I had such a great experience with Kim! She went out of her way and devoted so much time & effort to making sure our needs were met. Soon after we researched availability of specific storage space with the big customer service “call center”, I received a call from Kim at the location we were researching (1801 Hypoluxo, Laantana, FL). She was helpful & informative, and willing to walk me through the rental application process step by step! When we arrived today, she took us in a golf cart to show us the specific unit.

I walked into the office this afternoon and was greeted by Shantel, the property manager. She was very sweet and knowledgeable. She took time to show me a few spaces in the 24 hour building and the gated building. We came back inside to finish signing the paperwork. Being that I moved in during the middle of the month, Shantel advised me on the prorated billing cycle so that I wouldn’t be shocked when I see the charges. That was much appreciated. When I first got my storage less than two years ago, I was very pleased with the prices and customer service. They even prorated my first month since I didn’t get the unit on the first. However, BEWARE that they up your storage unit price often. I started at around $47 and now I’m at almost $100 for the size right above the smallest one. Now I am about to clear out my unit come January 2 but the charge comes out on the first for the month. I spoke with Customer Service and a supervisor, and they are unwilling to prorate my charge. I am very unhappy with public storage seeing how they are trying to charge me $100 to keep my stuff there 2 days into the month. It’s funny how they are willing to prorate you when you’re getting in, but not in your last month. Don’t rent a storage space here. And they always keep you on hold when you have any questions but not when you’re trying to make a purchase for a new unit!

I would give zero stars, if possible this place is filled with rats, vermin, roaches and who knows what else.
I tried endlessly to rid the unit of the rodents and failed.
The attendant told me The neighboring unit used the storage as a pantry and attracted rodents to the whole building.
After baiting, spraying cleaning and washing all of my belongings I came back 2 months later to find it in worse condition then before. Rat feces on all of my belongings.
Oh and don’t expect their insurance to lend a hand, they cap the policy at a few hundred dollars if damage comes from rodents.
During the middle of all this l, instead of offering assistance or extermination they raise the rent by $40.
It hasn’t even been a year and I’ve had more headaches from this place then I did when I had COVID.
Oh yeah… place your faith in this place if you want 1 or 16 rats living and breeding in your boxes

The AC is literally never on, it constantly smells like mold, and when I finally began moving my belongings out, items were clearly damaged from rats and water leaks. I complained several times with no action, but didn't realize the extent of the damage until it was too late.

I rented an outside spot for my boat, i was reassured the property was safe. 5 days later, my boat was robbed for $1200. In electronics and my wire harness was cut causing $1387. In damage, because there gate was broken for 3 days. When I went to the office, the person had a picture from when my boat was robbed from the day before. He said he meant to call me. I asked for the security camera footage, he said he would call me. He never did. In my opinion the security is terrible, and the staff could care less. I would not use.

Bad I would never rent there anymore. I vacated my unit on the 29th of the month I removed the lock on the 5th of the which is the last grace pay period they still wanted to charge me the whole month that’s a ripoff. Not even as a courtesy… they still refused to wave it… that’s crazy.

Plenty of storage space available different variations and just to be known they do close earlier than 10:00 p.m or 11 p.m like they used to. for a late-night entrance you have to have your keypad code either way in or out do not go past 9 p.m cuz you will not be getting in.

This storage unit location is infested with rats. I have personal belongings that are in the climate control section and have been torn up and eaten by rodents and pee stain on my wedding dress, etc. I don't suggest storing any belongings that can be damaged by rodents at this location.
Items in storage for about 6 months. Looked like they been in here for years. Rat foot prints left on bed frames, ended up throwing away most items. After I moved out they still charge me for unit too. App is always giving me issues when trying to enter the gates. Nobody at the office has ever answered my calls all the times I’ve called since renting a unite, and when I come during business hours the office is empty and locked. Don’t expect any help for anyone. Clearly this place is just gross

I reserved a 10x30 space at this location. I couldn't believe what I saw when I opened the door. This place is rodent infested and an absolute dump. Rodent droppings all over. Not to mention the whole area full of nails and screws. If you leave a car or RV here, kiss your wiring harness goodbye, the rodents will eat them causing thousands in damage. I have units in other locations and there are no issues but this location at 1801 Hypuluxo Rd Lantana, FL is like nothing I've ever seen. How can they, with a straight face, rent to people. They reply" thanks for bringing it to our attention. How about since I never used the unit saying " Thanks, we would love to refund you the &400 you paid for this dump"
I still haven't heard from them after being promised a call by the area manager. Now they are still trying to collect a months rent from me. Still no refund except for the $20 lock. Stay away. I advise that the area manager take me off the collection list because I'm not paying either way.

Rats damaged my property, I moved out on the 4th and they won’t give me my money back that I paid on the 2nd.
Clean facility. UPDATE: for 2 months have had a horrible experience with the on-site rep trying to regain access to my unit. It's best to make an appointment if you want to speak to anyone even though office hours claim to be open from 9:30am - 6pm
STAY AWAY UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR THINGS DESTROYED BY RATS. After leaving some items here for a couple of months, I stopped by today to retrieve some items and found animal droppings. I called the front office and the staffer said it was from rodents and provided no help but a nasty attitude. They expressed that this an issue that they have and provided no recourse. FRONT OFFICE STAFFING IS TERRIBLE AS WELL AS CORPORATE. I’m not sure if they’re aware but rats carry diseases.

But they go over and Beyond to try to help their customers feel safe secure and have their items managed to the best possible caliber. Very nice people work here. Locally managed is always GREAT! For past 11 mo. I've always encountered Friendly and very accommodating personnel. Open 7 days and renters allowed in property after business hours up until reasonable times.Property managers available onsite.They use convenient extended business hours.Location is PERFECT for I95 ACCESS in literally 30 seconds!! I rented my specific unit with no A/C,so just beware if you are working in this type of unit, it gets quite hot,quickly, when working+moving stuff.Be sure to Bring drinks/prepare to sweat if you're going to be working for a bit. Right next to a new WaWa with good food and nice folks working there.

THEIVES, Don't waste your money at Public Storage. They advertise a price, tack on 50.00 worth of fees and taxes and then don't tell you, that you have to pay a prorated amount so that you pay monthly on the 1st every month regardless of your rental date. Even if you move out they will keep your prorated payment. They do not hold accountability or responsibility as a company for their poor business practices, policies and terrible customer service. This is for both corporate and the location itself.
BUYER BEWARE: Location is infested with cockroaches and mice. My space had mouse bait and holes in it as well as dead and living roaches present. I only rented less than a month and they were already moving into my temporarily stored items during a move.

Drew was a great help. He took me to my interior unit because I couldn’t tell where it was from the street. He was helpful, knowledgeable, and nice! They didn’t have dollies for use since apparently people keep stealing them but for the price I take that as the price of doing business.
