Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 1600 W Sample Road, Pompano Beach, FL

I had an issue with my unit and Rachel walked with me to my unit herself to help me. She was so nice and friendly. I also needed some assistance regarding an issue with my last bill and Rachel was able to clearly inform me of my options. Public storage is so very lucky to have Rachel. Thank you again so much!

If there was a way to rate things on Google lower than 1 star, this place would be the lowest rated thing on it. Complete joke, from corporate to the 'management' and 'staff' they hire, which is more like a work release program than efficient employees. The only time they even pretend to do any work is when a district manager or supervisor is stopping in. No customer service. Good luck getting someone on a phone or getting a call returned and it's hit or miss if anyone is ever in the office as well. Place stays dirty, cameras are broken, gate is often broken, the doors you pay extra for to enter with a code / for added security are completely open and accessible, they have had only one working elevator out of two for 8+ months after having them break down alternately for months before that. Got stuck in one for a few minutes a few months ago with no one to reach on the phone there. Only recently 'working' again, we'll see how long that lasts. Not to mention no access to restrooms. Moving during office hours and need to use one? Hope you're there on the 1 put 100 days that they're staffed and can open it for you. Moving after 5 PM? Too bad. No restrooms for you at all. Hey, what do you expect as a paying customer? Service? Cart situation is the same. Bring your own or walk it up by hand. Don't be fooled by their 'low' pricing, you're also getting everything you'd expect for that 'value' and nothing you'd expect from a functioning business.

The place is very clean and organized, but the most especial think was Rachel. She helped us a lot and was very kind.

I appreciate Shakira in the front office for taking out the time and two doing my reservation while also ensuring I have the perfect size and rate to accommodate me. In addition to this I’ve been here close to a month I can never get a hold of anyone to get carts/dolly in the front. You literally have to stand and call and wait and hope someone will come to assist. No access to restrooms and hardly any access to dollies when coming to the property. Leave messages on voicemail and wait l, a complete disregard I wish this would improve with this company. It makes no sense to rent a storage and you have to literally just catch the office open to get carts or assistance. A white lady im office seen me outside while she was hiding behind the wall inside or back office and allowed a gentleman to come in and disregarded me. I waited 40 mins outside!! She then reappeared and I knocked on the door then she finally let me in and said oh I’m sorry Rachel bla bla bla… I told her I only wanted a dolly and that she seen me waiting to be helped. The day that my payment for storage was due I came to find an additional lock on it to keep me from getting in it. Not one day late but the day of I’m honestly in disbelief the way managers or on site property managers treat us paying customers for storing our property.

The person who picked them used someone else paypal account to purchase items that they did not pay. There is a loss of 2500 USD, please help me to reach them or identify them so I can recover those. Andreana was friendly and made sure to go over all the important details with me, including helping me to set up my account on the Public Storage app which hadn't worked for me previously! Bathrooms are always out of order and inside floors are always dirty. I understand that this is a storage place and not a shopping mall but clean floors and working bathrooms are imperative in any business. (If not the law, in some places) *** Update. Ever since my original review bathroom has always been operational. Girl at the reception/office is very good so I am upgrading my review from 2 to 4 stars. It’s great when business listen to customers.

I used this location for 3 years since I moved down to Florida. I kept having to reduce and move storages because every few months I would get a email that they were increasing the monthly fee. In January of this year I had to change again and had just paid for a bigger storage. The young lady at the counter couldn't apply a pro-rated amount back to my account and told me to call the manager the next day or customer service. I tried this but to ko avail. Now I turn in the storage because of another rate increase. My wife tried to inform them that we wanted to turn the storage in but there was no one in the office. She tried 2x on 6/31 but the office was closed both times. Since we had to go back in 7/1, we left a couple of last things and were going back to sweep the storage. When I go to the office to close the storage I'm told I have to pay for the entire month pf July, and to call customer service about my issues because she has no control over this. She was on her way out of the office and only asked for the storage number and had to go. I call customer service and all they wanted to know was if I had accessed the storage that day. Because I did, they couldn't do anything. I call the location and left two messages stating that I wanted to be sure the storage wasn't closed but no call back then I get an email stating it was closed and I owed $273.71 for the month of July. So now they're double dipping. Having me pay for the month and then they have the storage that they can rent as well. Prior to all this, in 2021, they had a water leak over my storage and I had Wedding albums and memories destroyed. Insurance pays pennies for the damages and you don't get your memories back. Buyer beware. Read all the fine print because there's a lot in there that only makes money for them and takes money out of our pockets. I don't usually review or post but this has me livid!!

So I've already complained to everyone I can, 1600 West sample rd 33064. That location has homeless people living out of the units, there are no flat beds, because the homeless have horded them. The property "management" said they can't force people to give up the flat beds. There are people always fixing their old junk cars in the lots, especially fun when they block the loading Bay. Again "Management" say they can't do anything. So I canceled but I can't get my stuff out of storage because the loading dock is always blocked and because there are never any flatbeds because they're being hoarded by homeless people living in their units and nobody seems to want to help. What's the point of having property Management

Made a reservation for a 10x20 upper floor unit, received an email confirmation number & toured the facility and unit on 6-27-22. I went online to confirm the reservation today, 6-28-22 and it was gone. I called Public Storage reservations and was told that the confirmation number had been rented by someone with a different name?? Really, how is that possible? I then called the facility and was told the reservation is there but I have to go in-person to rent. A few minutes later a lady calls me to ask for my email address which I provided. I received an email with a NEW reservation number for a 1st floor 10x10 unit which I NEVER requested. I called the facility and told them to cancel the new reservation (which I never made) and that I would rent at another location. It seems that perhaps someone canceled my reservation without my authorization or consent.

Three years ago, the monthly rate was less than $100. Now it's $236. Thank God my divorced son finally bought a house. We spent three hours repacking for the move to Missouri. Despite the price increase that's literally doubled, like most real estate in Florida, I will say that this 10x10 foot unit NEVER leaked or become infested with bugs, lizards or other annoying critters.

It was my first time renting at public storage this young ladie name Andreana was super nice &professional helpful and explanatory. From the time i walk -in she was very welcome. Customer service was on point .👍👍👍👍👍

It's a new facility but as typical once you are in, they keep raising the rates without notice and there is no way to have a yearly agreement so you are at their mercy.
