Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 4080 Tampa Road East, Oldsmar, FL

Looking for a place to store your belongings you worked your hard earned money for? Do you expect mold and mildew after everything is soaked with water somehow from the fire sprinklers? Then this is the place for you! Oh but wait! There's more! Public Storage has a zero accountability policy. So you can file a claim with some fly by night insurance company and cross your fingers! Neat huh?

Astrid was very helpful and professional! HOWEVER, the company itself is a disaster! We rented 7 units and 3 of them sustained water damage!! These were on ground and third level. The insurance is a joke! We took pictures, had the manager document everything, but the insurance company said that they would not pay because we didn’t have a police report. Really, police are going to take the time to come make a report and we have to pay help and truck fees while we wait!! NEVER AGAIN WILL WE USE PUBLIC STORAGE in Tampa/Oldsmar!!!

Location has roof leaks in some units

The experience was easy and they had the unit I needed in climate controlled environment. The only issue was the online payment could not be confirmed but the reservation was! They communicated very well with and set an appt same day with the manager (Al ). Al was great, handled everything and was an overall nice guy. He showed me the unit to confirm prior to finalizing everything and explained things thoroughly!! Thank you Al!

I've been at the Public Storage on 4080 Tampa Road in Oldsmar for over 15 years. The service that Astrid and (former mngr) Rosemary have provided me is nothing short of exemplary. Astrid most recently has assisted me with billing questions and a few storage changes. She always has a friendly greeting when I arrive on property. 5 stars across the board!!!! I switched between units at the Oldsmar facility. Astrid was very courteous and helpful. She got me through the transaction quickly and efficiently. She is a pleasure to work with.

The staff here is wonderful. The woman that helped me was very thorough in explaining everything and set me up with a better unit than the one I had previously booked. She did her absolute best to make sure I pleased with my purchase.

really nice storage not expensive at all, my Boston MA storage is 2x more, Astrid is very friendly and helpful ! she helped me pick the best unit, i'm very grateful! the outside units aren't climate controlled but very cheap, perfect for me as i'm just keeping my clothes and shoes. Moving from Boston to Tampa.

Part of the reason why I visited this location was the raving reviews and I was not disappointed. All the reviews spoke of Rosemary and how amazing she is and they did not lie. She is absolutely Amazing!! Thank you Rosemary for the positive experience. The facility is very clean and well kept. I have been at this facility for 6 months now and I'm really happy with my choice. Did have a slight rate increase, but Judson got me approved for a rate decrease for the next 3 months, which is amazing! They go above and beyond to help you and make you comfortable! Great customer service!!

At first everyone was great and the facility is clean, after only a few months my rent went up 40 dollars! Then I had called because I was going to be a few days late, they said no problem. I ended up with a 53 dollar late fee. That is not good customer service.

I had a convoluted situation with two storage rooms rented for my company by a (now former) employee. The units are located at the other PS location further west on Tampa Rd. which is typically only staffed by a person on a kiosk screen. Luckily, the individual on the kiosk directed me toward this location for the help I needed. A very gracious, patient and smart woman named Rosemary figured out just how to help me —-and saved me a significant amount of money as well on my new rental agreement. It was such a joy to come across someone like her when dealing with a mess I did not create, but kind of inherited. I appreciate her excellent customer service.

I have been a customer at this Public Storage for several years. Yeah, there are others and some are even closer to home but because of the facility's manager, Rosemary, is why I stay here. If it's customers service, knowledge and recognizing you by your first name when you enter the building, then this is why you should store all your prize possessions at this location. With about 14 years of experience, Rosemary makes you feel like family not just another number if you will! It's like going to your favorite restaurant and your greeted by calling out your name, same here. I like the personal touch in a person and this place, along with Rosemary, has it! I highly recommend stopping by and see for yourself if your are in the market for a storage unit. Try several others first then give this one a look see and you will soon agree with me that this is where you will be doing business. A++ staff and facility!!!! OK...it's been about 2 years since I left my review and feel compelled to give an update to what I've said above. I'm still here renting space and still dealing with the very knowledgeable and friendly, Rosemary! She now has about 16 years experience and still going strong! While somethings stay the same, like the super staff, but what did change was a remodeling of the main lobby and looking really spiffy! New counters with plexiglass shields in place for everyone's protection. I personally think that this Public Storage is at the top of its class. Come to find out it is also both a training and meeting facility for all the Public Storage's in the surrounding area! You remember that commercial "If It's Borden, It's Got To Be Good," well apply that slogan to this facility by changing one word and see for yourself! Another year has gone by and time for another update at my favorite storage facility. Yes, Rosemary is still there and the main reason why I am! You know how you like to go to your favorite restaurant, do tor, car mechanic etc., this is the same feel. Her knowledge and experience makes this facility shine above the rest. When I went there the other day to pay for my storage, she was training, which is another attribute of hers, Laurie in being a future service rep. Read the other reviews, Rosemary was key in why others decided to go with this facility. Understanding your needs and helping you thru the process is her forte! Why settle for less when the "best" is right here. Get on down and see for yourself!

It hasn't been a good experience. I definitely heard critters running around when I opened the door. They don't pro rate! 1 day into the next month, and it's a full month charge. That is a mindset of profit over people, which is a Corporate Value. I'm sorry, Public Storage, but you can't pretend it's something else. The prices are ok, but check other places first.

First time buyers of a storage unit and gotta say the customer service is great Astrid answered all our questions and we got our stuff in the unit quickly

Angela when I first rented was great, and today when I went in to reserve a larger unit to move into, Rosemary and Astrid worked together and did a great job walking through the new rental and confirming what’s needed and when to cancel/vacate the other unit prior to add’l charges for another month.

Rosemary is outstanding to work with. Have rented at several area facilities and this one is the best by far. Value, price and great customer service.

I am so sorry I used them. I told them I wanted climate control and gave them sq footage. I ended having to get another rental. They have insulation on the ceiling that covers all your stuff what a mess. I have to pay on the first even though my check hits on the third auto pay did not work in Feb so charged a late fee. The problem on there end. The company does not prorate period. So if moving out on the first which I am charging me the whole month. Will never use them again. So not cool. Customer service sort of 🦨 stinks

Rosemary was amazing & very helpful, especially after I arrived here for my scheduled appointment a day prior and the store was closed between the hours of 12 & 130pm when I arrived, which I was given no prior notification about. I almost chose not to rent from this facility, however Rosemary called me the next day was very sweet and helpful & able to get me into a storage unit. If it wasn’t for her I would be renting from another facility. Thank you Rosemary for being so amazing!

We are in the bicycle business and use Public Storage for inventory overflow. We have rented as many as 3 units. Public Storage has always worked hard to accommodate our business as our needs have changed. Their units are clean and secure. Move in and move out are easy both physically and administratively. Best we have found.

Rosemary provided FANTASTIC CUSTOMER SERVICE. The Public Storage up the street did not have anyone at the facility to help so I called and she advised if I could come to her location she would take care of me. I needed to downsize units and she was able to help facilitate that process, waive the administration fee since I was already a customer along with other issues that I was unable to do myself in the online process. Rosemary went above and beyond to make sure she kept my business along with making sure I had everything I needed to make the transition to the new unit. I highly recommend using Public Storage because of Rosemary.

Am a nurse .my unit is at the curlew storage on and it’s under renovation and I went to the 4080 one. Mrs. Angela was wonderful. She took me in with a smile and positive energy. Love her personality I stayed there talking with her . I hope they value her. I never had this type of experience in other public storage I been too.

We decided to travel around the world for a couple of years and store our most important belongings in a storage shed. After reading reviews, we decided to go with Public storage. We booked online a unit at the Tarpon Springs location in March and received a confirmation email and phone call. We loaded our car and arrived there. A man on reception said we don’t have any booking and he has no idea who called us and which booking we are talking about, even after I showed him our confirmation email. I felt disappointed with this unprofessional behavior. I wrote a review and the next day received an apology phone call from district manager. She said sorry and that she would give us the same monthly rate as promised, but at the Tampa Road Oldsmar location. There we met Rosy who was nice to us and showed us a unit and gave us a key. But I was still worried what if they will jerk up the price in month and two since this area’s monthly rates are higher than the one we wanted in Tarpon Springs. After I asked, I was assured that won’t happen. I was told, even if, in the future it does happen, I could always call property manager and discuss a better price. This sounded fair at the time. Now, four months later, they raised the price by more than 25%. I’ve been calling them from the last serval days, but no one has received my calls and no one answered my messages. Now we are in Asia and feel trapped. We cannot do anything but continue to pay them. I am so disappointed with this development. I'm revising this review for four star because property manager did contact me.

Let me start by saying that I was never initially impressed with Public Storage as a company, they were actually my last choice for Renta space , in regards to bad experiences in my past , and really just rented here out of convenience to location. I Love!!!, this Location !!! So much ! It's super clean and well maintained! The staff is super attentive and take pride in giving supreme customer service ! The manager Rosie would get 11 stars from me if it was possible! Public Storage has A Rock Star on their team for sure! She knows the compan y standards and surpasses them by far in my opinion. For all your storage needs you can trust the team at 4080 to suppass any expectations for a storage facility. Edit still a great facility but not happy about rate increase due to property face-lift. The bathroom toilet leaks and the faucet is not installed properly . Rosie is still a Rockstar!

Definitely do not like the fact that the longer you rent the more money you start to pay. We started at a $100 a year ago and now we are over $212 for a 10 by 10

This storage facility increased our rent by $100 after a few months while advertising that same size unit for the same price we were original paying. I left messages for manager to call me back but never got a return call. I got online and chatted with their customer support and explained the situation. They agreed that I could still rent the same size unit for the same price I was originally paying and suggested that I rent a new unit, move our stuff & cancel the original unit. I opted to move my stuff to a cheaper and more honest storage facility up the road.

Rosemary was extremely helpful, courteous, and professional. She took care of our needs quickly and efficiently.

A warning to those of you considering renting here. Our monthly rate for our outside unit just went up 20% a month starting May 1. From $364.32 to $437.81. Increase of $73.49. A month. And the prices shown on their website do NOT include taxes or required insurance. In my case, that alone adds up to $37.91 each month. Shop around.
