I been renting for almost 3 years a 5x10, how is it online they’re starting at $67 but I’m paying $215 a month for a small storage unit and the bigger ones are cheaper than what I pay! It’s ridiculous honestly and such a scam

Recently rented a storage unit with Karla the property manger. She was wonderful to deal with and very willing to help. I was having issues with my online reservation and she spent nearly 2 hrs with me getting it sorted out. She helped me get the size I needed at a great price. She did all this in 100 degree plus temperatures while working in a non air-conditioned storage unit since their office is being renovated currently. It was nice to deal with someone who cared about providing great customer service.
The facility is also very nice. Currenlty under renovation. Clean with fresh paint. Great location if located near Dean and Lake Underhill. But the real reason I rented there was because the help I recieved from Karla. If she wasn't willing to help me with my reservation issue, I definitely would have gone elsewhere.

Arranged everything over the phone BEFORE I arrived to actually take possession of the unit. After 30 minutes with "customer service" and then another 20 minutes on site with my initial load of storage, I was informed that the $1 move in special offer they were advertising did not apply to my rental as it wasn't valid "this month" even though it is clearly advertised. I thought to myself ok...I did not read the small print...my mistake. Then, right before paying for the unit and finalizing everything, I was advised that they required "insurance". I asked why wasn't that disclosed when I started the process? "I don't know" was the clerk's reply. I turned right around and went to Uhaul. Sute Uhaul is slightly more expensive, but they offer more variety and they don't attempt a "bait and switch on potential customers." Very disappointing experience to say the least. Know before you go would be my advice.

Terrible customer service and lease agreements! I mean seriously making me pay for a full month for vacating on the "first"(unit empty on the 31st)! No pro-rate offered! Half of my belongings destroyed because of their not so "temperature controlled" unit and bugs!! Call customer service wait 20 plus minutes get transferred around to practically be told oh well nothing we can do pay the month or get sent to collections! Don't rent with them! Plenty of other Storage companies the offer better solutions!!

Was having a day i thought i should not of gotten out of bed, needed a place to store my daughters Christmas gift (piano)he was closing in 5min but he went above and super beyond ,made sure i got the size i needed and nothing bigger as money was an issue he helped me messure the piano and unit 3 times making sure i would have enough space without damaging my property he was of super help and flipped my day from bad to great with the atention, understanding and service he offered me.
