UPDATED REVIEW: (3-Stars) District manager reached out after I posted review and did what he could to make this right, which I appreciated. I did go back and viewed my payment history, and over the last 12 months my storage payments had increased by 85%, nearly double, so I'm not crazy! I hope this review encourages PS to be forthright and transparent with new customers about likely rate increases and reminds potential customers about the importance of entering any contract with your eyes wide open. ORIGINAL REVIEW: (1-Star) I don’t post a lot of reviews but the way this place has raised my rates (2 units) over the last year should be criminal. They will give you a great price at first — but don’t believe it! A couple months after you get your stuff moved into the unit they will start raising your rate. It won’t take long before you’ll have spent more on storage rental than your furniture or whatever is worth. Plus these units don’t keep out bugs, rodents, or all the tree pollen in the spring. I suspect they know it’s a huge pain to move your stuff out of storage and they quickly take advantage of the situation. Better to simply sell your stuff or even give it away. At a minimum require management give you a written guarantee not to raise your rate. If you sign up online like I did you are totally powerless and will regret it.

Although the people who work at this storage facility are nice and helpful, the road to the units is not well maintained. On a fairly warm January day two weeks ago, my husband and I removed a few items. It had snowed earlier in the week and nothing had been plowed. The entrance to where our unit was located had a leak from the gutter, forming ice upon which my husband fell. Two weeks later and he still has pain. A little salt, a little care would have helped a lot. I did complain but no one expressed a bit of concern. Given the monthly fee, it would seem to be a good idea to keep up the property. I would not recommend this storage facility.

Initially had some issues, but dealing with Caprice was a really good experience. She is service oriented and it helpd to have her available. The facility works well for me.

I had to book the reservation for moving and I had many hiccups. I kept calling and customer service and they had different answers. Then Leandra from the office noticed from the back end called me and helped me the process and my reservation became complete! She had so much knowledge and patient. The facility is super clean. I had so many questions as I've never used a storage facility before and Denise was super helpful! She answered all of my questions and put my mind at ease. I highly recommend this location and working with Denise!

Easy to rent, reasonable pricing and easy access

Been here 3 times. 2 out of those times, no property manager was there during office hours. Went in to get lock cut off, but no one was there to cut it off.

I have been renting at this location since approximately 2020. I've switched between a couple sizes of units based on changing needs. I am very grateful to have met Denise, as she is a fantastic property manager and good person. The only thing that could be better about my experience would be if the location was closer to me in Sycamore. However, since I have had nothing but an excellent experience working with Denise, I have trouble imagining renting anywhere else or dealing with anyone else. I HIGHLY recommend this location simply based on Denise being the property manager. Also, the rates are more often than not, the cheapest that I can find amongst public storage locations, as well as, other storage businesses.

What a disappointment! Charged me 380.00 for a 10x20 unit! I got the hell out and am now at a place that gave me a contract for 1 year @ 150. There after it can only go up 10$. Public is garbage

Over the last 10 years I have needed to use a storage facility several times. This location is exceptional. Denise goes above and beyond, she is great at her job it is a pleasure to deal with someone like her. I assure you that is not what I have experienced at other places.
