I have been a customer of Public Storage for over 25 years, even back when they were Shurguard Storage. I have had multiple lockers at 4 locations, all satisfactory experiences. But my latest locker at the Knights Road location in Hollywood, Florida is my best experience ever. The manager, Marissa, is the most “on the ball” manager I’ve ever had. She runs a tight ship and is super friendly and helpful. I’m moving my other two lockers to that location because I’m most satisfied with Marissa.

Hardly go to my storage. Went last week and them dam rats poop was all over and did some damage too. When I went, a crowd was waiting there cursing and mad. Said they called and was told someone would be there, but no one came. I got there way later so they been waiting in the boiling son. That's why they shut the office cause too many complaints about the rats and insects that they don't plan to do anything about. Running away from their problems instead of fixing them. Some of these problems stem from the tall grass and trees they have in the back that never gets cut. All these Landlord's the same. All they care about is money loading their pockets but never interesting in upkeeping their property to keep us safe or make it habitable for us and our belongings. What hurts even more was my rent was raised less than 6 months of being there. I used to rent another public storage for like 3 or 4 years and the rent was raised once a year, not once every 6 months. What a shame. This world is all about greed and it's gonna get worse I tell you. YAHUSHUA HAMASHIACH is the only cure. Better get right with GOD.
Hidden fees. Unit is costing me more than double what I was quoted. Price goes up every month. They don't yell you this until you have your stuff moved in. It is too costly for me to hire the movers again to move my stuff to a different storage company, so I just have to take the loss(es) every month.
Besides the front employee that was very helpful . This storage is horrible . The elevator broke every time we added a small dolly on the elevator . Had to keep restarting the elevator myself . The condition of this place is falling apart . Their are people living out of their storages so theirs no way to get around most trucks etc . Very horrible experience.

Absolutely terrible location they will not work with you at all if you need it I have been with this location a long time before it was ps I have paid so much monies including late fees for a unit that somehow since covid has been 508$ from around 300 rats ate through everything in one unit and terrible bugs they auction your stuff off quickly find somewhere else to store your things I promise because if you need your stuff it will be ruined and again THIS THE WORST COMPANY NO STARS

First day here and it’s horrible !
Loaded up Sunday night 05/05 , Elevator locked at 9 and left my things in there since gate access was cut off. Came back at 05/06 at 7am because gate access is open at 6am but the elevator seems to be locked or just not working at all when hours of operations begin at 6am.
No one in the office , no one to speak to over the phone. Just stuck sitting here hours until someone comes in and had to eventually go back home and just wait and waste gas. Very dissatisfied with this property already. Horrible management and operation rules. False working business hours! I should be able to access elevator as soon as gate access is available.
This makes the moving process super stressful and inconvenient.

The ladies in the office are great! Good service. Nothing against them, they get 5 stars. The company "public storage" sucks I was there for years and had to deal with so many rent hikes. Went from a 10 x 15 at 150 a month to paying 300 a month the only way to lower it was to get a 10 x10 at 150 a month and am now paying almost 300.00 again... do not rent. Invest your money in a shed!

The rent goes up too much, too fast. You start out at an affordable rate, but if you plan on staying for a while, buyers' beware the rate will double within a year. The rats are ridiculous! The rats destroyed lots of my property and pooped everywhere. Ewwwh!

I went to that store 01/15/24 at 11:00 am the office was closed it suppose to be open at that time after 20 minutes waiting the “costumer service” lady had an attitude just why I couldn’t pay the reservation online. I let her know that she was having an attitude and she wants me to leave the office “since you don’t want me to deal with you” she said, yes she want me to be out of the property. thank God this happened before I rent the space

I want to start by saying I am very grateful for Ms. Secret for helping us out. Mrs. Marissa has not been very cooperative in helping us. She told us if the elevator is still broken, she will accommodate us. She did not follow up and he played the blame game. That is unprofessional to blame your colleague to clear your name. She thinks she can just treat customer anyway and make up stories and get away with it. I had to change my flight in the morning to fix the problem because Mrs. Marissa the manager could not help us out at 5:01pm. 1 minute after her shift ended. I am giving a 5 star to Ms. Secret for treating us with respect and curtesy. I give 0 stars to Mrs. Marissa. That will bring the stars to 3.
Worst experience ever I have two storage units there not for long, I work about 16 to 17 hours sometimes moving items in and out for buying trading and selling. The management is ridiculous. If you do anything to upset them they become Petty and threaten to ban you. One of my units was behind on payments so they threatened to give me a trespass because I was on the property going to my other unit. The manager was showing a video of her beating up another guest. This place is completely unprofessional and the manager should no longer be employed there this is the stairwell in the photos that is near my unit I tripped and almost killed myself down these stairs and the manager yelled at me and said I wasn't allowed to use the stairs anyone else was but not me she said if I use them she'll ban me from the property. Because I didn't look my best after working a 16-hour shift in Florida heat

Worse company to deal with. Never can find employees, lack of someone on property. You pay high azz rent and have no dollies to move your stuff. Lack of use of bathroom facilities. Why must I always have to go to gas station to take a piss. Makes no sense. If I could rate it a 0 I would.

I believe the reviews are written by the employees themselves. You cannot get into contact with anyone here. They don’t answer the phones. But they will harass you with phone calls when you miss a payment ? Store your belongings elsewhere this location is overpriced and they will charge you for the ac in their office if they could. I’ve called 8 times today after receiving one call from them.

The Elevator has been broken for months at this facility. I won a storage locker at an online auction. When I showed up the first time that's when they told me the elevator was broken. They told me I could wait until the elevator was fixed. Then a couple weeks later they called and said it was fixed. I showed up for a second time with a u-haul to pick up my stuff. But the elevator was still broken! I was told a manager would call me back. No one has returned my calls. I'm not out the cost of the locker and the rental for 2 U-hauls. I just noticed today that they've posted the same locker that I ALREADY PAID FOR on the auction website.

Operating hours are 9:30am for opening, it’s almost 10am and nobody has shown up to open the store. Not only does it cost a fortune to have your items stored here but they clearly make their own business hours.

This company doesn't care about their customer's time.
There was no way to get a hold of the attendant… office was closed with lights out, no way to know when they'd return. They don't put a sign on the window either so you're even aware that there is a person on the property.
When Marissa arrived back she was very friendly, so hold onto her for dear life & give her a raise asap.
other thing also… They make you auto pay on the first so if you need to leave on the third you have to pay for the entire month. 👎

Save your money, time, and energy, go elsewhere. I had several issues from people smoking in the building and leaving cigarette buts outside and inside my unit, general dirtiness. I fell hard one day because someone left a oil/grease residue on the floor. The elevator has been out for over 2 months. The list goes on. I don't necessarily blame public storage, I have used them before in other neighborhoods and had minimal issues, but this one, forget it.

Just when i thought all hope was lost Associate Marisa was fantastic and helpful. I was planning on changing storage companies due to the high increase in my rent but then i spoke to Marisa. I had spoken to a male representative about a month ago who was not helpful and disregarded my bill request for help on my unit. he said nothing could be done and just shut me down even though i have never asked for help before and have been a customer for years now. With everything increasing i needed some financial assistance from Public Storage. I am so thankful I got Marisa on the phone, she managed to help in the request to lower the cost of my monthly rent. She was empathetic to my situation and managed to lower the rate of my property unit. I will forever be thankful Marisa. Thank you for your amazing customer service, thank you for your understanding and for being a kind human. This worlds need more people like Marisa. In a time where contact-free delivery and curbside service has become the norm, it is great to know that some places still have A+ customer service, complete with a smile! Marissa is AWESOME!! She knows her job and does it really well. I walked in completely unsure of what I wanted and was treated like a VIP! I got a tour of different units and was immediately convinced I had lucked into the right place. There are 100 storage unit facilities on I95, and from the highway they all look the same. It’s only when you walk into the lobby of this specific Public Storage that you realize how important Marissa’s expertise is!! I can’t say enough about the positive experience and highly recommend this property!

The biggest issue I have is the fire retardant that is sprayed on the ceiling slowly rots away and falls all over your furniture. Its make up has fiberglass in it and if you are moving things ot taking things out your need to shed your clothes asap because you itch everywhere. Then you have the rats eating away at every box or piece of paper is fair game with them. The smell is toxic droppings are all over everything. For the price you pay you would think that there would be better conditions in order to secure your things. But the people are really nice !!
