Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 4100 Waialae Ave, Honolulu, HI

This location deserves one-star due to my interaction with the phone service rep designated for the Kahala location. I say phone because no one was there when I appeared in-person, despite showing up at noon during the listed business hours. The service rep on the phone stated if you’re looking to reserve a unit, you MUST book ahead of time online first. However, this conflicts with what I am being told by other service reps at locations in Kapiolani and Dillingham. Every service rep told me that if I made a reservation online, then I am ONLY locking in the “online rate”, NOT the locker / storage unit itself. The locker / storage unit would be assigned to me randomly. We want to see the units in-person to get a look-and-feel of the available units and facility before making a commitment. Overall, the customer service over the phone was VERY passive and unhelpful. I kept getting cut off and referred to further services online, while trying to get my name and phone number. I left the call very frustrated as I was able to view the available units in the other locations. I am especially frustrated with the lack of in-person service during their business hours.

Great security for your storage. They have a small selection of packing supplies you can purchase. ! Staff is friendly. Not 24 hours.

Clean lockers, nice staff. Negatives not 24 hours. And most times only one staff on duty. So if u call, lots of times you have to leave a message. No one in office if the worker is doing rounds, or helping a customer by the lockers, or on one of the floors..

I needed assistance with finding a storage unit on short notice and was very stressed out. As a business owner, I was impressed by the quality customer service I received. When touring the units, Rose provided excellent customer service and was very helpful. With my experience, I would recommend the Waialae branch to my friends and family. Thank you Public Storage for employing individuals like Rose that genuinely care about helping customers.

Very wonderful experience, I plan on coming back again and storing my stuff again. Would highly recommend locking up yourself here.

I was greeted so nicely over the phone by your representative, Rose, at Kahala public storage. She showed me the available units to rent. I selected one. Rose helped me through the paperwork so I understood the process.She shows me how to access the storage building using the app. The whole experience was gratifying. Hands down Kahala public storage manager “Rose” is amazingly sweet, she helps and answers all your questions and goes over with you with everything and she makes you understand and feel so comfortable with everything. Storage is nice and clean there and i highly recommend anyone to go see her if you need storage’s. Thank you again rose for your help and happy holidays to you!

Awesome facility to store your stuff. Employees are amazing, especially Donna, who always greets me with a warm smile. The area is always clean and safe, so I highly recommend this place.

Could use a seat...I need to sit..moving is always exhausting and I do it on foot. Front Desk could use some interpersonal skills training

This facility is clean and the office staff is outstanding (and Donna is exceptional). When I failed to lock my unit properly they called me within hours; when I've asked them to check on something they've done it cheerfully. My only complaint has been the regular rate increases, which I understand are company-wide and are not in the control of local managers. This year's rate increase was unreasonably high.

I was actually trying to make a rental reservation at another location but both Rose and Donna at the Waialae location (hope I got their names right) graciously helped me. There is a lot of theft at Public Storage. It is a systemic problem. The one on Kapiolani is legendary for theft. It is also an issue for Waialae Ave

The customer service is friendly, reliable and very helpful. When they say they'll call back they actually do and they take the time to listen in order to resolve an issue. Wanted to recognize Jazmyn Woodard for our high standard of customer service and support. She’s very professional, responsive, thorough and diligent. She takes ownership of issues and handles them promptly even though she has hundreds of other clients to manage. I’ve seen her in very stressful situation handling third parties with poise and confidence. Her presence there makes me feel like an owner type minded person will take care of clients rather than being just an employee. I feel any company is fortunate to have someone with these attributes
