They increased our rent from $73 to $122 without notice and when I tried to talk to their customer service about why we are paying that much for a 5x10 when there is a 10x10 listed for only $66 a month they said that their rent will always go up even if other units around it are a different price. They said they do not negotiate or price match their rentals and that the only way we could get that price is to cancel the contract with that rental and do a new one. This is very bad customer service if you ask me and definitely shows they are just out to get all the money they can scam out of people. They did try to offer me a discounted rate of only $98 a month but I've heard from other sources that the email they are supposed to send with all the details never come. I guess we will se but we probably are going to be moving storage units
Renting my unit was a breeze. The associate was most informative and very helpful. Price is right to compared to other competitors in town.

Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about corporate administration. They ridiculously raise the monthly rates to ridiculous amounts. I have a 10x10 unit. It started out at $95 per month. After several months it was raised to $130 something, then $143 and then it went to $193 a month!!! At the same time, 10x20 units were advertised at this location at $120 something!!! I am now back to $90 per month for a 10x10 but I had to terminate my unit #118 and physically move all of the contents to #109. I guess corporate figures you will just pay the increases versus moving and/or having to rent a truck to haul things away. I am good for a few months, but at least I bought time until the weather is better. I spent all day today in the rain and snow switching things over. Not happy at all.
No wonder the company CEO makes $9,201,442 a year. Stay away from here in my opinion.

Went to public storage on Illinois rd to sove a rate problem. I talked to a very pleasant lori. She knew exactly what the problem was. Made the change on the computer while i was there. She also removed the late fee. Everything is fixed. It is not often, today, that you find somebody that actually knows their way around a company computer system, and can fix problms on the spot. There was an issue with billing some months ago. When I called and dealt with the phone customer service neither agent was helpful and one of the agents was extremely rude.
I had considered leaving a negative review because I'd lost a decent amount of money from the issue.
But after many attempts to talk to someone at this location one of the days LORI was in the office. I went in and spoke to her, she was AWESOME! Friendly, resourceful, and willing to help sort out the mess. I've rented storage units a number of times and she's got to be one of the most helpful and kind location managers I've ever dealt with.
If I rent from public storage again it will be because of Lori!
Even though residing in coastal California (and earlier living in many places around the US and abroad), we have maintained a storage unit at this Fort Wayne location since 1990. As others have stated, dealing with Lori is a true pleasure. She is proactive and remarkably helpful in dealing with any administrative concerns that have arisen. Public Storage is fortunate to have her as an employee.

There was a billing issue that I called Lori about. She got right on it. It required quite a bit of investigation but she got the answer. In the process, I was charged a late fee which she offered to waive. Lori is always cheery and takes great care of my accounts.
