Convenient location and Kelly is amazing

This is the worst storage facility I've ever seen. Everything is covered in dirt and dust, bugs and grime. Anything metal is rusted, clothes are moldy. This facility is good to store actual garbage, I wouldn't trust anything other than that here

This property is disgusting there’s dead rats everywhere and the lady Kelly that runs the facility is very rude and unprofessional.

UPDATE: after posting on social media and emailing every email address for Public Storage that I could find, I finally received a call from a representative (NOT someone from this location, by the way. They have yet to respond to me). We had to beg and plead to get moved to a different storage unit until we find another location that doesn’t have leaks, this one outside and not indoors/climate controlled like our original one. When I inquired about receiving a refund or credit towards future months because of this happening to us, we were only offered one free month. The damage alone done to my property was over $1,000, not including the sentimental family heirlooms that I will NEVER get back that mean more to me than anything. Absolutely horrible customer service and business management. If I could rate this zero, I would. We are currently renting a 10x20 inside, climate-controlled unit from this location. I happened to randomly check on the unit yesterday, thankfully, only to discover that there is a leak in the ceiling inside my unit. Many items were damaged, including irreplaceable, hand-written cookbooks and other family heirlooms and furniture that can never be replaced. I went into the office to report what happened, only to be handed a brochure to file an insurance claim. No mention of moving us to a new storage unit that wasn’t moldy or anything. Today, my husband went and there was nobody inside of the office to help working. We have called 5 different “customer service” numbers to try and get a hold of someone. Because of the moisture in the unit, my items are becoming moldy and mildewy as we speak. I have been trying to get a hold of someone to move us to a new, dry unit, but no one has returned any of my correspondence, including social media messages, phone calls, emails, and in-person visits. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE!!!

Kelly, the manager is very professional takes her time to help us with our needs. We have three storages at the location and she was very helpful and we have preferred other people because of her professionalism and being so friendly and her customer service is superb.

Been to many public storages and have never been offered help like Samantha did at this location she put in multiple requests of working to lower the costs of rent and get rid of late fees and gave me a phone number to contact that would help as well really went above and beyond

I made a reservation for this location 30 days in advance. I confirmed this reservation multiple times. I re-confirmed the day before schedule move-in. On the day of move in (which had to be in-person as I needed to see the unit - sizes posted aren't always accurate, all of which I made clear), I arrived during posted business hours, 30 minutes after opening, as planned. No one was there, however. I waited for an hour, called multiple times (all calls went to voicemail), to no avail. Other people were trying to get in to. There were not signs or messages posted on the door. I finally gave up, called main office who could not help since they could not reach the manager too and cancelled the reservation. I later reached someone at this location, to confirm cancellation. Whoever I spoke to though this situation was just right. Similarly, call-center people did not care. As a result, I had to look for a substitute in haste. Been using public storages around o'hare for years. This one, by far, is the worst.

My unit here got flooded with water and it ruined a few items, including a mattress and furniture. Office stated they have no liability. Theoretically, the whole unit could completely flood, and they aren’t liable.

Samantha is Da Bomb, she went above and beyond for me in helping take care of crazy storage issues. She definitely deserves lots of kudos and she should get a raise for being stellar at customer service! Maliegha also deserves kudos. She went above and beyond the call of duty as well Both of these Ladies are the only reason I still store my things at public storage.

I had just driven a 26-foot diesel truck containing all of my earthly belongings 370 miles from Cleveland with a farting, yowling cat in the passenger sea, had a not-great night’s sleep once I got to town, and had to careen this monster Penske truck over to Public Storage where two young men were meeting me to unload everything, I was tired from packing, from cancelling internet and electric and all that other awful stuff that grown ups have to do in order to move. I had Post-Move Syndrome, and I had it bad—punchy, flakey, stupid from lack of sleep, and—Just. Not. Functional.. AND THERE, BEHIND THE COUNTER, WAS SAMANTHA, my favorite storage unit person EVAHHH! Such an empathetic soul. She found a terrific unit for me, helped get my beast of a truck situated, waited patiently for me to finish my documents while I “got my unpacking guys started” (actually, I forgot all about Samantha until my unpacking guys finished two hours later). Then she smiled empathetically while I flailed around for several minutes searching for my missing lock (in front left jeans pocket), and while I completely cleaned out the contents of my purse looking for the credit card that “I had just a second ago” (in back left jeans pocket), and then worked her wizardry to ensure my Public Storage App on my phone worked so I could open the facility gate with my phone, because she could tell I was in no shape to command my intellectual faculties to attempt THAT technological feat. Samantha was SOOOOOO there for me today. I am so grateful. If you want a kind, understanding soul when you’re suffering from Post-Move Syndrome, go to Public Storage on Rohlwing Rd. Samantha will help you pick up the pieces and get the in a great storage unit!
