I've used a few storage businesses over the years, and so far Public Storage has been the easiest to use, enter, exit, etc etc. I am sort of from the old school where I like to actually speak to people etc. SO if that's what you like you can also just walk in and speak to an employee, if you like to have as little contact as possible with humans you can do the whole process online much faster than one would think. I happen to take the automated route this time and it was too easy. I was able to rent and pay the first payment, then within minutes I had an email which explained exactly how to enter and exit the property along with rules and regulations etc. They provide a lock which is inside the unit you rent, so you don't need to even bring one. Entry and exit is easy, simply type in your code into the access box. Where ever there is an access box, the fence when you first enter and the door to the building your unit is in, the code is the same for all and it just works. Like most places they provide carts etc, to facilitate filling and emptying the unit. The buildings are clean, don't smell, you don't see bugs or animals running around, and you don't see any evidence that there are any bugs or animals around. Like some places you can see the droppings and the place smells, but not PS it's clean and what you want and expect from a 1st class storage business. I am not sure how competitive the pricing is, I didn't do a heck of a lot of research I was short on time and just needed a storage unit, quick with as little a hassle as possible. That's exactly what I found in Public Storage, so it worked out quite well. I would certainly use PS again should I need another unit, and I would definitely recommend. Good Luck out there.

This place should be shut down by the state. Absolutely disgusting the way they treat customers, try to scam people, elevators constantly broken, past inspection dates etc, plus the most disgusting storage facility ive ever been to. one moving cart for the entire property, the climate controlled units are freezing in the winter and practically melting my funiture in the summer, they also raise rates every 3 months. My rate more than tripled in a very short time there. They tried to scam me when I moved my stuff out as well. Be wary of this place. plenty of other good storage facilities to choose from. I had to go through the corporate office to get the $300 bill wiped out there were trying to scam me for.

- Building D is falsely advertised as climate controlled, there is no HVAC in ceiling. It was the same temperature as outside. This is not climate control. - Opened the new unit, dead mouse inside with blood trailing the body. No one previously checked the unit or inspected it. Neglectful site manager. - The exiting keypad has 2 digits that are the same (6). Someone was too lazy to fix the keypad and adding a new 9. This type of minutia shows how much they care about their clients and their business. - The body of water adjacent to the building is being used for trash and items from the facility with their logo are visible in the water. (not depicted) - Do not go to this facility.

Absolute nightmare of a property. When I first went into my storage unit almost a year ago, I noticed water damage in multiple spots on the floor so I tried to go to the office to ask for a different space. The property manager was in her chair when I walked up, then proceeded to HIDE when I knocked on the locked door. Finally after days, they moved my spot (to a less convenient spot, same size) and charged me MORE for the space. A man filling in for her went to the unit with me to check the water damage, and indeed confirmed it was a wet spot on the floor. She was rude about the situation and asked to see it again days later, and told me it wasn’t water (it definitely was). She is never really on the property and when she is, she takes forever to respond to people. She also told me that the elevators were only able to be accessed by using your code, and we told her that it just let us go up to our floor with no code. She told us we were wrong, and when we proved it to her, she said “oh, we’ll have it fixed within the next couple of weeks”. Months later, it’s still not fixed. They don’t do much to keep up with the property but don’t mind charging you substantially for subpar space and service. Will be moving units soon, as we’ve experienced nothing but unprofessional behavior.

Vivian, wow! She exceeded my expectations on the type of customer service I'd receive from storage facility. In general, I was frustrated with publics customer service over the phone. Impossible to get some one. Vivian really helped me and calm me down during the most stressful moment of my life. As long as Vivian is around I will continue to do business with her. Potentially keep a smaller unit after my move! Also, I notice she's always cleaning and helping customers.

I had the pleasure of watching Vivian at work. She was very helpful and extremely kind. There were no more carts at the building I was moving into. So she went to another building and got 2 for me. In my mind she did not have to do that. I must share this story of how completely generous she is!! There was and older gentlemen who was terminally ill. He could not finish moving his stuff out of his bin. So Vivian decided to offer her help and completed the clean out for him. She deserves a community award for her actions. I hope the higher ups at Public Storage see this message and reach out to me. She is truly ❤️ a rock star.

Public storage provided a safe and easily accessible space for my storage needs. I am a senior and was overwhelmed by the process. Julia guided me through effortlessly and was able to make this a pleasurable experience. Julia was patient, kind and went above and beyond for me .I had called around and public storage was the absolute best price and Julia provided excellent customer service and availability.I highly recommend public storage and especially this location.

I was a customer of Public Storage in Peabody for more than two years. Here’s what I experienced and observed: They do not have enough carts. There is one cart for the building in which my storage unit was located. That building has more than 300 units in it. Nearly every time I went to Public Storage in Peabody, I had to wait until customers ahead of me finished using the cart (for 10-30 minutes), move items without a cart (which can be cumbersome and require more trips between the unit and my car), or abort the trip and come back another time (which takes more time out of my day and is frustratingly inconvenient). The lack of carts sometimes creates friction among customers waiting for the cart and the customer using the cart. By comparison, the facility which I now use has seven carts for a similar number of units. The cart is often dirty. On several occasions, the cart was so dirty that I had to clean it before using it. There is one elevator in the building in which my storage unit was located, and sometimes that elevator was inoperable. My unit was located on the second floor. On at least three occasions, I arrived at the facility to find that the elevator was not working, which required me to move items using the stairs or come back another day. Even though Public Storage advertised my unit as being climate controlled, it was often hot & humid in my unit during the summer. I have discovered that some of the property I stored at the Public Storage Peabody facility has been damaged by heat and/or humidity. By comparison, the facility I currently use has been cool & dry during recent heat waves. There was no light in my unit. It can be frustrating and time-consuming to go through property while holding a light source in one hand. My monthly rent was initially $0.59 per square foot, which was low. However, my rent more than tripled (to $1.84 per square foot) in just two years. Public Storage gave me the run-around when I tried to resolve mistakes they had made in my rental amounts. In the first instance, I had to email the regional manager six times (over multiple months) before he even acknowledged me. In the second instance, I gave up after receiving responses that did not address the issue I was raising. I wish I was aware of these issues with Public Storage Peabody before investing significant time & effort in moving my property there. This facility is a bad deal and a poor value. You can do much better. There are other facilities in the area that do not have some or all of the deficiencies that plague Public Storage Peabody.

JEWELS IS THE BEST. YOU CAN TELL THAT SHE REALLY CARES ABOUT HER JOB AND THE CUSTOMERS. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE PEABODY MA LOCATION.

Lisa was an amazing person she was the greatest help very informative and understanding. She was funny and a sweet she made my move in smoother than butter That being said julia was not so nice she was not willing to help and was not understanding at all she had made it more difficult than necessary I asked for assistance in changing a misspelling on my reservation and she refused to do so and said she couldn't when Lisa had helped out and changed it the day before and then today Lisa had made the name change to correct the spelling of my last name without question Public storage needs more people like Lisa and less of the Julia's
