Thank you so very much, Pedro. 🌟

I have had my furnishing stored at the Lanham Public Storage for over six years. Since the manager Pedro has taken over, I know my belongings are secure. Whenever I call or have a problem, he immediately calls and addresses it. Pedro is always friendly, accommodating, and professional. The facility is always clean and I have never had a problem. I highly recommend storing your items at this location because it is managed by Pedro and he does an excellent job. You won’t be disappointed. My only regret is that I didn’t give this review earlier. He deserves to know that he is appreciated for a great customer service.

Although, I have a climatized storage unit, I must ask the question, "Why is the temperature set to 80 degrees"? Therefore, when I search through my stored bags, I am sweating like a pig in a sausage factory. Is this how a client should feel while going through their personal items?
CROOKS! I purchased 12 month contract from EZSTORAGE FOR $169 a month on 4/2021. Public Storage brought out EZSTORAGE Storage the following month and RIPPED up my contract. Then they IMMEDIATELY raised my rent to $209 month to month. They have raised it 3 times now. For 7/2022 they are asking for $249! CROOKS!! I will be moving out on 6/30/2022. Stay away from this shady environment. DON'T SAY I DIDN'T WARN YOU!!

Mr. Dejesus at the Forbes Blvd facility in Lanham MD is one of the best facility managers, ever! His customer service skills are impeccable. He made my visit very pleasant. Public Storage corporate office should consider allowing Mr. DeJesus to teach all of their employees how to treat their customers.
