Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 8305 Ulmerton Road, Largo, FL

Easy to get setup, very friendly folks at the office and it's exactly what I needed!

Price very rapidly increases within a year. If you're looking for a couple months of storage, you'll have nothing to worry about. Pricing is fair and understandable. If you're having financial difficulties and for some reason (like me) end up keeping your things in a unit for a year, you'll see more than a quadruple rent increase with no added benefits. The security is the same, the sanitation is the same, the pest control is the same, and the unit is still the same. No a/c in the units, huge roach and rodent problem. I opened my unit to find my chairs and desks covered in large roaches. Luckily I keep all my stored things in plastic bags and well organized or I'm not sure how many more would've been hiding in my belongings. I feel sorry for the other units as well because constantly I saw roaches crawl under the other doors. Starting at only $65, my rent ended up being $250 for their 10x10 (with the $50 late fee) because of the steadily increasing rate which was blamed on "demand for their units" when I questioned. Personally I couldn't financially support holding onto my things anymore with such an insane price, and frankly I didn't want the chewed up, waste-covered, and infested furniture anymore. I had gotten most of it from family as gifts for my first apartment, but I'll move on. On top of that they also intend to charge an extra month after I've moved out of my unit, as their final scam. So now, I have a question for the reader: If I'm to pay to use the unit before having access to anything, and every month rent is paid at the start of the month to cover use of said unit for that month, does it make sense to charge full price for an extra month after the unit has been vacated and the storage has been notified? Please take into consideration also, if your belongings ended gaining an unwanted infestation of roaches from them being stored here. The only reason they don't get 1 star is because they did allow me to pay late when I was jobless and in a worse position than I am in now. And if you're questioning if maybe I was just behind and that's my leftover balance, no. I was actually ahead on payments up until a month ago when bills kept increasing and I couldn't pay ahead like I normally do. I'll attach a screenshot for verification.

Excellent place, customer friendly. The only part was a puddle right by my unit I had to slosh through! Otherwise very nice and secure!

I tried to book online but there was some computer problems went to look at one location price changed within hours of me looking at it three times. Went to another location to look at another unit. I explained all this to the young lady that was helping me at that location on Seminole and she ended up helping me book the original one closer to my house at the price I first saw online she was very helpful

I rented a storage unit today and had the pleasure of being assisted by Jerry. He provided exceptional service and made the entire process smooth and enjoyable. Jerry and his coworkers were incredibly helpful, explaining everything I needed to know and more. Their positive attitudes and professionalism were truly impressive. Highly recommended!

There's nobody in the office ever!!!

I have had stuff stored here. I have paid 200$ a month with insurance to find out there's a HUGE RAT infestation. All of my clothes are RUINED!!!! All of my bedding, towels, pillows, furniture, and boxes of important papers...RUINED!!!! I HAVE tried to call several times. No one answers the phones, nor do they return a call about this issue. I'd go check your stuff if it is stored here. More than 50% of my belongings are trashed! Will provide pictures for proof! Negative star review

This is the best experience I’ve had since I moved here 5 weeks ago! I went in, told the young lady what I need, she gave it to me including a special and we were set in 15 minutes! Clean, honest (so far), helpful, easy, no attitude but kindness, and I would not hesitate to rent here (so far)!

Unfortunately this storage is completely outdated. The " street" is so narrow that you can't go in with a standard u-haul trailer. The restrooms are always closed and the office is not occupied during posted business hours. But the worst..all of our stuff was infested by cockroaches and tons of cockroach droppings in the room .Be aware of the mandatory insurance costs driving the posted rate up significantly.

Full of rats and cockroaches. And they said they would refund for lock. Nope. Says 10 x 15 but is only 13 and a half feet.

They run a very tight ship they to me are overpriced my unit cost me $307 a month and I just recently lost my job so it is killing me to keep it but it is my whole house of stuff what to do what to do?

They were fantastic!

They have better deals online than they do in-store (but that’s standard practice nowadays). The real star of the show here is the staff. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Myrtie is the best! Moving can be super stressful but my interaction with her made my day. Extremely sweet and professional. Public Storage is very lucky to have her and I hope she gets the recognition she deserves in the company.

I've had a larger 10x10 unit for the last 2 months and I was finally able to move most my stuff out. I still had some stuff I didn't want to take so I asked to move into a smaller unit. Lisa helped me big time and found me the perfect unit inside that fit everything I had. The process was super easy even with some computer issues. Thanks for the help. Definitely recommend this place.

My dad needed a storage unit to store a large trailer, called Public Storage and Myrtie answered. She found me several options within 10 miles of my home, set up an appointment and same day my dad was able to move in. Stress free and awesome customer service. Location - 8305 Ulmerton Road, Largo FL. I don't think I have ever written a review before but the more I thought about what happened the more it made me mad. I had a reservation for a 10x30 unit to put some vehicles in storage to protect from the Hurricane hitting in Florida. I had left a message for them to call me as I had some questions related to the unit. She called me on 9/27 at 1:50. I asked my questions but she was very rude. She kept telling me they were closing at 2:00 due to hurricane. I said that I understood but still needed to get there to store my vehicles. I then said that as long as I could get there by 1:30 it would be fine? She said yes, so I told her I was on my way and it was at 20-25 minute drive. We arrived at exactly 1:20. The door was locked, lights out, and looked like nobody was there. I kept knocking on the door as I could see there was a purse sitting on the desk. She finally came out, unlocked the door and I went to pull the door open and she stopped me, and just barely opened the door and said, "what do you want?" I proceeded to tell her that I had just talked to her and she said it would be fine as long as I arrived by 1:30. She then denied this conversation, closed the door and lock it. Then went out the back. I saw her behind the gate and just said, you know, that was not nice and I drove all the way over here. She just kept yelling that we are closed and there is nothing I can do about it. I then referenced the time and that she said they were closing at 2:00. She then said that she had not said that and we are closed so you need to leave. So completely rude and she totally lied about it all. As a business owner myself, I'm sure this is not the reflection of the company as a whole, but if I ever heard anything like this about one of my employees, trust me, they would be fired. I would avoid this location.

Myrtle was quick, efficient and lovely to deal with. She made the process easy.

Finally found a storage place that fit my budget and was very quick about the process thanks to Myrtie ! She was very sweet and explained everything very well :)

Very hostile, had some random guy follow me in his truck and cuss me out for walking next to this building.

I had a storage here for 2 years everything went well,no issues.Inflation took me from $75 to $115 a month.

I’ve been a customer at this location for 3 years and the customer service has always been good, but today it was top notch! Trish went above and beyond to address my concerns about a rate increase and advocated for it to be waived. She was just as happy as I was when we got the approval!
