Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 530 S Main St, Alpharetta, GA

We have been a Public Storage customer for close to 7 years now. The facility has always been clean and our items have been well stored. No complaints with these services or the people that work for Public Storage. Our bill began at approximately $85/month and climbed to $375/month over this time. This amount became too expensive and we reviewed the app to see if there was a similar size for a lower amount. We found a same-sized unit on the same floor at our original price. I called the office to see if they could meet that price and the best they could do was knock $100/month off. We ended up moving our items from our original unit to the $85/month unit in 2 hours and have save ourselves close to $300/month. I am glad this worked out but I am frustrated that this couldn’t be handled in a more customer-friendly manner whereby the lower price was applied to the original unit.

This place is great. We had a hiccup with our online reservation which was annoying because we had to get the bin because of a family emergency, we were stressed because i had to move mom in law into her house because of a fall, and Angela helped us even though it was one minute until they closed. She fixed everything and we got our move done quickly. Thank you Angela for all your help.

I have been with this particular location off and on for several years, but a few days ago I was there and my app would not work to open the doors for me. A staff member named Missy took the time to walk me through some troubleshooting steps and helped me get it working again. Then she helped me locate a cart and walked with me to get it around the whole building, so I wouldn’t get lost. She did all of this even though she was on her way out of the door to go home. This is pure excellence, and I sincerely appreciate her customer service on a day that was severely difficult for me. You never know what people are going through and her kindness meant the world to me!

Ms Vita and the Public Storage Kiosk staff have been nothing but helpful and efficient. Had underestimated my storage needs and the team was so kind and quick to help me transfer to a larger unit. Ms. Vita specifically had helped me get a new access code when my old one was deactivated (wasnt notified so maybe the computer system could use a once over there) Overall fabulous service and staff.

Ms Vita met me at the storage and provided me with what I needed to secure my storage door. She is a real professional and very kind in her delivery as she provided the necessary means for locking my storage door. What a credited employee for Public Storage.

Easy to manage

Update 01/19/24: We finally we able to move our belongings out and there was a massive leak in the back of our 10x25 unit. Ruined our expensive mattresses, boxes of belongings including sentimental, irreplaceable memories and so much more. Expensive, high end furniture all wet and discolored, warped. We spent over $400 a month on a storage unit to literally walk away with ruined belongings. We should have just thrown all of our items away and not even paid for storage In the first place at this point! Not only are we out $10k but our items are all destroyed! Can't even lift the mattress because it's so waterlogged and moldy. Sadly, you call and they tell you there is nothing they are willing to do to help the situation. They are in breach od contract for not providing a climate controlled facility which you pay for. I'm sorry, climate Controlled goes beyond the AC not working (which it didn't for months and months- literally gave me a $20 credit for that) climate controlled means its not RAINING water all over your belongings! I'm so livid and heartbroken that they literally do not care about making any effort to remedying this situation. The rude idiot on the phone Shea from "corporate office" continuously repeated "per your contract" and "need to file insurance". Well y'all can have my expensive, water filled, moldy mattresses. What about my contract that says I rent a CLIMATE CONTROLLED UNIT!! You will be hearing from our attorney. PLEASE DO NOT RENT FROM THIS FACILITY!!!!! Zero accountability. AUGUST 2023: Horrible facility. The climate control does not work. It has been months since it has worked. They charge for climate control and randomly increase the prices. Next month they are raising the price to over $400 for a "climate controlled" unit when this is in fact not functioning. There is no human property assistance on location. There is a kiosk that you can chat with customer service- except that kiosk has not functioned in quite some time either. The lower elevator smells of sour toxic lawn chemicals or lye. With the broken climate control this smell is heightened and makes it almost unbearable to breathe. Amazing how a property manager is earning an income when he either obviously has not visited the property in months or just does not care to fix these issues. There is no way that Mr. manager is clueless to these issues. Spare yourself the issues of pretty much non existent customer service, false descriptions, excessive security code input requirements to use the elevator, foul-toxic odors (probably covering up a dead body in there) and over charging. Public Storage is a racket and they do not care about the facilities, your belongings or your pocket book. Speaking from experience.

Moving experience was very good! S main st location is very clean and easily accessible to storage unit. Vita, the on location manager, gave me great customer service! Definitely recommend, lowest prices!

I am positively bursting with joy as I wholeheartedly recommend this place to every living soul on this planet. Who wouldn't want to indulge in the sheer ecstasy of non-existent customer service and the sheer delight of renting a storage unit in a perpetually filthy and astonishingly poorly maintained property? It's an absolute dream come true! And why bother with a main office staffed by actual human beings who might assist you? That's just too mainstream! And who needs silly things like boxes and tape? I mean, who needs to pack their belongings properly, right? Restroom facilities? Pfft, talk about luxury! Just bring along your trusty cup for all your biological needs. Oh, and let me tell you about my charming encounter with a discarded, filthy mattress in the elevator. It's like they hired a team of bed bugs as their property managers. Such attention to detail! Now, let's discuss the climate control system. It's an absolute masterpiece! It possesses the uncanny ability to keep you shivering like a leaf in the dead of winter and sweating profusely like a marathon runner in the scorching summer months. Who needs comfort, right? And let us not overlook the elevator, a constant source of entertainment as it conveniently decides not to work. What a delightful surprise every time! And have I mentioned the cutting-edge mobile phone code entry system via Bluetooth? It's a true marvel! When it decides to function, which is about as often as their app remembers you exist. So, my dear friend, I implore you to do yourself an enormous favor and sprint away from this heavenly abode as fast as your legs can carry you. It's an absolute gem, utterly priceless. And oh, let's not forget the icing on the cake their impeccable customer service! The representatives over the phone are the epitome of politeness and professionalism. I simply can't help but yearn for more things to complain about. Oh, what a truly marvelous and joyous experience it has been, indeed!

How sad that for over five years we have trusted this place and had positive experiences but NO MORE!!!!!!! Now there is no one on site and it is a nightmare ! No dollies because they are in a locked room so no one steals them! Then we go to our unit for some reorganizing and in the middle of a heatwave NO AC !!! We sweated till we were sopping wet , lightheaded and sick . Had to leave . Called some natl customer service but there is NEVER going to be a human person again and that picture of the two happy men conversing on the website now no longer exists! If you want a climate controlled facility with a local person there , then this is NOT the place for you!!!

This is the absolute worst storage facility I have ever used. Broken carts and hand trucks. Entry Codes that don’t work and unresponsive customer service. No on site personnel. The kiosk for live help doesn’t function nor does the climate control. Had two units for two months and bailed out. Also considerably dark inside. Had to use flashlights in our unit. Don’t waste your money and will never use public storage again. You live and learn. Avoid this place.

If you're looking for a climate controlled storage, this is not it. It is HOT, sweating hot, although advertised as climate controlled. While the exterior and halls of the building is "clean" the bathrooms are mostly locked, hard to find and disgustingly dirty. I found the bathroom by smelling it. It seems to not have been cleaned in months.

Review is for location at 11195 Alpharetta Highway location: Do not rent from this facility numerous water leaks in units and public storage haven't been able to communicate and fix the problem. Going on 8 months with water damaged items and I have to move out of the unit and I hope others are okay. Update 1-25-2023 unit is still leaking and noticed many more units leaking on 1-25-2023 be careful of renting a unit wait until it rains to see if unit is leaking.

This is really a well run facility! Love how clean it is and the temperature control. Robert is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Great experience.

For the alpharetta location... I've been working with Robert at your store for years now. Having multiple units in GA and FL, Robert is truly so diligent and friendly and accommodating. Very professional which makes it even better for those tough to have conversations or payment snafus. I never write reviews but he's great and takes his job seriously. Makes me and My choice to use public storage feel safe and secure. Great hire. Give this man a raise!

I’m so grateful for all the help we received from property managing team Robert, Marge and Donna at SOuth Main St Alpharetta Public Storage. We had an issue with our unit and they helped us resolve the problem fully. Thank you for this. We are long term renters and now we know we can leave our precious belongings and head to Europe for next two years and everything is safe and secure.

Tremendously courteous and professional, Robert is the best! That’s why we keep our storage items at this location, so many other options around but none come close in customer service!
