Initial rental was a problem, as the manager was only present 2 days a week. Local customer service was basically non-existent. Both security gates were broken for first six months. Rental rate started out as competitive but increased by 35% after 5 months and another 26% after another 6 months.

It was a pleasure doing business with Nancy at Public Storage, located at 4151 Burns Road in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
This was my first time here - I'd taken advantage of Public Storage's Memorial Day Sale to reserve one inside, air conditioned unit and one drive-up one outside - and Nancy helped me to find my units, get the locks and understand the access devices.
This storage facility's features include:
• Climate Control Storage;
• Car Storage;
• Small, Medium and Large Storage
Units; and
• Indoor and Outdoor Storage Units.
You can reserve a storage unit, obtain insurance, make a payment and set up automatic payments on-line.
You also can download the Public Storage App to your mobile device, which allows the door and gate locks to open on the proximity of your phone - no having to key in codes to access your inside or outside storage units.
Nancy explained that each storage unit is cleaned before being made available. And she pointed out the new lock and pair of keys that were waiting for me just inside the door to my unit.
Nancy was so kind and helpful, I'll look forward to seeing her when I come to this self-storage facility.
The gate access hours for this clean and well-run business are 6.00 a.m. to 9.00 p.m. seven days a week.
If you're a "newbie" like me needing a little "hand holding" to get started, or if you have business to transact with staff, need to purchase moving supplies, or don't want to reserve and pay for your storage unit on-line, the office hours are Monday through Friday from 9.30 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 9.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.

Nasty dirty storage facility. No one ever on site. Lights barely work. Claimed to have AC -they keep it at 80 degrees. GOOD LUCK IN SUMMER! Unsafe no cameras in the scary hallways. MANAGED IS SO RUDE BEWARE. No one will return your call and if they do they will hang up on you if they don't like what you have to say!

Raised my rate every few months until I was paying nearly $250 when I originally started at $100. Was literally yelled at like a child for trying to keep the door open when moving things in and was accused of “skipping out” and felt like a damn criminal when I went to empty it and go to the same sized unit for less than half the price less than 10 miles away where I’ve already had a much better experience. Awful customer service overall and never had a kind thing to say in my years there, I’d recommend any other storage unit facility and there’s plenty of them in the area.

If I was able to give 0 stars I would. I made a reservation the beginning of the week for an appointment on Thursday. Things happened so I was unable to come in that day so I made another reservation for the following day Friday the 15th. When I arrived to the location at 5:45, the door was locked and inside appeared to be closed due to the lights that was turned off. Visibly I can see a older lady sitting at the desk. I knocked and she got up and opened the door. No greeting no nothing, just cold attitude like she seemed bothered by something. I ignored it and I simply said that I’m here for my appointment. “Is your name so and so”? She said with such aggressive tone. I told her yes I am, so she proceeded to tell me with aggression that she have been trying to contact me and “something is wrong with my phone”. I told her I did see that you called and left a voicemail but I am a very busy person but I am here now for my reservation. I also told her that I don’t know if I have a previous balance and to see if I did because if I did then the storage wouldn’t be able to go under my name. I was not even there for more than 5 minutes and I already knew that’s not the correct way to speak to a potential customer. She did tell me that I did in fact owe on a unit and so that was my Que to leave and said that I would have my daughter rent the space. As I was walking out, a white lady came in and she immediately changed her tone of voice into something more customer service friendly tone to that lady. Then she yelled out where was I going and if I don’t go through with the reservation that I wouldn’t get to rent the unit for that online price. I told her that’s ok, she can go ahead and cancel the reservation that way it can free up so my daughter can rent it online and go through with renting the rental process.
All in all I want to say is that this lady need more training in how to treat certain “people” if you notice the reviews, it’s “certain people saying she is doing a “good job”. As someone who used to work for public storage back 3 to 4 years ago, I know for a fact how that lady treated me in their was not right. So what I didn’t answer my phone. So what something was “wrong with my phone” all that was non of her business in to why there was “something wrong with my phone” my number so happened to be disconnected later in the week which I did tell her, but again that is not her business why I didn’t answer my phone. I left public storage not because I wanted to leave, but because I was simply bored of the job so I went on to became a manager at another work place. My numbers was very high and I brought revenue at the location I was working at in public storage and all my customers was very satisfied with me because I always go above and beyond to help them with their rental needs. I was so good that the District manager begged me to stay (she was an excellent DM by the way) because I had superb customer skills and that all the customers and not just certain customers loved me. This Nancy lady need to be investigated. I am hoping to hear back from her manager.

From my first phone conversation with Nancy to my visit to view the unit, she was absolutely fantastic! Friendly, patient, and she took the time to answer all of my questions (and I had a lot of them!). The rental process was super easy and quick, and it felt like I was doing business with a friend. Nancy treated me like a person, not just a customer, and I truly appreciated that!

She then went back to her office and prepared all of the necessary paperwork needed to make that transfer while I was moving from one unit to another which was awesome as I was crunched for time! She was very thoughtful courteous and had a beautiful smile on throughout the whole process. She is truly an asset do your company.
