Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 1550 Old Church Road, Streamwood, IL

Worst place I have ever been to. Dont go to this place! First , they give you a quote and about 3 months into it they just doubled my rent . They never answer a locked door and it got bad were I had to call the police. Cops told me they get nothing but complaints! You cabt even talk to someone from their corporate office. The phone routs you back everytime to the managers number! The place is crap go anywhere else but this public storage !

Darren is truly unprofessional, These reviews and his action do not match. He disrespectful , he chooses to deny access to units instead of being a man and accepting a review. He tried to threaten us with not giving access to A unit we paid for. This guy don’t deserve to be a manager or even a part time worker here.

Public is always so helpful plus Darren is always willing to help out with any customer concerns.

There are so many flaws with this location and the way this company operates it’s a shame. I won an auction not too long ago and was given 48 hours to collect my winnings. Then an issue arises to where I couldn’t get into the unit. Contacted public storage to help me figure out how to get the lock off they told me they would have to cut it off I asked them how soon it would be done I was given a time frame of 45 minutes to allow said property manager to get to the location it took hours and didn’t get to it until the location until it was closed I was hoping they would allow me another 24 hours since I was supposed to receive 48 but no they only allowed me until the end of today to collect my winnings if I could I would give 0 stars because this is ridiculous might I also add I tried getting in contact with the property manager and given the run around by customer service honestly people go to Uhaul where they have manned stores and YOU CAN CONTACT MANAGERS DIRECTLY VIA PERSONNEL CELL NUMBER AND HAVE BUISNESS CARDS!!! And have longer storage hour access!!!!!

9/16 - I am very hopeful that new striping will be put down to help bad parkers. If it wasn't for Darren I would have left a long time ago. Darren gets things done when on the property. Need someone on the property all the time.

Was good! Prices have doubled in 2 years. A couple times the heat was obviously off in the climate controlled area so I have to wonder how often it is off. Customer service is a very frustrating. Everything is off site and when you get ahold of someone they can’t help.

Really appreciate the management here .... any time we have issues, Darren is very helpful in taking care of the issues.

I rented a storage unit from July 22 till May 23 and had such a pleasant experience. Safe, secure, clean and Darren is so friendly! I would recommend this facility to anyone in the area who may need a place to store items.

For the most part, public storage comes in handy when you’re lacking storage space at home. But I’m 67 years old and I’m living on a fixed income so I don’t have any MONEY EXTRA MONIES TO SPEND. Unfortunately after being a storage unit renter, my storage rental fee goes up EVERY YEAR by at least $25-$30 dollars. I’m now paying $183.00 dollars per month for my unit and I’m on disability (SSI) because I’m diabetic and I’ve got COPD, which only pays $914.00 monthly. I think there should be a limit on how much DISABLED SENIORS CAN BE CHARGED. The public storage I use is in Hoffman Estates, IL. (iStorage) on Bode Rd. The only other complaints I have is the management has to manage two storage outlets and they’re unavailable quite regularly. The pavement is also loaded with Potholes that are hazardous to our vehicle’s suspension. I hope my input will have a positive impact towards making some improvements.

I originally only planned to store my things for a few months. Now that my plans have changed and I will be renting longer, Darren has been helpful and understanding with me. I've also noticed his attention to details with his job. He showed me a product that is wonderful and is keeping my items free of moisture. I'm so happy he showed me that and it works great.

The online process was nice and smooth, but the customer service at the location was awesome. Darren made the experience easier given then complications that moving can bring. He was just super nice guy making sure he went threw the smallest details of question we had. I’d recommend this particulate public storage location any time!!

It doesn’t happen often at all I write reviews, but this is the time I really want to do that. This is about Darren from Public Storage 1550 Old Church Rd. in Streamwood, Il. 60107. Here what I want to share. I use different location (not far) but know Darren from that location (for quite some time now). It was always a joy to meet him there when making my monthly payments (which are not that exciting though - who likes payments). And here it is. I wanted to tell to whoever may read this, that first, Darren’s personality is that you always want to meet him and the second, whenever I asked him for anything then from his side, there has always been a warm welcome to those requests and ‘things delivered’ as I needed. That doesn’t happen often THESE days and will be less everywhere in the Future I predict. Then Darren was moved to Streamwood location. I will tell you this – I do not go to my closer location to make my monthly installments. I drive farther to his currently location – since I just want to see him and exchange a few laughs and again – whatever I ask and ask for - is always welcome. If you have your requests and you like this treatment – this review can help you with that also with BEST ARRANGEMENTS available that he diligently always is open to look for and he makes happen and for you he will too as I as one of the customers have been experiencing.
