There is NEVER any moving carts available. They expect 1 or 2 to be enough. If you get here and there is anyone else moving in or out there will be no carts available so bring your own.

First of all, the manager of the property is terrible and Horrible ; you should investigate that ASAP the general quality of service is quite poor. Whenever I call the location in the morning or the afternoon before 5 p.m., they never ever answer I called the manager ten times one day, but she did not pick up at all. This is the worst location by FAR. My family and I are about to move out very very soon.

This massive facility has exactly 2 carts for people who pay insane rates to use to load their things and get them upstairs. The lady who works here said that they didn’t need to provide carts and that it was just a courtesy. They said just carry everything up by hand. Do not rent from here. The owner needs to invest in the customers more.
If I could give 0 stars I would. Very poor customer service. No way to get in contact with anyone to close my account before I received anther bill. When I finally received a call back, I received the poorest customer service. The rep was immediately rude & defensive about the fact that she is attending other customers, asking that I empathize with the way their staff is set up because she is the only one there, and giving an attitude (not my problem - this is a business, work or find a new job). She could not be reached for the past three weeks because of this? I hadn't even placed anything in the unit, agreed to pay the first month. Found out I would not be needing the unit afterwards, and asked that my account be closed. They message on a do not reply email, and a do not reply text. No one answers when I call. How I was supposed to be able to close the account before another is beyond me. I work everyday from 7-6. There should be a way to get to someone outside of just plain out skipping work and showing up to the building. This will be my first & last experience with this company. Stored nothing. Getting charged two months worth, due to a lack of response from staff and the only reasoning they had was " I was busy with other customers." Inexcusable and pathetic. Disgusting. I work with an honest business and that wouldn't fly for a second here. The woman behind the counter must've been sleeping because I called about ten times back to back during my working hours in hopes of finally getting a response, and no answer. And the call back was in such poor enlightenment. Not even an ounce of understanding. Just attitude.

Difficult to use. Screen kept locking on the rental procedure. Requires insurance and is not optional. Rip off. I do not need a lock because I had gotten one for these rentals before but would not allow to proceed without it. Not customer friendly

The manager at this location in Cooper City is racist!!! We were having a conversation and because she doesn’t like what is said she called me aggressive. I didn’t raise my voice or change my tone to be aggressive. I speaking in my normal tone and because my skin color I was considered aggressive. My storage unit was paid for before I arrived at this location and she locked it after our conversation. She called a worker at the location an had them to lock my storage for no reason. She went ahead and called the Police and told them I was aggressive. The police came and they didn’t understand why she called them and inform me to contact them when I have to go to my storage just in case she try to lie on me again . She won’t allow me to access my storage that I pay for because of her own personal reason. I advise anyone of minority not to rent there because the manager discriminates against us.

UPDATE: RUN!!! RUN AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AS FAST AS YOU CAN! Was a 5 Star experience moving in, once you move in though you quickly discover how subpar the facility & its practices are compared to Sunshine Self Storage next door.
1) No flatbed hand trucks avail for use, after the front office closes at 6pm.
2) The wireless elevator system is a nightmare if you have more than one storage unit on separate floors.
3) Property Manager and the Corporate Office both have different information to give when you request information pertaining to the practices/rules. Liliana although angel-like at first during move in really didn’t seem as friendly when she -contrary to what her co-workers (Even her senior who I spoke to over the phone) deemed as unfair, wouldn’t allow me into my unit although it was paid current. Something also tells me that maybe if I was of a lighter skin color I would’ve been treated more appropriate. Very disheartening & disappointing, especially since we are both MINORITIES.
4) No staff present even though there is supposed to be someone available to help the customers up until 6pm. Imagine renting from a storage company spending hundreds of dollars $, only to realize that there’s no one in the office to assist or aid you, when the sign on the front of the door says someone should be in office until 5 or 6pm. Terrible.

In all the public storage that I’ve been to this location which is at 9495 Sheridan St., Cooper city has been the best location on arrival Miss Awilda have been sweeping and cleaning. This place is spick and span. She needs a salary increase because she’s amazing and working so hard she’s been cleaning the whole place. I can actually eat off the floor and the lobby is so very well organized.

This is a horrible setup, unless the elevator is on the floor you are on, you cannot call it so you are literally stuck. Call boxes throughout facility do not work.

Edit: Today 7/28/22 I had a EXTREMELY different & pleasant experience. Liliana is exceptionally friendly, courteous & knowledgeable, which is the same wonderful person I dealt with, when I first got the unit. I believe if shes a great asset to this company. She solved my problem with ease & understood what I needed. She goes above & beyond the customer service from the 800 numbers I previously experienced. Because she changed my experience to been very accommodating, I will change my rating to 5 stars⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Liliana definitely is who I want to deal with from now on.

RATING IS ACTUALLY MINUS STARS. This place is past incompetent. I have paid 3 months so far & every time I need access to my storage space. Theres no access. Managers leave the place before they're suppose to, its 4:00pm & they office is closed when the door says 6:00pm, carts are locked or disappeared somewhere so I cant use any carts to move my stuff. ELEVATOR DOESNT WORK. Yeah, when you 1st go in to start an account, managers are friendly & accommodating until after they get your business & you call 800 CST service, after that it's all downhill from there.
These pleasant posts are LIIIIIIEEEEEESSSSSS. Theres NO WAY these people are not having a difficult time. I rarely go to my storage & I have had a problem EACH & EVERY TIME I GO & call cust serv number. So the chances of these reviews been lies are greater than none.
I have called countless of times & left messages for a district manager & NOBODY CALLS BACK. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY AT THIS PLACE & SAFE SOME AGGREVIATION. DONT EVER DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩
NOT ONLY THAT THEY HAVE INCREASED THE RENT $40 AFTER 3 MONTHS OF RENTING HERE...RUUUUUUNNNN!!! THEY ARE THEFTS.

My experience with Lilian’s& awilda were extremely informative, helpful and very understanding and sensitive to my needs in regards to getting a storage unit for my mother that was moving from The villages in Florida. The process was painless and a pleased to work with both of these extraordinary women. I have rented storage units at other places before and have never experienced exemplary customer service as I did at this specific location in Cooper City. Both of these women deserve a promotion hands down. Truly an amazing team!
